Re: Cucina Del Capitano VS. La Cucina... we've been to NCL La Cucina 4 times on different ships (not the Bliss) and CCL Cucina Del Capitano at least that many times! I remember when Carnival charged only $15 per person, LOL. On NCL, i always get the "OSSO BUCCO ALA MILANESE" in a deep dish plate surrounded by (yellow) saffron risotto. I fell in love with this dish on our 2nd trip to Milan and the NCL menu dish is a credible imitation. Years ago (5-6) the Osso Bucco was also on Carnival's La Cucina Del Capitano menu but alas no longer... so now i get the Porcini (short rib) and wish i was eating at La Cucina.

We’ e been on both as well and I don't know. I hate the cheesy you need to have fun crap on CCL. I also hate the backing up of port debarking with CCLs come take a photo with our cheesy staff dressed like a character at a 5-year-old's birthday party. I also love having an actual dinner with NCL and all the variety. If you like Carnival, NCL may not be for you. We hate the annoying over-the-top you can’t have fun unless acting like a 2-year-old mentality of CCL. CCL is like a McDonald back in the 80s where NCL is like visiting your local nice burger joint that has a great bar. If you bring kids and want to see 1000s of kids then CCL is the obvious choice.

@@jgwin5150 both lines have their merits for us. I've never felt the way you describe Carnival though. Except an overabundance of kids at certain times of the year.

@@bragginsadventures I'm surprised. We cruised on them many times due to convenience and always felt that way. I remember being in Cabo and trying to get off the ship to meet our own excursion and it took over half an hour because the crew stopped everyone from getting on a tender for a stupid fake pirate picture and got mad when we walked by them without stopping.

@@jgwin5150 strange, we've never experienced that. Been on a Carnival cruise to Cabo 3 times this year alone without issue.
