Remember, every destination has its quirks, and Hanoi is no exception. Whether you're a seasoned traveler or planning your first visit, this vlog provides insights into the less ideal aspects of Hanoi and Vietnam. At the end of the video, I discuss some more positive aspects, including Vietnamese food!

I'm sorry about the problems you encountered, the personalities of each region are almost different: Northerners are quite hot-tempered but kind, but negativity will pile up to defend your point of view. Keep save and have a good journey

Thanks for commenting... actually there weren't too many problems and it was all mostly positive. You get used to the noise eventually and most people are very welcoming and friendly. The first episode focused more on the pros of Hanoi if you get a chance to watch that one too! 😃

The air pollution in Hanoi is ranked 2nd worst in the world. It is NOT something you have to contend with when living in SE Asia. It is only certain mega-cities and several smaller ones near industry. Hanoi's actual air pollution levels are MUCH higher than those reported by the weather monitoring AQI monitors within the city and the level you will see reported online as AQI. For example yesterday the weather app reported an AQI of 165 in Hanoi but my handhald air quality meter was reporting a level of 229 in the suburbs of Hanoi. Poor air in Hanoi will shave many years off of your life. Full stop. No one should consider living in Hanoi until this extreme problem is dealt with.

Wow 2nd worst is surprising. That's what I meant referring to the mega cities in SE Asia. At least Hanoi isn't as polluted as big cities in India or China where the AQI maxes out at 500. Maybe we can all buy purified bottled air at 7-eleven and Circle K soon. 😅
