Being your own boss is great some days and other days it makes you want to go clock in and work for somebody else. Trust me, I’m five years into it and speak from experience. I will say most days I love the freedom of it though.

@RAH Capital There's always one in a crowd, I can see that your line of work is a professional internet troll, how's the pay? I did my dues, my days are done, I retired years ago, These days, I just feed the birds and watch the grand kids grow up.

SNAKES! " I'm going to take down one tree" ... 6 minutes later he's opened up a new pad site for building a home. Man, that's some NICE rich looking dirt! Why would five people not like this video? It was informative, interesting and showed how to install a drainage system. Geeze, go figure!
Because its some butt hole that can’t stand it that Chris is got a new Mini from working his ass off 6-7 days a week and they don’t so it pisses them off. Lol. There’s always a bad apple in every pile
Moving your own equipment can save a lot of money. Until getting into big equipment. That gets costly and the liabilitys of it. It’s easier to just hire it out most of the time.
Hey Chris, this is off topic for the video, but here in the UK, our towing vehicles have to be heavier than the trailer and trailers load combined, we have vosa (department of transportation in America) weigh bridges, and if they think were unevenly loaded, they pull us over, make us weigh the combo, and fine us if were wrong Also, without taking an additional trailer licence, were only allowed a certain limit, For instance, i have a tipper truck probably around the same size as your pickup truck It weighs in at 2 tons, on my licence im only allowed 3.5 tons gross vehicle and load weight, which means i only have 1.5 tons to play with Most transporter trailers strong enough for a mini would weigh about 800kg, which means if i had a mini on it, it would only be allowed to be 700kg So i cant even get away with loading up the truck bed with bulk bags or gravel or anything to make the truck weigh more than a trailer and a mini, because id be way over my licence limit, which of course i have never ever done 😂 Actually, there was this one hold my beer moment 😂 So, truck is 2 tons, i had 2 bulk bags of sand on the bed, 2 packs of 2 by 2 by 50 slabs on the bed, plus all my tools, back end of the cab rammed with tools, trailer hooked up with two bulk bags of gravel, another two packs of slabs, a pile of soil that probably weighed about 5 tons, then i drove about 10 miles, picked up two 40 foot long, 6 foot wide steel decks that bolt to the side of a single wide trailer, plus the steel steps 😂😂😂 I could have done with a big rig towing a flatbed really 😂😂😂
Man that’s a nice looking mini. 👍 by the way, I like it when you show how much you have to get in and out of the excavator to make work happen. I like seeing all the other stuff “behind the scenes.”
I'm sorry your big metals are broke down! But we just bought a mini for yard and farm projects we need you to do some mini work to teach us how to do it right. Thanks for teaching and doing quality
Chris that is one tough little machine that puts the 220 to shame the way it manhandled them trees LOL Glad you are ok and back knocking down trees hahah nice job!!!!!
I have a Takeuchi TL6R. No DEF but still have the DPF issue. Huge pain in the ass if engine is not run at high enough RPM. Particulate matter, how stupid does that get.
@@sitrucpmek1 The machine needs the higher RPM to build heat for the scrubber to work and get plugged up. Some of the John Deere you need to operate at a high RPM or its trouble.
Modern technology, let's make them have to burn and buy more fuel just to pat our own backs and brag we are environmentally conscience when running for re-election.
Chris, that pipe brings back some memories. Back in the 80's I attended a private school, and on the way to school on day my mom saw a piece of this laying along the road. I'm thinking it was about the same diameter of the pipe you are using, and about 3' long. Many of the kids loved to play in this. On at least one occasion, a kid would get inside, and another would roll it around with the kid inside. I was in Jr high at the time, so I would have been a bit big for in there...
Hi Chris , I don't know how many times you have said something is in backwards. You always look at the big picture not just doing an awesome job but looking out for the Customer . Thought on your part could save them money in future. 👍👌 Couple driveways and you will be all back at full power lol stay safe and Happy 👍.🇨🇦 Craig
Nice job, mini to the rescue, never hurts to make a customer happy and get the project done earlier than estimated. Do you ever have nightmares of back up beepers that you can't find or turn off? lol
The New Mini: "Does this trailer make me look small?" Perfect Perspective Setup when the Mini appears, looking so tiny! You excell at Effect. My hat's off to you Chris!
Funny. I live in an "older" suburb in the Montreal area. My house like most around are 36 y.o. I'm the older owner around in my area. Most houses are now bought by young couples with small children. Most "old" houses are modernized, including landscaping. The other day, I was watching a 30 something guy working with his Yanmar mini and an older skidsteer, doing a complete makeover landscape. While he took a break, we chatted a bit and I told him he reminded you. Heck, he told me, he's been following you for some years and you actually did inspire him to quit his IT, secure but day to day, numbing job. After a quick market analysis, he found the opportunities were endless. He, like you, could work 12/12/7 now ! And he takes 3 months vacation every winter - here, winter is REALLY cold and harsh. With wife and 3 children. Would he ever turn back ? No way ! You live a good life son. 👍
For me, the rolling out of the new FlagShip Yanmar Mini for a maiden project voyage seems quite apropos, given the shenanigans, currently flaring up with the Maxi units...
Wow 😍 the New mini is Working great Chris. On the jobsite nice and clean she is looking, Hardly got dirty, just the tracks. The New mini looks a Lot Better then the old One u Were Working with in Video from yesterday. Hope To See more videos where the Mini is in action 😎👍👍.
The new video is very good and to show that your new * strawberry is a little very good excavator for small works, turning and space saving. A very good buying. Congratulations!, 🇦🇹
16 minutes after upload, I am ready to watch. You have Cherry Cola set up to cut trees like the 220 does - Cool. Nice toothpick maker. Nice touch of using the grading bucket like a mason`s trowel shaping mud at the end of the pipe.
Making money with the mini. I hope that the cost of fixing the big machines can be covered soon. I'm surprized that the previous land owner didn't set that culvert before selling. I'd see thatas enhancing the proper value.
Well Chris that was a good first project for your mini, and like you said it was a quick and easy job. Lol. But anyway brother you and John in yawls family stay safe and keep the videos coming

Exactly what I was thinking. Is "dirt art" or "dirt sculpting" a thing? If it wasn't it is now.
While Chris was moving the pipes into place, I could hear all the birds and cicadas. NC is obviously a wonderful place.

Having an angle blade on that will come in pretty handy I'm sure. Nice machine.
You can sure see the difference in the sandy soil when trees dump leaves over and over - turns into loam. Love that swivel head !
