This is good stuff and almost all the guys I know except me hunting out of a ladder stand never use these. Big mistake IMO. Thanks for sharing maybe your video will save a fall this upcoming season. I have mostly metal ladders along with an elevated blind with a wooden ladder like yours. During the season the wooden rungs of mine get very slippery with moss . I found the ice cleats called "K1 mid sole cleats" that I keep in my bag all season. These give a great bite into the wood while climbing. Easy to slip on, relatively cheap and they weight a couple oz so it's really not a big deal to keep them in my bag. You seem like a avid hunter. I'm sure you checked it but that ladder looks very weathered. Make sure to check it well friend!
Ricky got to have the right stuff for you to get up and down !!! It is easier to tell a young kid that !!! Start a young one out about the high of you so they can go about their business but QUIETLY !!! No gun or anything at that !!! But you know how kids are in the summer time they like to make forts !!! I did this with my son when he was up there the first time He said he needed help getting down!!! Well Mom's are great at helping but I told him he got up there he could get down then !!! It was the best way to teach a Young One the ways of life then !!! He did great things in the Army and also growing up in life!!!
@@RickyVentures Yeah I know but with talking to them and their interest in hunting and knowing you have to be QUIET WARY QUIET haha that will do it for them then !!! I took my 8 yr old on out with me to be with me to learn the ropes so to speak !!! Linda P.

Thank you but I hope you put new ladder on tree
Yeah, it needs a new ladder. I haven't used this stand lately so, I've been putting off replacing the ladder.
Doing a safety video without a safety harness on attached to the tree?
LOL! You got a point. :)
