This deck was the first one I had in my life, back 24 years ago. I used it alone for about ten years, and last year I bought this anniversary edition. I love it!!!
I need to thank you Lisa. I have had this deck for ages, and didn't realise that it came with a bag! I just went and checked the box, and low and behold there it was 😂❤️
Hi there! Browsing your reviews for’enchanted tarot’ ( May 2023). Really helpful. Decided to buy as bargain £15 on Amazon. Then discovered a newer version released April 2023 ( last month) without borders and general upgrade. Slightly more expensive at £22 but have ordered for delivery tomorrow. Thanks as always Lisa for your insight and wisdom
Many years ago when the first edition came out I purchased this deck and it soon became my main working deck. I loved the romantic theme and the colors. It will always have a special place in my heart. I have bought several versions over the years including this anniversary edition, but I still use my old well used original edition because it feels like an old friend.
The original was my first ever tarot deck and I literally just got this newer version today so I don't need to worry about damaging the original. I'm not a card stock snob, but the card stock in the original is much thicker which I do prefer. I absolutely love the art so much though! Still a beautiful deck even though I'm not sure my small hands will be able to handle them. 😂
I have the Zerner-Farber version of this deck, and the detailing is lost in the smaller size. It’s also borderless, which makes for a confusing view when the cards are close together. I think the borders on the larger version is a plus.
Ended up with the Instant Tarot Reader version (which yes is the Zerner Farber) years ago. Certainly benefits from the larger size here (and much nicer colors and GREAT backs). Also that Instant book was the worst to learn from, it just gives quick advice/divinatory meanings based on place in spread. These cards blend together enough that you really need the actual symbolism to learn what you're looking at. Not a good starter deck to me, also in that it skews very soft and positive, but in a remote dreamy way (like Romantic poetry, always put me in mind of Coleridge's Kubla Khan). Which makes it very nice as a secondary deck. I do like it but this book looks better, and it's a good deck for being in touch with your emotions. The book in this kit looks great and I'm impressed at the price.
Now I see 30th edition available. Do you know any differences between 25th and 30th edition of this deck? Are they just reprinting or adjusted some parts? Thank you.
Glad to see I am not the only one with multiple version of this deck. I love All three for different reasons. I almost didn't buy the anniversary edition and was so glad I did.
I'm so glad you have this deck. It was one of my first way back in the 90s and was the first deck my mum gave me a reading with. The original deck is still the one she uses most. The images used where all full sized tapestries made by Amy and they where displayed in galleries in NYC. She has a fashion line as well of couture clothing and jewellery. Her and Monte are husband and wife. And yes! You are right about the playing card aspect. Each minor sits within a frame of the playing card suit for that element. I've done many of the Enchantments over the years and it's one of my go to decks for any clients who are going through difficult relationship issues. 💜
I got this deck a few days ago, I found it on this little bookstore site for $16 including shipping and my version was from 2006 but it had never been opened. The cards are small but I loved them because they fit my hands perfectly and they shuffle very well
This was the third video I watched about review on this gorgeous deck, I skipped it when I first started with tarot 3 years ago, and today it found me again. So beautiful and I can now really appreciate the artwork fully, as I understand much more about the symbolism in tarot. Ordered it just now and I looooove that it is an affordable deck with full detailed book, so luxurious!! Magical :-) Timing is everything. thank you Lisa, I love your deep dives!
the first edition of this deck was my very first deck and a few years ago when my daughter started with tarot i gifted these to her. my boyfriend just gifted me with the anniversary edition and it was like reuniting with an old friend.
Thanks for zooming in so much on the art! This is one deck that’s hard to get an impression of in videos because the artwork is so detailed. There’s sooo much more texture than I thought! I could see you touching the cards as if you wanted to feel it :) While the artwork is so masterful, it’s not really my aesthetic. But dude that guidebook! I have such a hard time passing up such a thorough guidebook. Also I love the over large card size. 😊
I managed to get a 1st edition which I preferred as I don't like the coloured borders of the newer editions. Its quite the doorstop (big and at least 350 if not 400gsm) which I'm not in love with but still - beautiful deck
I LOVE this deck and the book is amazing! I trimmed my deck down to the borders and it's the size of a standard tarot and I love it. I almost felt like it was designed to be trimmed, it worked out so perfectly! Of course I lost the titles, but I went in and wrote the names on each card which, in my opinion, matched the crafty look of the deck so it worked. Also, the backs remind me of pearl. SO beautiful.
@@JPeeee No, that doesn't happen in my experience. The connection I have to the cards is what creates the magic, not the cards themselves. Trimming enhances that connection for me. I am sure all readers do things differently though so just do what feels right to you. I hope this answers your question.
To anyone comparing this deck to the recent Zerner Farber gilded edition: This guidebook is better. It explains the design choices rather than giving broad general advice. The ZF has cropped images. Which, if you're a fan of the art, is disappointing. For example, the leaves at the top of the majors are missing their tips.
Such beautiful deck, great guidebook. I actually love to pair it with a same size Marseille deck I have. The readings I get from both together are on point. Enjoy it!
I often film walkthroughs when I first get decks and release them when it makes sense, such as closer to when I work with them. I haven't worked with this deck yet .... :) I released the video now because it was requested in a comment on this week's antihaul - so no further feedback just yet!
I bought this and the edges were all chipped and peeling , must of been cut badly. They were big cards. Sadly I returned it . Box was beautiful though..
are these cards glossy or matte? and do the backs have gold foil? im asking because i ordered it from amazon & the cards are very matte, no shine and the backs are matte and no foil anywhere

I love this deck! I trimmed mine and definitely had to use the images in the back of the book to ID a few of the cards.
Glad to see I am not the only one with multiple version of this deck. I love All three for different reasons. I almost didn't buy the anniversary edition and was so glad I did.
I have the original first edition. It looks all fluffy but it gives me straight up answers. I love this deck! Enjoy!

YES! there's SO much more texture than I thought from videos I'd seen! Love that it translated okay in my video - yay! The guidebook is EXCELLENT!

Ohhh I’m inspired to break mine back out!! I love how whimsical it is 💜
Will be interested to see a comparison of enchanted tarot to textured tarot
Ooooh good idea!

Just finished the video. No I haven't used the index in the back with my borderless cards, I wrote on them instead. I forgot it was there! Very cool.
Hi. This might sound kinda stupid but trimming doesnt take away the cards "power", magic?

I have the original...Mine is tiny! It is still my favorite deck. Thought of buying the much bigger one! 😁

You sold me on this deck, especially as it's an anniversary edition. It felt like a must have. 💝
You recorded this in February? Do you still feel the same way about it 3 months later?

I have the deck. The book that it comes with is awesome.
This was one of the first decks I ever brought and I love it so much 🌸💜🌸💜
stunning!!!!!!!! love the color sequence, too.
I couldn't work with this deck, I hated the size of the cards. I did like the artwork though.
I bought this and the edges were all chipped and peeling , must of been cut badly. They were big cards. Sadly I returned it . Box was beautiful though..
Lisa, Are you aware that there is a coloring book of the majors of this deck?
NOPE I don't think I was! But I'm so glad you mentioned it. I'll have to think about that!
are these cards glossy or matte? and do the backs have gold foil? im asking because i ordered it from amazon & the cards are very matte, no shine and the backs are matte and no foil anywhere
Mine are not glossy at all.. and no foiling. :)
No, no foiling and matte finish
I have it and I love it🤗❤️
I watched this twice looking for your comment on the quality of the card stock. Hmm...you always say something (?)
It feels really standard... .like the same as any basic US Games deck like a RWS? Sorry I omitted it :)
I just got the 30th year addition and if the bags are the same, then it would hold fine on a wall. SMH
