Melissa Agretti was one of the BEST characters on that show, and Ana Alicia was one of the most talented members of the cast. A Real shame it was ended that way.

Melissa was by far my fave character. It was a little stange when she came back as Sam. I believe it was a huge mistake to fire her as she was so popular. Totallu love her and enjoy all the episodes and cliffhangers.
Personally, it bugged me that pretty much any one who left the show their character was killed: Ana-Alicia, Susan Sullivan, Robert Foxworth, Abby Dalton (at least the first time, but they brought her back) and a few others. It's really sad, because both characters were really good.
In the 80's while in Jr. High I had an insane crush on Ana Alicia during her time on the TV series Falcon Crest. Very talented actress and OMG she was strikingly gorgeous. Great memories..
Ridiculous that she was still on the payroll and instead of utilising her character, they killed her off! One of the nails in Falcon Crest's coffin, very sad!
when Falcon Crest made her a regular cast member in season 2 the show changed dynamic for the better..Mellisa was a fine addition the show and her presence made a huge impact on the storylines..she was sadly missed when her character was killed off. By season 9 the show was terrible..it had lost all credability..it bared no relation to its first few seasons..a third of the original cast was gone and even Jane Wyman was absent for most of the final season .
Ana Alicia’s so beautiful! Love this clip! Pure Grace! But I hold a grudge! The producers and TV executives killed off everything that was dear to me! Melissa! Dynasty, The Colbys, Hart To Hart…they also ruined Knots Landing and Dallas! It’s just not fair!
She was fired from CBS, and there were several different rumors as to why. One was that they wanted a younger, "more attractive" female morning anchor; another was that network executives thought she was gaining too much weight; a third was that she was a diva and impossible for others to work with. I've actually met her in person and found her to be both very approachable and likeable.
Just UNFORGETTABLE!!! I will always remember her and her character in that TV series as well... What memories!!!

For me, Ana-Alicia and Susan Sullivan leaving were nails in the coffin. I also thought that getting rid of Dan and Carly was a big mistake.

They should have never let her go. The Samantha Ross storyline of the last season was ridiculous.
I;m sure they paid a pretty penny to get her back on the show. Definitely one of the biggest mistakes they made.
