I have a friend that's a republican and he and I were talking this morning and he said he doesn't like Trump because he lies . He asked me if other Republicans don't like Trump either and I told him yes , quite a few and for the same reason. Cant trust him .

For once, the delay, delay, delay playbook has backfired. Bannon will be in prison for the most critical months of the campaign, into October. If he had just faced the music months ago, he would have already served the sentence and could have been grifting off it all this time. Could have written a book, My Time in the Big House.

Bannon got WAY MORE than due process and opportunity to complete his appeal process. If two years isn't enough to demonstrate that you were wrongly convicted then it doesn't seem like you have much of a case.

Is Bannon serving his short 4 mos. in "jail" and not "prison", because he's going for such a short time?

Yes. I think it's 12 months or less as a sentence that is served in jail. Prisons are for sentences over a year in length. Seems like you know the rest of the differences and who resides in each, and you got the short sentence bit correct too. (Not sure it's exactly the same in all jurisdictions though, but essentially you're correct.) Hopefully prison is coming over his fraud case.
Jail is usually worse than prison . So I hope he goes jail first .
