These are two totally different paradigms within 3D rendering. Also if I'm not mistaken you can take Blender scenes and render them with POV-Ray. The texturing and pattern creating in POV-Ray is unmatched. It's really, really great, even though you have to script it. And the fact that it's scripting first, makes it so you can do far more interesting math stuffs with POV. But ofc Blender is getting to be the industry standard these days, and it's pretty great for modelling, if not the greatest.
Idea: Make the rough shapes and models in Blender. Import into POV and do the patterning there, and the 3D textures, with math models. That would be a great combo!
why would you even bother to compare these two? also there are thee rendering engines in blender, workbench, cycles, and eevee. this video is literally useless
I wanna learn pov ray it just has that cool late 90s early 2000s look. Truly unmatched.

Too bad you don't mention authors... many POV images by Gilles Tran and Jaime Vives Piqueres, there.
Can you create animation movies in pov ray by stitching scenes together?
1:11 there is an AMD RPR demo picture that looks very similar to that one.
2:41 looks like a pic from EVE Online.
What scene is PovRay, and what scene is Blender, please?
Each scene shows the logo of each software.
почему картинки разные 🤦
Because difference in how the rendering is computed by the two different rendering engines
@@JS-jh4cy And how will I see it in different pictures? If the same scene was rendered by different engines then the difference would be visible.

You can add extra render engines to Blender.
PovRay is one of them.
