- Lucas and I take my new boat out for the first bowfishing trip of the year. were not sure what to expect with the cold weather and wind but surprisingly we have a great night of fishing.

Float pods will 100% help. I've got a 1548 with 3 batteries, 6 gal tank and a 25 merc 4 stroke. Very similar to your setup. Pods help keep that rear end up. Especially when we get a pile of fish in the barrel.

I have a 18’ flat bottom boat but had issues with the 35 HP Johnson I have on it!! I was able to replace all the wiring on it and just need to get it out and see if that fixed it or not??? You wouldn’t no some one with a 35HP to 50Hp for sale??? I’m definitely looking for a good running out board motor for my 18’ wide body flat bottom boat!!! Please let me know buddy???

You could move the batteries to the front. Put them under that front shooting platform.
I wanted to but I’d have to raise the platform another 2-1/2” inches to get them to fit. I got float pods welded on and it’s way better now!

What do they do with the carp? I know they aren’t the best eating, and they are also invasive so it’s good they take a couple, but do they just throw them away?

A few misses left out in this video but most of the time our shooting is decent. We have some bad nights with lots of misses once in awhile 🤣

why do you have a long shaft trolling motor on the front of your bow. I see it alot and sure don't understand why people want that wright in the middle of the shooting lane. the lower the better.
I got it used for a great deal on my first boat and have had it ever since with no issues. Hard to go spend over a grand on a new one just to run it through the gravel and harsh conditions of bowfishing.
