- I GOT STUCK ON A PARADISE ISLAND IN THE PHILIPPINES!
Well, for two hours at least!
This was one crazy adventure from Roxas City in Capiz to Balud on Masbate Island!
And I had no idea that I'd be stuck on Jintotolo Island for 2 hours while they unloaded!

As I listened to your conversations with people on that island stopover, I heard Tagalog, Bicol, Cebuano. The family asked if you speak Masbateño and mentioned that they spoke Hiligaynon. Of course, English.
Masbate is already part of the Bicol Region but Masbatenos have their own dialect just like any other province. This place you visited is not usually seen in many vlogs. Nice to know that there are nice places such as this.
Foreign or local vloggers enthusiast in the country are in a traditional single route but this British Visaya guy base in Davao is one that i admire (since he was started talking his camera about his life and suffering experiences fighting for the healing that someday he will overcome and set himself free) he jumped and stumble on different path even the route is not easy and not clear who would imagine that the real nature adventure is just out of this world and the picture is just so amazing even a little glimpse is a pure crystal clear with pristine clear water your amazing dude and keep it up mabuhay ka.
Through your vlogs i was able to see beautiful hidden gems of the philippines i never thought it exist. Though im just watching it i felt i was there touring arround too, you and colas are my fav. You both know more about our country, culture, geography etc. Than most of us filipinos.

Masbate group of islands are incredibly amazing from above. Love the lighthouse u stumbled on. Its just sad it looks a bit neglected but even so it is still standing beautiful. PH is truly a diverse archipelago with miles and miles of pristine shorelines. Keep trucking KD! And thanks for sharing all those wonderful places and cordial Filipinos. Btw karaoke pa more lol...

Nice find Kumander. They generally speak Hiligaynon there since closer to Panay. But you can see Pinoys can speak English, Tagalog, Cebuano etc

If you've heard Scottish english, some of them sounds like bisaya people, having like stiff tounge, trying to speak english.

Hello KD, you stumble again what other pristine and natural beach, Masbate is part of Bicol region but yes, they have their own dialect and we Bikolano's from Sorsogon have a mixture of Visayan and Bikolanos dialect too...that Lighthouse is awesome.....keep it coming KD...stay safe and God bless.

Palani is the best beach there if not one of the best in Masbate. I've just stayed there last month in Mandaon and visited my family. Kudos KD for visiting Masbate I think you're first or perhaps one of the few foreign vloggers who went vlogging there. Philippines will never cease to surprise you. Cheers and safe travels.
Hi Kumander, Masbate is kind of unique. Administratively, it’s part of Bicol but in all other aspects, like Linguistically, culturally and geographically we have more affinity with the Visayan region. Depending on where you live in the 3 main islands of Masbate, you can be speaking Ilongo, Cebuano and Waray and of course Masbateno which is a mixture of all these dialects with a lot of Spanish words thrown in. Only in some places in Burias island the locals speak Bicol since it is near the Camarines Sur coast. I was born in Ticao island facing Masbate mainland and so we speak Masbateno. We call it halo halo because of the said mixture of the different dialects. The beauty of our dialect is that we can more or less communicate and understand all of the Bisayan languages and dialects. Glad that you’re planning to come back to Masbate. Ticao island is a must, natural beauty and history is there to explore. The island is still pristine and practically untouched by tourism except by some divers who come to see the manta rays and the whale sharks in it’s natural habitat. Burias island is also still pristine and have beautiful beaches and waters. It’s close to Romblon and Sibuyan islands. By the way, where in Masbate is your wife originally from?

Kumander daot that is my hometown, if you visit masbate city drive all the way to cawayan masbate where you can ride a roro there going to pulangbato or hagnaya cebu.

Masbate is somewhat relevant to me. I never been there. But Cebu City Sinulog 1985 connected me to this place. I'm sure not going to miss your videos from Masbate.
Every summer when we have summer vacation during elementary days my parents brings us to Roxas when they deliver tiger prawns using that same route. Watching this video brings back memories KD. Thank you.

Very nice! My second home the beautiful island of Masbate. Born in Negros Occidental and my whole family migrated to Masbate when I 3 years old! I wish I knew you are coming there you can visit our fish farm in Milagros, Masbate.
Since you are from Masbate, may I ask a question? I hope it's ok. Who was the chief of police in Masbate in the year 1985? I've met someone from Masbate when I was in college. He said his father is the chief of police in Masbate.
