I have both a 2L and a 2L2HC. They are truly some of the best mouthpieces I have ever played. I always wanted something between a 2C and 1.5C in size and first got the 2L. Holy cow. For the first time ever I finally was playing with the sound I wanted. Notes were speaking much easier. My high range went from high C/D to high Eb/F without any real effort. The tone I get is so warm. After a month of adjusting (they play completely different to the bach mouthpieces I was playing before) I moved to a 2L2HC. I found that I could blend into the section more easier with the smaller mouthpiece (was playing a lot of 3rd trumpet). I start my doctoral degree this fall and am excited to play the 2L in orchestra. Hopefully sometime soon I can try out some of the M mouthpieces. I highly encourage everyone to try out lotus. They are so much more affordable then they should be and they play so much better than anything I've played before.
Jason, thank you so much for sharing your experience! It means the world to me to read your comment. Hoping the mouthpieces will continue to deliver for you for many years to come. If there's anything we can do for you, just send us a message. /Henrik
Man I can’t wait for my lotus mouthpieces to arrive! What a great demo, as all of them have been! I have the 2XL & 1M, on order the 2xl2 and 2m2. Now thinking of ordering these! Lol. Thanks for all the great videos. Adam is amazing!
I am always so taken aback by these demonstrations, Ottaviano sounds amazing, such a clean and technically skilled player. These mouthpieces are doing him justice for sure, and many other players. I have really wanted to purchase one for myself but am unsure how to approach buying one without playing it first. I am approaching the end of undergrad looking to go to grad school, and I currently play on a Pickett 2C with a #1 symphonic backbore and #27 standard throat, I’m not sure what the conversions are for Pickett gear to Lotus but I would love to purchase a mouthpiece! These are so cool!
So glad to hear that man. If I were you, I'd reach out to one of our dealers (or contact your favourite local dealer if we don't have a store represented close by) and tell them what size you're playing on, and that you'd like to try the LOTUS Mouthpieces. Thay way you can visit the store and find the right fit before you make the decision. Another option is to reach out to Charley at mouthpieces@lotustrumpets.com and ask him for a consultation. He'll give you a close fit. Then you can order it from our webpage and have a full 30-day money back guarantee if it's not the right fit. Hoping that helps. /Henrik
@@lotustrumpets6739 Yeah unfortunately I’m not nearby any dealers, and my local shop said they weren’t quite ready to carry Lotus yet. Thank you so much for the info I didn’t know you could do a consultation that’s great! I really appreciate it man
Здравствуйте я купил себе мундштук 2l2 gen lotus но немного расстроился потому что у меня есть 2m2 gen 3 ширина и контур полей совсем разные я теперь незнаю что мне делать 😢
Brass has a more typical sound for blending with an orchestral brass section. Maybe he just wasn't interested in altering his sound away from that very much.

I little confused. Isnt that 2L2 equal to 3C?
Or something between with 1.5 and 2 bach?

Out of interest why didn’t he try the same size in Bronze and Nickel?

There some place here in Japan to buy your products? Or only on internet?
