is there a training certification like the powder actuated tools the hilti rep comes out to the job site passes out cards or can you send me a video or schedule a class or is it simply plug and play ? commercial interior layout for wall systems
We've designed the PMD 200 to be easy to understand and use. It requires minimal training. We have some how-to videos here on our UA-cam channel if you want to check them out. Also, you can give our customer service team a call at 1-800-879-8000 (US) or 1-800-363-4458 (CA). They can put you in touch with a measuring specialist who can help as well. Thanks, -Sarah, Hilti North America Social Media Team
As a person who has been laying out buildings for 30 yrs i can use the pr 26 twice as fast to layout a building. The key factors I am looking for in this tool for layout implementation isn’t there. Doing layout isn’t complicated as it seems to a skilled journeyman. I was never sold on the total station. However I see where the original total station could work for ALL interior trades just a few adjustments an ALL trades buying along with the General contractors. Like I said without going in-depth the Pr 26 is still the ideal to use because of what your looking for when laying out a building in an ideal situation, only another skill veteran will understand what I am saying, the average new comer won’t.
Thanks for your question. The PMD 200 is not designed for setting up sheet piles; it is primarily an interior layout tool. -Sarah, Hilti North America Social Media Team
Hello Juan, sorry you're having some trouble. The PMD 200 can be set up in a few ways. If you don't have control lines given, you could use an offset from an I-beam, an existing wall, a grid line intersection. If you still need some help you can reach out to measuring support team (972)-403-2590!
4x4x6” steel I-beam, tape measure, sharpie, chalk line and the Dewalt laser floor tile guide and me. Easy and fast. By the time you fiddle fart entering tons of data, ill be done.
@@robertdooling3146 No. Again If it takes hours of data and set up you go right ahead. Ill be done and having lunch by the time you get started. I watched 3 guys try to measure out for a steel patio structure. Took 3 guys half a day. Tape measure, sharpie, chalk line, calculator and a 90 deg laser and im done by myself in 1-2 hours. Technology doesn't always do better. It also cant adjust for tiny differences you may come across without entering a bunch of new data.
Can it be mounted on a tripod? To shoot line I’ve obstacles like drywall piles and other materials found on jobsites.
can the pmd200 give you angle points or distance points that are only on the floor or can it give you those same points if they are elevated up 15 ft?
