Izzy is beautiful. My wife and I just turned 60 and are hesitant to get kittens that might outlive us but we’re going to see about adopting a couple older cats that maybe get passed over.

I'm a cat daddy myself. It's not unmanly to appreciate the smaller beasts called cats. When you have the lion personality you recognize the lion in cats.
I have rescued cats for most of my adult life, which included having a small rescue house for several years. I never had more than 10 cats at a time, but having my own place allowed potential adopters to meet the cats in a quiet, relaxed place. I had veterans with PTSD issues come to see cats because my place was easier than going to a shelter or pet store. Each time, a cat (generally not the one they had in mind) would zero in on the person and just refuse to leave them alone. Both went on to be great companion support cats for their people. No matter how many times I see that happen, it never grows old.
Izzy is your angel. She knows when you need her, and comes without being called. She lets you know when you need a "chill pill" and helps you to reassess the situation. She reminds you that you are at home, and everything will be alright. Izzy guards you to keep you safe from the anxiety that you brought back from the war. And what's more? She knows that's her calling in life. That's why she tags along with you whenever she can. It's love.

Beautiful story. It made me cry. No one truly owns a cat, they belong to the neighborhood. RIP my tuxedo cat Mr. KITTARO KITTIMOTTO. He adopted me when I moved into my house. @A Leopardess Sorry I don't care if you believe me or not. You don't seem to be street wise but Mr. Kittaro Kittimotto was very Street Wise. He couldn't be tricked. Before you try to lecture people you don't know try learning the proper term. No doubt, Kitarro was male. They get neutered not spayed. I told a part of a story. I once had 32 cats. Now I'm down to 3, there are 29 families whose lives have been enriched. My greatest joy was having 14 kittens bite claw and scratch me while I did my best to lay perfectly still. Cat therapy is something that cannot be described.
A real man is a cat lover. There’s nothing sexier than seeing a man handling and loving cats. Some women love seeing men with babies being good dads, but for me it’s seeing men with cats ❤️ you are the true men.
One of our cats chose us like Izzy chose this guy. My husband and I had gone to PetSmart to get food for our female cat and since we were looking to get her a kitten, we checked out the small display our local Humane Society had in the store. There was one kitten left so we asked to see it and the attendant was "well, he's really loud (and she wasn't kidding)" but she brought him out of his cage and handed him to me. He took one look at my husband, clawed his way across me and over my shoulder, jumped to my husband and mashed his entire face into my husband's neck and beard and, presto, we had a cat. Well, hubby had a cat. LOL The other cat who chose us was a barn cat from down the road a bit who left his farm because we found out later the owners there weren't caring for their barn cats. All but one of their cats left them over about a five month period. Anyway, this one, another male, came to our farm one day and set about the duties of a farm cat as though he were born and bred here. He wooed us by licking our ears and headbutting us when we'd be out in our hot tub, not to mention circling the house (and us when we were outdoors) singing us the song of his people at top volume. The final coup de grace came when he was in a fight with a coyote and ended up with his ear all but ripped off. He couldn't stay outdoors so we had his ear stitched up (kudos to Central Valley Animal Hospital in Bremerton, WA), and brought him indoors. He never left again. LOL Best barn cat ever.
They are from people who know this man inherited all that becuse the military doesn't pay you enough to buy a 1000 acre ranch with all those animals and equipment.
Btw yes cats are a huge blessing ....i was in a very dark place a few yrs ago just hating every single thing and i didn't and couldn't stand my self...These 2 are my comfort zone to its fullest even my breathing is more correct.Today im a whole lot better .

As I have said time and again. I love the horses, the dogs and Really love the cats. The way we treat ourselves is how we treat our Animals. Which is a good thing for All of us. The therapeutic value is not replaceable.

Real men respect all life. Cats, dogs, ranch animals, etc. Hell I feel bad about felling live trees. I did 26 years in the AF. My last deployment included 18 working dogs and handlers. If not for them it would have been a mostly unbearable time. I've always been a dog guy. Recently we were chosen by a stray tomcat to be his people. Have no idea where he came from, already neutered and in pretty sad shape from living on his own. Figured he'd be a barn cat, but he stays in the house mostly now. I'm fortunate to have him and our two dogs. I relate more to them than most people. I appreciate these animals' honesty.
Alright another crazy cat man do! We love our girls / cats they truly enrich our lives we are blessed to be their servants😻😸thanks for sharing your story and Izzy🥰
I cannot remember a time when I didn't share my life with cats and I'm 79. Cats are people too so never forget that we are animals too. I share my life now with 6 cats rescued from dumpters in Greece and 4 village cats that visit me every day. I feel very provledged to have so many friends who trust me and give me their love by purring on my lap.
I watched that short animated intro overt and over..and over. Its THE MOST ATTRACTIVE INTRO ever. The beautiful little one silhouette walks up and the lying soldier image and watched over him literally. Very nice ! the best.
My Maine Coone Callie would agree and appreciate everything you said, good sir. She helped me get out of a wheelchair after seven broken vertbrea. In my neck. Good kitty. Good kitty.
See doc on a correctional institution in Colorado where male inmates rehab cats. Absolutely inspiring! Good on ye, inmates, for not thinking you're too much a dood to treasure cats!
Cats always rule the dogs. One correction, say a claw in the dog’s sensitive nose, and one reinforcement when the dog forgets himself, is all it ever takes! If only parents could be so efficient! Cat is the alpha mammal forever.
Every single day I have the privilege of having my beautiful fur children to love and cuddle. I completely understand how animals are so loyal and comforting. They never judge you or speak badly to you. Izzy is extremely blessed to have a family that loves her so much and definitely another extension of this family .
All animals are special ❤️ but 🐈 s 🙀 😻 know if you really are a true animal person. They either accept you or they don't. All 4 are rescues. Our Ginger let us know at our local shelter he was coming home with us. 1 day while visiting my daughter was checking out a few others & Andy started 2 meow extremely loudly & pushing his head against the door of his cage. So, I informed her she had made someone VERY ANGRY and that's all it took. She then proceeded 2 remove out so we could pet him & the rest is History 🙏 so 2 speak. He's now 🐝 n with us over a year now. Little side note, I had actually seen his pic, in our local newspaper, as the pet of the week. It's a special weekly feature it does 2 hopefully get more ppl 2 adopt. I saw his pic & fell in love with him & said 2, his pic I would love 2 bring you home But wasn't sure could do it. We already had 2 & we live in a small apt. But guess he was 2 🐝 ours bc he's here now 4 good. Also after we adopted him we went back & adopted a Tuxedo named Misty. So, now we have 2 mancoons, 1 ginger, and 1 tuxedo. Yes, we're done 4 now. But they're like having 4 xtra kids. Anyway, thank you Sir 4 your service & may your & yours live a long & wonderful life together 🙆💖😻🙏🤩¯\_༼ ಥ ‿ ಥ ༽_
Awesome! I love cats also! It makes sense to me this fellow growing up with a cat or cats and coming back from Iraq and having a cat be therapeutic and help him calm down from anger, possible PTSD… Wonderful!
In the early 1990s, I was station at Corry Station for A-School in Pensacola FL. There were several cats on the base and they were under the protection of the Executive Officer of the base. They were on pest control detail. One day at lunch, i noticed about two dozen sailors standing stone still by the Mail room. They were watching a base cat stalk a bird. He missed his prey when he pounced. Suddenly, the sailors started booing the cat. They figured no self respecting Navy Cat would miss his target and that belong on the other side of the base with the Air Force members.
Thank god I had three cats to get me though the pandemic and teaching from home for 2 years! Nothing like going to sleep and waking up with 3 warm purr machines. They are entertainment as well. I do wish they'd help out around the house, but . . .
Given up at birth, grew up in the house of horrors state care system, aged out at 17 joined the US army. 28 years in retired went on pension in 2008. I was a miserable, isolated pissed off old vet that drank too much, used stimulants far too often to cope and slept with anything pretty. Life wasn't what it should have been in retirement Finally went to RSAT (drug and alcohol rehab) at the VA hospital and got right with Christ. Shrink at the VA wrote me a script for a house cat. Hated that but fast forward to today I have four. Cats changed everything in me and my life. Wouldn't have it any other way.
I worked as a vet tech for a cat shelter. I had an injury that gave me severe injuries and a stroke. When I returned to work I suffered from awful depression and self-doubt. The cats sensed it. In the free-roaming adoption areas when I'd come to give meds or change the litter or feed they'd come to me. Meowed for attention and just pets. It gave me therapy and them socialization. My cat at home would also just lay on my tummy and purr. We also had felons (since we were non profit we needed all the help we could get and they needed hours of community service) come to the shelter to help and it was so wholesome to see them putting skills they had pre-prison to utelize and help (plumbing, construction, etc) and then see them tenderly cuddling kitties. Some people give cats a bad rep. When people ask "are you a cat or dog person?" it baffles me. I love both! All creatures great and small.

Kittaro loved me and was grateful for the food and water I provided. Enough said. ✌❤🇺🇸
For a cat food company, these uploads are really good quality and great content! I don’t even have a cat but I love learning about different worlds.
Thank You for your service. I am a Cat Momma. Just remember the rule, Dogs have owners and Cats have staff.
My question is how do you only have one 😂
Lol I know huh! If I had that farm, I would own tons of cats😆🙈
My grandma has a farm in Quebec land has a lot of kitties
I live on a farm and at one point had 32 kittens because we have 4 cat so..
Good question.
I once had 32 cats. Now I'm down to 3, there are 29 families whose lives have been enriched. My greatest joy was having 14 kittens bite claw and scratch me while I did my best to lay perfectly still. Cat therapy is something that cannot be described.
Animals are great judges of character. I never trust anyone who doesn't like animals.
@@FightingForFacts7074 eh, I dont know. I'm not really a squid/octopus fan lol. They creep me out. But in general I'd agree.
That is right!
Right 👍me too
Exactly
Here I am: the only animals I like are the ones I can wear or/& eat! 😄
Now feel free to not trust me! 😂
Thanks for this sharing of kind hearts of love of life and kitty. Makes the world a better place.
I got a great cat too. Living by myself most of the time my pet is very helpful in the midst of isolation.
A real man is a cat lover. There’s nothing sexier than seeing a man handling and loving cats. Some women love seeing men with babies being good dads, but for me it’s seeing men with cats ❤️ you are the true men.
This series is awesome!! Cats are awesome!!
Sheba is about the best UA-cam I’ve seen since quarantine. Thanks .
I bet she loves it so much there!! What a wonderful place. Bet you don't even need a litter box for her. She just goes to the door no worries!
What a brave cat
The dislikes are from people who don’t like cats
Anyone that dislikes any animals, are not good people.
@@cbhaessig Exactly.
@@cbhaessig No, you can dislike cats, that doesn’t make you a bad person.
They are from people who know this man inherited all that becuse the military doesn't pay you enough to buy a 1000 acre ranch with all those animals and equipment.
Or any animals, at all.😕
Btw yes cats are a huge blessing ....i was in a very dark place a few yrs ago just hating every single thing and i didn't and couldn't stand my self...These 2 are my comfort zone to its fullest even my breathing is more correct.Today im a whole lot better .
Thank you for your service and thanks so much for sharing, I'm 65 been around animals all my life. Have 4 cat's with me now all recused and I tell you THEY have recused me...
Absolutely! Im 70 with 2 beloved cats. Id had dogs all my life, these 2 kittys are Everything to me. Not just a "dog person" or "cat person" -- an animal person!!
Yes, they rescued me, and continue to every day...
This series Makes me appreciate my kitty so much more.
As I have said time and again. I love the horses, the dogs and Really love the cats. The way we treat ourselves is how we treat our Animals. Which is a good thing for All of us. The therapeutic value is not replaceable.
Thank you for your service by the way!
we love to see Army ROTC getting some love
What a wonderful man you are. For many reasons. It makes me happy that Izzy has this life with you and your family. 👏🇦🇺 You have much to be proud of. Thank You for your service.
"I was told that real men don't have anything to do with cats"- Jordan Waller
That's why Izzie chose you Because deep down she knew you were a cat guy...LMFAO
Two paws up and an even bigger MEOW! For this video.
Thank you for your service to our country!
Is Command Sergeant Major Izzy doing well?
You just made my day. Well said!
Alright another crazy cat man do! We love our girls / cats they truly enrich our lives we are blessed to be their servants😻😸thanks for sharing your story and Izzy🥰
I adore this! Respect to this man and his family....including Izzy of course! REAL MEN LOVE CATS
She’s a gorgeous kitty!
When I was being a volunteer after riots in some regions, my field friends were cats.. feels like they could understand my hardships..
Lol his wife's mom has a great set of questions
Thank you for your Service and for sharing your story. You have a Beautiful Family. I'm also a cat lover. 🐈🐈⬛🐱🦁💝
I'm so glad you made it home Sir. Thank you for serving our country and I'm glad Izzy helped your transition back to family life.
Thank You for this video and all of the others as well. I believe cats are Healers. 🐈🐈🐈
Dumpsters? I can’t bear it! It makes me ashamed to be half-Greek.
All the worries of the world melt away when cuddling a cat. They make the most soothing company. Cats are loving, affectionate and beautiful.
I watched that short animated intro overt and over..and over.
Its THE MOST ATTRACTIVE INTRO ever. The beautiful little one silhouette walks up and the lying soldier image and watched over him literally. Very nice ! the best.
You're life is amazing and blessed. Looks like heaven to me!
If I’m crying my cat will lay on my chest and pet my face with his paw it’s so sweet that I start crying more. 🥺🥺🥰🥰
Lovely cat and lovely family. Greetings from Brazil 🎉
🥰Aaww, it’s neat to see a soldier who has a soft spot in his heart for a kitty.
Love Cats and Dogs. They are both wonderful companions with different qualities.
Yes I love both :>
The one thing they have in common is that they love us, but not as much as we love them! Life is not complete without cats and dogs.
Love the story and love the cat
A Command Sergeant Major. Hahahahaha LOL LOL
Cats are *EXCELLENT* mental health counselors; they always have been, always will be.
Cats are awesome healing creatures, mine saved my life..great video
Such a beatiful cat...cats are so wonderful this guy is so lucky to be chosen by izzy...much love for izzy❤
My Maine Coone Callie would agree and appreciate everything you said, good sir. She helped me get out of a wheelchair after seven broken vertbrea. In my neck. Good kitty. Good kitty.
Awesome
Sounds like a great CAT - you are lucky!!
@@lymangreen5020 she is! I am!
See doc on a correctional institution in Colorado where male inmates rehab cats. Absolutely inspiring! Good on ye, inmates, for not thinking you're too much a dood to treasure cats!
Excellent- everyone should watch this video!
I can relate, having raised a cat on a cattle ranch in Oregon myself. The best place for a cat, Fang ruled the farm dogs.
Cats always rule the dogs. One correction, say a claw in the dog’s sensitive nose, and one reinforcement when the dog forgets himself, is all it ever takes! If only parents could be so efficient! Cat is the alpha mammal forever.
What a beautiful family including Izzy
👍
Every single day I have the privilege of having my beautiful fur children to love and cuddle. I completely understand how animals are so loyal and comforting. They never judge you or speak badly to you. Izzy is extremely blessed to have a family that loves her so much and definitely another extension of this family .
What a beautiful, precious creature. What a comforting companion. Thank you for your service, sir, and for loving that cat! 😻😻😻
I'm flattered. Mrow.
Such a genuine purr from that cat. She likes and I think trusts you.
Demetri got me through depression ❤️🙌🏽I miss him everyday!! He looked just like Izzy ❤️
Demetri is ur Angel 😇 now . Wants to see u happy. Go to a kill shelter and adopt a kitty 😻. Saving the kitty and ur life
Thank you for your service!! God bless you and your family !!
What a large space. Hope Sergeant Major stays safe and live long
Awesome! I love cats also! It makes sense to me this fellow growing up with a cat or cats and coming back from Iraq and having a cat be therapeutic and help him calm down from anger, possible PTSD… Wonderful!
Cats and dogs are really helpful for therapy for people like you and I . It help me alot
GRACIAS. THANK YOU. FOR YOUR SERVICE. GOD BLESS YOU AND FAMILY. AND YOUR KITTY CAT
"GIANT JUNGLE GYM"
yasss!!!! thats what we all want
and that would be just a neverland Heaven for a creature like cats!!
😅
What a great story!! Thank you for your service Sir! 🙏🇺🇸❤️
That cat has it made. I am glad for the kitty and for you. Enjoy each other's company.
This kitty has landed in kitty heaven. As it should be!
Great accurate questions Grandma has! I Loved that! 🙌🏻👍😻💖
I wish I could have a cat, but I’m absolutely allergic to cats really bad.
My dogs have all been light shedding dogs.
I’m happy you got help Sir and made it out mentally and physically.
Makes you a better husband and Dad.
I can tell Izzy is running the show, I can relate to your wife’s love of horses.
I’ve been riding since I was around 7 now I’m 60!
Happy trails to you all from Arizona 🌵
Izzy Looks Very Formidable as She is Beautiful...Cats Providing a Calming/Relaxing Atmosphere is Definitely True...Cats are Great Hunters and Have No Shortage of Self Confidence and Should be Admired & Respected...They are Also Eye Candy and Snug Bugs
Love this story,Animal sure get the HEARTS !❤🐾❤🐾❤🐾❤🐾❤🐾❤☘☘☘☘☘🇺🇸🐾🐾
Grew up off the farm with a string of dogs. Today after decades of kicking down doors retired now I have three companion cats. Little, Peanut amd Mother. I'm not a real civilian people person but I'm "ALL" cat person. 😼👍😉
Animals are made to be therapeutic in every way, and cats can teach you alot about yourself.. if you have the heart, eyes, and brain to learn.
Real men have nothing to prove to anyone God bless you your cat lover
A barn for a cat lounge. 😄 Yes cats do chose their humans. I ❤️ cats.
WONDERFUL story! Cats rule!🐺🐺🐱🐱😋😋💟💟
It's very manly to admit how and when he was wrong and recognized his neg behaviors and fixing thoes issues that takes courage when most will not admit, blame and walk away.
Cats and Iam sure other animals do give that peace to a chaotic spirit so to speak. Totally understood him.
