    The last line of Rakesh is the most heavily loaded with meaning(s): "is line me nhi dalnge, is line ne hami last honge bs" says a lot.

      There are millions of people in India who work hard and are talented but don't have money, many crooks in India get rich by exploiting good people, thugs become rich, cunning become rich, terrorists get rich, politicians get rich, smugglers get rich...that's India

    If it was prepared in the west, the guy who is doing hand churning would be charging more money than the chef in the restaurant who is creating texture just nitrogen charging.

    • @mdsr640
      @mdsr640 5 років тому +11

      Yep. Cuz the public in west is becoming more n more aware about the process of goods or food they buy and how it was prepared and type of skill involved.

      True that!
      People in the west pay for the skills you possess and are willing to shell out more for an organic process and hands on experiences like these.
      Ironically, here we pay for the ambience and name.

    A perfect example showing two sides of the coin perfectly sums up India as a country. There is everything for everyone here.
    Would love to see our street food vendors and other labourers like the electrician, plumbers etc get the same recognition and value if not more than an executive working in an MNC.
    A plumber in London charges 2000 INR to 3000 INR per hour while in Indian some actually make similar money for the whole month which is so so unfair.

    All the people hating the chef and feeling bad for Rakesh are the same people who will prefer to eat the chef version vs Rakesh’s cause its expensive and from a five star restaurant. The consumer is the reason Rakesh won’t continue this.

    Rakesh Kumar's last sentence broke my heart. This half a millennia old recipe and technique will die with him and others like him. We will be left with a modern twist of the dish made using modern techniques, machines and one day only the name will remain and our children will never get to taste the real thing.

    On the other hand you have a man putting in all his time and effort and creating an absolutely miraculous dessert with all its authenticity preserved and charging merely pennies for it
    Choose wisely

    The person making by Hand says he is the last in Line probably who is making this Art,The chef says he wants to continue this in restaurant as it makes good money.

    Let's just visit Rakesh ji and ensure his coming generations a safe future in this business and convenice him to continue and pass this tedious work to not just his kids but train more artisans, please, let's do it.
