He carried me all the way to the steps of the ring and gave me a pack of Grape Hubba Bubba; 3 pieces left. I felt like I was an Angel and I remember his win. Watching the match Tony had on purple tights and knee pads. The crowd whole gym chanting 1..2..3 as the referee hit the mat. It was incredible… Then the main attraction a young Ric Flair came out that locker room to his music playing. The girls was all over him. I literally wrapped myself around Ric Flairs thigh as a 3 year old boy. I’ve thought about that so many times. But this video takes me literally in my mind to that night. Jimmy Valiant, Black Jack Mulligan, The Great Kabuki and a few more. Female wrestler Diana Prince. OMG I remember how attractive she was the long dark hair, beautiful makeup. My my my I wish wrestling could be more like that again.

Back in the day, I remember him benching 500 lbs on Mid Atlantic Wrestling. I also remember Andre the Giant took off his ring and the ring was so large that Tony could put two of his fingers thru it.
Rest easy James "Kamala" Harris. I've listened to several interviews with him and he was such an humble man. He was in a wheelchair the last days of his life as he lost both legs to diabetes. It's amazing to see how different the man is from the ring persona.
Kamala was one of my favorites as a kid! I've seen him in some wars. The Von Erich's, Fabulous free birds, One man Gang, The Ice Man, Brick house Brown, Bruiser Brody, King Kong Bundy, The Gentleman Chris Adams, Junkyard Dog made wrestling worth watching..I miss those days..
I actually know tony, he doesn’t live far from me . He is a personal trainer and also works with handicapped kids. I spoken to him at the gym a lot he is a very smart man and he is still massive!!

Tony Atlas was the first wrestler I laid eyes on when I started to watch wrestling on tv. His physique just left me awestruck. I talked to Tony in Sept and spent about an hour talking to him about his powerlifting days and his time in pro wrestling.

I remember seeing my first one as a kid and I was incensed that my hero had the other guy beat, but by the time the ref was back, my hero had been attacked unfairly. Basic emotions come out. I believe the booing is real. This is a great setup for another big crowd to see Atlas vs. Duggin.

Tony Atlas came up in the Golden Era of Wrestling and laid the foundation for other Wrestlers that came after him to start making the millions of dollars! Tony Atlas was a true bad ass I remember my dad took myself and 2 of my friends to a wwf attraction at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit and he was on the card wrestling I don't know what happened but all I saw was him grabbing some guy in the stands and over half dozen cops trying to get him off the guy!! That incident made me wanna be a cop thanks Tony for a great 23 year career.

Ironically, it would be Hacksaw Jim Duggan who will chant “USA” on his arrival in WWE. Tony Atlas is a WWE Hall of Fame material.
I didn't realize Tiny Atlas was such a great artist as well until I watched the vid of him talking about the night Bruiser Brody was knifed by Jose Gonzalez. He had some of his portraits laud out on a table and Brody saw them and was impressed and he gave him a pic of his son and asked him if he would mind drawing it. Then, minutes later, he was stabbed by Gonzalez.
Tony was one of the first muscled-up wrestlers of that time. I'm told not all guys like him could hack it in the ring (many tried and failed). Most were not as athletic and/or had the cardiovascular systems to do 25-to-30min matches. Matches are much shorter these days and other wrestlers are more skilled in working around non-athletic big opponents.
It's not real athletic competition, that's why these guys can "wrestle" 60 mins. When these wrestlers go to MMA, that's when you see how poor cardio they really have as they suck wind the first 2 mins
