  • JBL 4349 in for testing! Never tried horns before so this was interesting! An incredibly cool experience and different from most other speakers that have visite my room.. This speaker is pure fun! They have immense speed, slam, dynamics and attack! Very energetic and lively, but at the same time very refined with good enough resolution for most people. Although it is a completely unique physical experience playing loudly with them, they sound great at low level listening too. But when you start cranking the volume it's just completely wild...😅.

Yes JBL spks are known for being perfect for this genre of music. Try listening to older JBLs like 4410, 4425, 4435 etc. they do dynamics & slam almost like no others.

Damn these bad boys sound phenomenal? Any listening fatigue with these? They sound very alive and engaging with the listener and the sustain on high hats and horns the note lingers as if you can see the vibration or vibrato wave coming out the speaker its insane. I guess i listen to music differently 🤷..

Thanks bud! Well they are not really fatiguing even though they have a lot of energy in the top end.. They have tone controls so you can decided how hot the top end should be. Depends on your room and front end gear.. They are very lovely and open sounding with a massive amount of dynamics and slam. Tactile response and speed.. A very interesting speaker with lots of headroom and fun factor!

@@audiolife5038 I've found the same to be true. With how much energy the top end has you would expect to get fatigue, but for me it almost never happens.

Why so stingy with the description of your system ? Could you live with the timbre these speakers produce long term?
