What a great trip! It is always interesting to travel to antique markets! I'm doubly interested as you showed me antique Halloween decor items. Here, this holiday is not traditional, it started to be celebrated only a few years ago, and therefore I have no chance to see such beautiful antique Halloween decorations here. I couldn't stop watching this video )). Of course, I can't help mentioning your gorgeous Halloween look, awesome dress, hat and amazingly cute spider web brooch. 😻
Glad you enjoyed it! I find it interesting to hear about other countries/cultures and how they adopt different holidays. Do they go trick or treating there? I'd be interested to hear how it's celebrated in Russia. Even how we as Americans have adapted the celebrations from the traditional Irish celebrations is interesting.
@@TheGlambassador No, we do not do any trick-or-treating )), we do not decorate houses and apartments. The celebration boils down to the fact that the clubs use special decor and arrange themed parties and that's it. Some schools and kindergartens can also arrange a themed event as another reason to please children. But before the revolution, we had such a tradition as going from house to house and asking for sweets, we did it before Christmas and it was called Kolyadovanie, but after the revolution we lost all these traditions.
Lovely outfit! I wish there would be shops like that and those huge car boot sales you are going to around here. While watching you video I kept on thinking "Who needs that stuff?.. Oh look, isn't THAT a nice piece" 😅
You said it right the first time...like strazburg :) There's a lot of good vintage in the area between Paradise and Columbia. Columbia has a TON of shops and Strasburg has a handful of others if you ever want to come back. Definitely more of a weekend trip, though
OMG those two little black Steiff kitties in the glass cabinet at the first store - I would have been a goner for those LOL. Thanks for taking us along on your vintage Halloween decor mission!
I remember when those holiday wall hangings that seem like they are just globs of plastic melted together in a shape were popular...I had completely forgotten that they were a thing until you showed some in this video.
What a beautiful drive! Although, the single car tunnel bridges give me a little bit of anxiety! 😄 Wow! They had some amazing items! I'm always amazed at how some of the vintage items seemed to border right between cute and really creepy!
A nice trip and nice to see the scenery! I love videos of antique markets from the UK or the USA because some of the things you find there are completely different than in Germany. Pyrex or head vases are not usually available in Germany and many other things are not either. There is so much more in your country that we don't have here in Europe/Germany because of World War II. I love especially head vases, but I always have to buy them abroad....And if they are already expensive even in your country, more costs are added for me because of customs etc.
This looks like an amazing antique mall. The original Halloween items are always so pricey. A few years back I did get a couple of repro items which will have to suffice. Thanks for another great road trip!
What a visual treat!!! And oh I'm so jealous that the American antique malls always have so much gorgeous vintage Pyrex!!! The nicer stuff is hard to find over here in the UK but I'm always on the lookout. Thanks for taking us along! 💕
Does your husband dress vintage also? I would love to see his wardrobe as well if he does! Thanks for the Halloween tour - my fave holiday, and definitely prefer scary!
Put down the light and pick up a book and learn at least to identify the glassware as what it is. Not some erroneous Google name. Like the vintage dress however it leads me to believe that you love and respect history.
Yaay! That was fun! Ooh... a good smorgasbord is a rare find these days. I'm sure it was deelish! Thanks for another great field trip! 🎃
I absolutely love vintage holiday decorations. It doesn't matter the season. They just bring back such good memories ❤ .
That's one of our favorite areas for camping. We need to plan a trip up there for some shopping!!
You should! It was a great antique mall, though the prices for some things were a bit outrageous.
Dear Christine, Thanks for this video, I love it! Your dress is so beautiful and suits you very well!
Matilda.
Thank you so much!
So many beautiful things!

Curious to know more about this Kolyadovanie what does it entail?

As a Pennsylvanian, I love visiting Strasburg and Lancaster. Make sure you ride the Strasburg railroad train if you haven’t. It’s a lot of fun!
We drove by the railroad and the museum but didn't have time to go to it. We'll make another trip up to check it out.
I was just there 2 weeks ago.. so many wonderful things!

I loved this video. I enjoy driving through that part of Pennsylvania. It’s so idyllic and full of history. Thanks for sharing!
Love love your dress! It looked gorgeous on you, where did you get that? 😍 What an amazing store, so many cool things. Thanks for the video xo
Thank you! My dress was from eShakti.

Oh my goodness Christine the glassware is to die for! I bet you had a great time looking at all the lovely treasures! Much love to you! ❤️

My pleasure, I'm glad you enjoyed it.
You take me to the comfort of my childhood ( I'm 72, don't tell anybody ok?) ❤
Your secret is safe with me 🤐. I'm 48, but it's ok you can tell people 😘
Loved the Halloween nutcrackers 🥰
Aren't they adorable? What a cute idea.
I LOVE HALLOWEEN WHAT A LOVELY DRIVE I LIKE THAT BEST
So so fun!!!

I love covered bridges, they are so quaint and cute to me, they remind me of Beetlejuice.
@@TheGlambassador They remind me of Beetlejuice, too...and Sleepy Hollow! 😄
Oh, how I love the decor! I can’t wait to get started on decorating! It’s never too early 😊

We do have a lot of different items in the US. I miss the flohmarkts in Germany too, there are things there that you don't find much here.

What a beautiful drive! Reminds me of home
It really is such a beautiful drive, especially in the fall.
I really enjoyed the ride thru the country. The store was very interesting. Thank you!
Nice video. I love vintage Halloween too!
Does your husband dress vintage also? I would love to see his wardrobe as well if he does! Thanks for the Halloween tour - my fave holiday, and definitely prefer scary!
He does on the weekends and for events. He’s a behind the camera kinda guy, I honor his wishes to not appear on camera.
I was just there in may !
😊
PRICES????????????? Why show antique Halloween decor, and NO PRICES!!!

Thanks for the condescending comment. 🙄
Moo.
Is this a lame attempt at calling me a cow?????
This store must be new,,it wasnt there when i used to go to strausburg! Damn !
I believe it's been there sine 2016.
@@TheGlambassador oooh dang...I left the area in 2000....I would have really enjoyed that store...damn...!
