O nai Pa jee we all love Punjabi song all over Pakistan. I’m a urdu speaking Living in Karachi. Punjabi is one of the sweet language of my country.
I think because Punjabi speakers are a majority in Pakistan, there isnt a similar imperative to protect and promote Punjabi language and culture as there is in India, where Punjabi speakers are a relative minority. Punjubiness in Pakistan is taken for granted, as there is no threat of it being diluted or erased. It is alive and thriving throughout Pakistan Punjab, with numerous varieties and dialects.
Sikhs are minority, not punjabi speakers as there are soo many.. different cultures in the sub-continent.

Punjabi is spoken in most of Pakistan and if not spoken people understand it, our prime time TV programs are punjabi, music is punjabi 20 to 30% so we love Punjabi, it's not a sign of someone being ignorant or backwards it's a mother toung of most and we adore it.

Karachities and islamabdis are mostly urdu speaking, kpk is pashtun, while punjab is biggest provincr among all and is majority punjabi speaking. We arr proud of all our languages.

Islamabad has most Punjab origin settlers as capital is situated in Punjab geographically. Speaking urdu and being an urdu speaking are two different things. Urdu speaking are those who are migrated from india. While others speak urdu as their national language but their mother tongues are different.

@@usamax007 it's not like that I m hindko but I don't feel shame in my language rather all my family members loves to converse in Hinko. I can speak all kind of panjabi languages, pahari and pushtoo. Narrow minded people hv this issue of feel shame for Punjabi language

I was going to talk about how Punjab & Punjabi is important to Pakistan. And why wouldn’t it be? When Indo-Pak was divided, Punjabi was also divided into two parts two and Pakistan received a major part. Pakistani Punjabis LOVE their language and in fact, Punjabi is so widely spoken in Pakistan that it’s as well understood as our National language, Urdu. So no, Pakistani Punjabis are PROUD of their language and widely speak it. Karachi and Islamabad are not part of Punjab btw.

The majority ethnic group in Pakistan are Punjabi then Pashtun btw so people shouldn't be surprised by coke studio making more songs or remaking songs in Punjabi. Urdu speakers/Mohajers are a minority group. Urdu has been adopted by most Pakistanis its not the majority's native tongue.

Sir actually it's a difference of province Islamabad (KPK) and Karachi (sindhi) they speak their provincial languages while conversing out of town they choose Urdu cause they don't know Punjabi but in province Punjab specially (Lahore/Gujranwala) we don't feel embarrassed speaking it tho

I want to correct to your opinion about pakistani language, as you know pakistan national language is urdu. But 45% population of pakistan are living in punjab and punjab language doesn’t only speak in india as well as also speaken in pakistan i think more than india
