There are videos on here of Wilt where he literally does free throw line pull ups just like KD, only this was 60 years ago. I like this comparison. Specifically with the upward trend in embiids assist numbers, those maxey triples are worth the exact same amount of points as the threes generated by Curry's "gravity". Both dominated and didn't play a ton of minutes, and ultimately both possess generational talent being unleashed by good coaching to the point that the things they both excel at have become so efficient they're effectively "unstoppable".

I agree that Embiid is one of the best offensively. But, Wilt was a more an all rounder. Towards the end of career, he became more defensively minded, grabbing rebounds, distributing to teammates, and was a great blocker(which we will never know). He still averaged twenty points during the time.
Why he never got more cross match opportunities like 3:35 I may know but at least Nurse has him tapped in. Or him just taking the ball up the court on a defensive rebound to start the play or go full head of steam at the basket to score. Hopefully this does show up in the postseason for him.
Only 50sec but these comparisons feels nonsense at this point, it's basically comparing 2 entirely different games. Do an adequate scientific test and put both on same conditions and we can know.
what makes people gush over jokic isnt his scoring (i mean he's a great scorer still but it's his efficient scoring combined with his passing), i dont think anybody has ever called him an all time great scorer. that said i think people arent talking about jokic because hes pretty arguably been worse on the year than he was last year, if not about static, embiid is literally doing something now scoring wise not seen since wilt. There's nothing wrong with recognizing that
Idk if Embiid’s team will be able to defeat Giannis’s since Brook Lopez tends to give Embiid problems, especially since Giannis also rotates over as an additional rim protector.
Yeah he tends to be inconsistent against both the bucks and celtics. Last year against the cletics he scored 40 and 50 in different games against them but then got completely owned in other games, same thing with the bucks, he's capable of having a big game but will be fairly contained in the next. Interestingly a somewhat similar dynamic is true of giannis vs the sixers though, i could see them basically cancelling each other out in a playoff series
It’s isn’t that every foul he gets isn’t a foul, it’s that most big men have to be absolutely clobbered to get a foul and Embiid gets a whistle like Trae or Harden at their peaks. Embiid is good we all know this. But I can't take him as seriously as the absolute uppest of echelons ie Jokic Giannis Lebron Curry with his playoffs history Let's see if Nick Nurse can change that
Yes! Embiid Averages 21.7 Shots A Game & Is Making 11.6 Of Them @ A 53.4%. Out Of This, He Makes 10.4 Out Of 18.4 Of His 2PT Attempts (56.5%) & 1.1 Out Of 3.3 Of His 3PT Attempts (33.8%). So, His PPG Would Be @ 24.3, Which Would Put Him STILL Top 8. If You Let Everyone Else Keep Their FTM Per Game 😂😂😂, Embiid Is STILL A Top Scorer In The Association 🤔!
PPG undersells the gap though in terms of their per game production. KD averaged 36.7 mpg throughout his career, embiid 31.9. It also doesnt control for pace, not sure which player's teams has played at a higher pace throughout their career but if you play at a higher pace you'll have more chances to score. Per 100 possessions for embiid's career he is averaging 42.1 points, that average is higher than KD's single season high (41.8 in 2013). For kd's career he is averaging 37.2 points per 100 possessions. Side note but durant's 2nd best year in points per 100 is 41.6 which is actually this year! Which is kind of wild given he is 35 lol. I feel like kd's season is being a bit underdiscussed, his numbers (31/6/6 on 63 ts%) is obviously great in any context but doing it as a 35 year old who had an achilles tear in his early 30s is pretty mind blowing

Hey Coach, speaking of Wilt, could you please make a video detailing just how skillful he was with the patented fadeaway and finger roll. There is this misconception that all Wilt did was play like Shaq, even though if Wilt ever thought to post up with that intensity, he would be called for an offensive foul every time. There are videos on here of Wilt where he literally does free throw line pull ups just like KD, only this was 60 years ago. Would love to see your take on the Big Dipper’s scoring prowess and how he would fare in today’s game.
Bro he literally never did free throw like pull ups except for maybe once or twice. His signature fadeaway was his most skillful move and it barely was because defenders rarely could contest it because he was bigger than 90% of centers. There’s a reason his stats dipped when playing against a good defensive big man in bill Russel.
@@peewee0224 damn why you hatin man I just wanted to see Coach Nick make a video solely about Wilt. Maybe he could even explain why his stats took a tremendous dip in the playoffs, but you came up in here with all that bs

I could be reaching but it’s similar to Steph’s 2015 mvp then 2016 mvp. Was way more on ball/in isolation in the first mvp, then he started utilizing off ball plays a lot more to get to his shots; catapulting his level of play.

Wilt played every minute.
1:07 Embiid getting the biggest bang for your buck out from an NBA fine.
Emblid 34.2 😅 vs Chamberlain owns the top four single-season scoring averages in league history, including his NBA-record 50.4 points per game mark in 1961-62 (the other three coming, in descending order, during the 1962-63 [44.8 points per game], 1960-61 [38.3], and 1959-60 [37.6] seasons).
I agree that Embiid is one of the best offensively. But, Wilt was a more an all rounder. Towards the end of career, he became more defensively minded, grabbing rebounds, distributing to teammates, and was a great blocker(which we will never know). He still averaged twenty points during the time.
@yaswanthgosukonda311 also led the league in assist, still the only center to do that.
@yaswanthgosukonda311 💯 this clown coach nick is click bait. No context
To be fair, Wilt was built like Embiid in an era when there were only a handful of 7-footers who weren't on his level as an athlete.
He played in an era with most of the players smoking cigarettes after their 9-5 job at the mill. Stats from the 50s and 60s are meaningless.
He’s a great individual player, but Big Al is still his dad!
I’ll take the Joker over the Choker any time
Been watching you for almost a decade. Always top quality! Just stopping by to thanks!
Why he never got more cross match opportunities like 3:35 I may know but at least Nurse has him tapped in. Or him just taking the ball up the court on a defensive rebound to start the play or go full head of steam at the basket to score. Hopefully this does show up in the postseason for him.
No one heard that beautiful poetry in the beginning??😂😂 he was spitting
He's not even the best player in NBA right now, there is at least 2 guys better then him.
Only 50sec but these comparisons feels nonsense at this point, it's basically comparing 2 entirely different games. Do an adequate scientific test and put both on same conditions and we can know.

Crazy how we saying this about Jokic a few months ago, but nah talking about Jokic ain’t profitable anymore…
Nobody was ever calling Jokic a top scorer ever
what makes people gush over jokic isnt his scoring (i mean he's a great scorer still but it's his efficient scoring combined with his passing), i dont think anybody has ever called him an all time great scorer. that said i think people arent talking about jokic because hes pretty arguably been worse on the year than he was last year, if not about static, embiid is literally doing something now scoring wise not seen since wilt. There's nothing wrong with recognizing that
In 2023 apparently everyone is considered the greatest scorer ever lol. Jordan, Kobe, Durant, Harden, LeBron, Embiid… but there can only be one
I’m here for the conversation. You in?
it’s sad that people don’t realize how truly good embiid is
As much as ppl rave about jojos offense, his defense under the rim is pretty darn efficient too
Embiid vs Jokic in the FInals? Dreamy.
It’s isn’t that every foul he gets isn’t a foul, it’s that most big men have to be absolutely clobbered to get a foul and Embiid gets a whistle like Trae or Harden at their peaks. It’s so frustrating, the NBA needs to stop rewarding that kind of offence. Defence has been made so difficult that the only tool some players have is undercutting players trying to draw charges which is awful for the game and results in injuries.
Embiid is in the ‘do it in the playoffs’ side of his story
When you don’t get the calls, what will you be embiid?
Do what in the playoffs?
He's averaging 9 free throws per game in the playoffs for his career and 10 in the regular season, hardly a change there@@doubleAgent_003

Kevin Durant averaging 27.3ppg for 15yrs with 4x scoring titles (compared to Embiid's 27.6ppg average in his 7yrs): 😐
