Great video Im planning on converting my AMEX gold card points into Avios and this video really helped in making my decision weather to go with the blue or black card :)
My only criticism would be that by using a card over cash is that on average you spend 15% more when using a credit card…you remove the emotion out of the transaction (it doesn’t feel like real money). The second criticism being Avios point flights only seem to offer the most obnoxious flight patterns and flight times known to man with exceptionally long lay overs. We found using the points to upgrade on existing tickets was a much better use of the points. Love your videos 🙂

It's for this same reason too that when people buy cars on Finance, they spend far more than if they paid cash for it. Good point. Also, great point about flight patterns. If your credit limit is quite low as a new immigrant, can you still make huge purchases on the card without hurting your credit score (say i want to get some furniture and other things and I have the cash handy, can I pay with the card even though it’s way above my limit and repay later without a negative impact on my credit score or do I link my debit card and pay with it to get the points)

I planned to get one at the end of the year it’s a shame the blue one no longer does business class. I’ve never really liked the idea of paying for bank accounts and credit cards.
I hear you 💯. But do what works for you. We've just upgraded our Blue one to the Premium grey one just 'cos we see value in doing that for our situation. But yes, it's a real shame that the Blue one no longer does Business Class.
Love the 2-4-1 voucher from Amex. Unfortunately combining vouchers that are issued after 1st September is no longer possible. The voucher holder had to fly and only one voucher can be used. As you and Mary have a voucher each, I see how it would still work for sure, both take a child and you are all good :-)
I take it you have to book on 2 accounts with kids allocated to each voucher and hop that once on is confirmed the other one goes through, or if you have a household account, can you book both vouchers at the same time given each voucher is from 2 executive accounts ?
