This recording was done in 2002 at the University of Miami. The days before I had broken 2 ribs, so if you notice I am a little bit stiff in my movements.
I remember your performance in Grožnjan, Croatia, after a week-long workshop with students, you were among the team of teachers there, along with Igor Lešnik, Dobri Paliev and others. At the end of the student's concert you came on the stage and played one solo marimba piece and I can assure you I will remember that for the rest of my life, it was pure magic, from then on I fell in love with the sound of marimba. I was in my late teens or early twenties then...
If I'm not mistaken, this was the very first four mallet solo I learned. From there, I would learn many of your marimba and vibraphone solos during my time in high school. Your melodies always stood out from other solos and they were always challenging. At a PASIC convention many many years ago (2007ish), I saw you just walking the hall like an average guy and got a picture with you and it was like meeting an idol. You were just walking the halls and may not have realized how much it meant to me that I got that picture with you. Anyway, I was reminiscing on the past and wanted to hear some of the melodies I once learned. Thank you for being a part of my musical development.

Thank you very much master...
Great to see the author of the piece himself performing this masterpeace! Is there anywhere where i can buy the sheet music?
