In most circumstances of body shaming or racism or sexism, I would completely disagree, if there’s an issue, you need to speak out about it, but for this, it’s not even body shaming so I agree.

I was so sad that Insatiable is incomplete :( It's my favorite American series ever. I first saw the trailer of Insatiable in 2018, but I have no Netflix at that time. I only had access to it a month ago, and the first thing I watched was Insatiable. I completed it in 1 and a quarter day (because I still need to sleep lol).
Girl is bullied for being overweight and then accident causes her jaw to be wired shut. She then sets out for revenge to come to realize she still feels empty. Because even though, you lose weight skinny doesn't equal happiness. Or even that you will feel instantly comfortable in your skin. The message of this show is literally what I went through. Lost the weight to still not feel beautiful in my body. You need to love yourself in all your forms despite the bullying or what you view as the perfect body. No matter your size loving yourself can take you far. This show had a good message, just wish more people would've watched instead of assuming.

You may think that I am just an attention seeker but sometimes I feel insecure wearing shirts that show my arms because I feel it makes my arms look weird. I think it’s more about the fat suit and the skinny praise type of thing that is the problem. The way weight is talked about is so damaging for so many people. They act as if being fat is the worst thing that could ever happen to them. I was fat, and then I lost weight. I was looked at in a different way, sure, but I felt inside like I was still just as fat as before. Even though I was tiny and people said I looked amazing. There was no fabulous evolution, only self hatred. That’s what happens to a lot of people.

its been over 15 since i was bullied in school for my weight, and i still wish i could travel back in time skinny, confident and witty and get revenge on them all, this show is not about fat shaming, quite the opposite, its speaks to our anger of bullying and gives us a release, that at least on tv, we get to see revenge and take some comfort in it

Not everyone. Some people take pride in it, for some people being fat is genetic and they can’t get rid of that extra weight. It’s what I’ve heard from fat people who don’t want this show be aired because it makes it seem disrespectful.

I think it’s more about the fat suit and the skinny praise type of thing that is the problem. The way weight is talked about is so damaging for so many people. They act as if being fat is the worst thing that could ever happen to them. I was fat, and then I lost weight. I was looked at in a different way, sure, but I felt inside like I was still just as fat as before. Even though I was tiny and people said I looked amazing. There was no fabulous evolution, only self hatred. That’s what happens to a lot of people.
This series seems like a good show to watch on a lazy Sunday. If you’re too sensitive then don’t watch it. SIMPLE! Why not go sign the petition to end the Lychee and Dog Meat Festival ..
