I'm a gator fan however I'll admit some Florida scores were inflated. E.g Danie Feris' vault is no 9.9
And LSU was underscored on bars.
But then again, that's been the pattern of home scoring in the sec this season: overscore the home team, under score the visiting team.

Let me Just say one more thing I think jenny rolling and Jay clark are the best coaches in the NCA! They are both so passionate & really care about their athletes & it shows. They know how to manage their gymnasts to minimize wear n tear & injuries @ the same time as putting up consistently good lineups. The team morale & comraderie is so high. They are also very fair in giving many gymnasts spots in competition.

I'd have to disagree on the injury thing with Jay Clark. He had 4 gymnasts out last year with major injuries and already has two out this year with season ending injuries. The year before he had several gymnasts down with injuries as well. Every team will have some, but when a team consistently has multiple major and or season ending injuries year after year, especially on multiple athletes (not just re-injuring) I start to wonder.

Super disappointed at Annie Beard & Finnegans beam but other than that FINALLY LSU PUT TOGETHER A GOOD AWAY MEET! I’m thinking there might need to be a change in the beam coaching. Absolutely love ashley gnat but idk beam has seemed to be our kryptonite the last couple of seasons something’s gotta change. And bar’s definitely could’ve been improved for sure but we’ll still stay in the number 2 spot. We need to get beat and bars on lock then we’ll be able to compete with OU for sure!

LSU showed grit- they had a fumble? That’s okay, let’s move on. Loved to see the girls rally. I think that floor lineup is what it needs to stay for the rest of the season- I love Ballard but she doesn’t always get 9.9+ and I think Konnor is more capable scoring wise of giving them momentum. Alexis or Elena (is she injured?) need to be back in the beam lineup to help momentum! Hope Payton is okay and beautiful routines from Leanne (love Victoria but this wasn’t her night and she was a tad overscored on beam in my opinion) and Sloane on floor

It’s not the steps that made the rotation egregiously overscored. It’s the quality of the vaults- several of them going 9.9 for under rotation, lack of direction, lack of amplitude etc. LSU had the better vault rotation - Leanne going 9.95 for a vault with a large hop and chest down? Dani going 9.9 for an underrated vault with a hop backwards…
Also…the bars scores were wack. Saying that Ellie was only .25 less than Konnor?! What world are we living in? LSU struggled on a few landings for bars- but the internal parts of the routines were miles better than the short handstands and repeated skills from Florida.
I’m sorry, I think Florida had a good meet. But LSU was the better team. LSU obviously has their share of over scoring at home. However, even when they are are over-scored- they still deserve the win. That was not the case in this match up at all.

@@jaclynbates7117 I never said one thing about LSU not receiving any gifts. The *amount* of gifts Florida received was the problem. I'm a fan of both teams- But...overall LSU had the better performance. The first rotation was egregious in scoring. Bars for florida should have been scored significantly lower than it was especially in comparison to the internal part of the routines for LSU. Wayyy too many short handstands, and form deductions for Florida to be scoring similary to where LSU was. I thought florida did well on beam and scoring wise, there were some gifts but nothing too crazy. When Florida got to floor- the scores just went crazy. Saying the first two Athletes on floor, were better than Konnor on floor....is really? And correct, the beam rotation for LSU was not their best-- but LSU had no major mistakes anywhere other than the routine from Beard. Regardless, the win/loss doesn't really matter. LSU will stay firmly in 2nd in the National Rankings, and Florida can't count their score in their NQS. SO ultimately, it doesn't matter. It's just the principal that is frustrating.

I don't think its a good look for the sport when the most famous college gymnast on the planet isn't good enough to compete in a event. I mean a lot of female athletes are famous for their looks but at least they were good enough at minimum to be on the court or field and not be on the bench.

This is the the 3rd time this Season Jay's had her on the Bench & she also Competes on just the Floor & has again, the Lowest Score. Sorry she's the Worst on the Team & 75-85% of all the Female Collegiate Gymnasts are Better than her in every way & Yet she gets paid Millions For Literally being a Pro Selfie TAKER & a Sideline Cheerleader.

im going to say this once and dont bother aruging with me because it wont change my mind. It doesn't matter if LSU gets overscored at home. it doesnt make it okay for them to be under scored. just like it isnt okay for the away teams AT LSU to be under scored. the difference is that they still deserve the win when they've been at home this year. LSU was 10000% the better team that night, but florida judges didn't allow that to happen. obviously im happy that they got a great road score, but this loss cost them the regular season title.
you CAN NOT tell me florida's vault rotation with ZERO sticks = 49.6 when LSU had a 49.550 with 2 sticks. an under rotation CAN NOT go 9.9. thats mathematically impossible if they take the correct deductions. how many times do we hear commentators say that under rotation is a bigger deduction than over rotating?? if they under rotate, then there was clearly something else wrong with the vault. not just the step back.
you also can not tell me that konnor and kiya with PERFECT routines (up until the dismount) was only a 9.825 and then florida gymnasts with big breaks and repeating skills only got 0.025 lower. once again, mathematically impossible if the correct deductions are and are not taken.
and big woop, aleah's 9.8 beam routine was "too high" blah blah blah. she needed a damn 10 to even TIE it anyway so at that point it didn't matter. especially because that's the only routine i see ANYONE complain on the LSU side of over scoring this time around.
no, their beam rotation wasn't great, but their vault and bars were far too low. lsu was better PERIOD. END OF STORY.
