I want the next NASCAR game to a more in-depth career mode. One thing I’ll give the Heat games credit for was that if you wanted, you could start up your own team immediately and do a true rags to riches story. I know this is highly unlikely, but my ideal career mode for a NASCAR game would be you start off as a local racer, either dirt or super late models, get discovered by an ARCA team, do a part-time season with them at first, get the option to go full-time or explore other options, and so on. You would truly work your way up the NASCAR ladder and even form friendships and rivalries with other drivers who would go up to Cup with you. Yes, I think NASCAR games should have driver retirements. But that’s not even the end of it, no! You get the option to sign a developmental deal with a manufacture of your choosing, and eventually if you ever do start a team, you get to sign drivers to race for you!
Thunder was the closest to that, along with Dirt to Daytona
EXACTLY what I've been saying for years! And I'd love if they included multiple generations of cars. Not just the gen 7!
It'd be really cool to have a mix of NASCAR Thunder 2004 career mode mixed with a Dirt to Daytona type ordeal where you're going from the ground up, but in your own built machines if so desired
I agree. Just look at what 2k does with their career mode. Not saying they will go to 2k, but I would really like a career familiar if not better than Thunder and Dirt to Daytona
How about at the true bottom of the ticket? Racing four-cylinders or sth. Chevy Cavaliers, Saturns, Escort ZX2s, that sort of thing
I think Monster Games would be the most likely especially after the success of their World of Outlaws game and their relationship with IRacing
Yeah, but then there wouldn’t be a PC version. The WoO game isn’t on PC because iRacing thinks it would cannibalize their subscriber base.
@@Trainlover1995 im not convinced people are going to leave a true sim for a arcade game. maybe some but def not a number that would hurt iRacing users.
@@Trainlover1995yes. Arcade Racing Game in 2020s turned out to be a bad idea.
I usual don't check in on these nascar videos but this one caught my eye. I'm liking this one.
NO ! There would be no PC version and it would be Nascar Heat 6, terrible if Monster Games got the NR license.
I still remember how suspicious everyone was of Motorsport Games when the release date kept inching closer and closer and all they were putting out were vague screenshots with no video of cars on track. So many people thought the AI was gonna be garbage, and they were right. Here we are years later. Still waiting for a decent game. And we might have many more years to wait. :(
No doubt. Motorsport Games seemingly awful on making Nascar games.
I'd love to see Codemasters get the license just like they acquired the WRC license.
And Codemasters is doing nothing with that license currently...
@@Pabig93yeah they are they a re releasing a wrc game
No No
While it'd be best for Codemasters/EA to get the license back... they'd end up adding some stupid cosmetics and make it the focus of the game lol
Codemasters is EA.....
Nascar just needs to keep the license open (within reason). Competition is key.
Yes. Same goes to NFL 2000s.
EA: Oh i see a way of making MONEY
Ea Guy 1: Why dont we put schemes on the battle pass?
Ea Guy 2: Brilliant
I want a game that has caution replays like the older games like nascar the game 2013 and ai blowovers. And of course, a great game with amazing features and great ai racing
Deep down in my heart I felt so satisfied by this decision from Nascar, I really hope we can have a game but not only a game, one that we can remember as a good one deep down in our generation, from the latino community the only thing that we can say is thank you, for us is really hard (for money reasons) to get in iracing and ignition 21 was a hope that something good can be coming but as time goes by we see how all ended, to all of you guys to each and every single one of you, thank you for raising your voices and represent all of us without you this wouldn't happen.
If NASCAR helped fund a SIM game via the guys who make BeamNG Drive they would have an instant winner on their hands.
Their soft physics engine coupled with that company's focus on making a pure SIM experience would be a match made in heaven.
WE SMOKING THAT MSG PACK TONIGHT! Now hopefully, we get a good console game in the future.
If it's not on Nintendo, it's not a good console game
@@S.K.R.E.Inc.
Your joking....Right?
@@S.K.R.E.Inc.That doesn’t make sense Nintendo will never make a NASCAR game because Nintendo doesn’t own NASCAR and doesn’t have the rights to do it and plus even if Nintendo made a NASCAR Video Game it would be super bad and cartoony probably
I think it would be really cool if Reiza Studios could at least get a NASCAR Brazil Series license if not a full license. Automobilista 2 is one of the most enjoyable sims on the market and their physics are getting better all the time.
It's a good ideia like Indy too (the oficial Indy)
I wonder if NASCAR will do a license deal with iRacing while a new game is developed. It won't help the console market but at least something will be out there for gamers while they figure out what comes next.
Nascar already has a deal with iRacing since a veryyyyy long time now
@@romainrateltv8640Basically since 1994 when they developed Nascar Racing lol
If 2K did make a NASCAR Game, I would see some quality life changes like Driver transfers, Driver stats, injurys if it's a serious crash, drivers retiring, make your own team with your own drivers, being able to swap drivers and team orders (Like Nascar 06) and have every car generation.
The 3 modes I would see is MyDriver it's basically an in-depth Career mode. (Press conference, interviews before/after the race, new cutscenes of your driver walking back to the hauler and new cutscenes in victory lane)
MyAssociation will allow you to manage any team (like SHR, WBR or all of the teams) or import any team that you created and managed anything like Driver lineup, training, upgrading the car, scouting drivers etc. You could even make your own seasons dating back to the 90s and early 2000s. Or you could sim through the whole season and see what the Ai will do (that idea is from NBA 2K sims)
Last but not least MyTeam, how it would work is you have 4 drivers and so does your rival (who'll be highlighted in red) and your task is to finish the race higher than your opponent in an amount of laps (Pick either 5,10, 15 etc.). In this mode, you can collect drivers (like Dale Earnhardt, Richard Petty, Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon etc.) With there own rarity, era/year. I'm unsure if I should make cars collectibles so you decide.
That's about all my brain could take. If you're reading this, have a good day
I hope IndyCar follows Nascar's decision!
They never even got a game out of it
@@extragoogleaccount6061apparently there almost done the game
@@extragoogleaccount6061believe it or not Motorsport Games has been focusing on a Indycar game which is why we didn't get a new NASCAR game at all all their resources have been put into said Indycar game which might end up being bad like Ignition
I really miss how nascar 14 played. Was super fun. If we had something similar with updated graphics and adding trucks/ xfinity with current rosters. Would be perfect in my opinion
I’m so ready for Monster Games to get the NASCAR gaming license.
It only will be good if IRacing tag teams
I want every single NASCAR game to appear on Nintendo at this point. For too long it has gotten the short end of the stick
@@jeremiahkennisonjr6533iracing bought out monster games so if we do have monster make a nascar game, iracing will be helping for sure
@@S.K.R.E.Inc.yeah we need more games on the switch
NASCAR gaming has a special place in my heart. The first memory that I have of life is playing Chase For The Cup on the Gamecube.
depending on when the contract was canceled, a new game is probably 3-4 years away. it takes a lot of time to build a modern game, especially from scratch. that's another big thing, in the era of Thunder, PS2 games were much cheaper to make, so they took a lot less investment.
Nah, this is a sports game. All the assets exist in real life, there's no stories or narratives to create either, this shouldn't take more than 2 years with the right developer
@@MartyTuro There's a reason you don't see many ground up sports games anymore. They're not any easier to make than other games, and most of the series left are already established titles which are able to iterate changes each year.
The tracks and such already existing in real life only helps so much, they still have to model them all and recreate them in game, which can be harder than making a fictional track. They also have to create new physics engines and everything else. Forza is a good example of attempting to make a ground up racing game, with the newest Forza Turn 10 wanted to essentially recreate the game from the ground up and it has taken a while. And in terms of sports stuff, EAs NCAA game keeps getting delayed by years because all of the old work on the old NCAA game is essentially useless and everything needs to be redone.
I would love for an option of "limiting tires"... per the race percentage and wear percentage
Imagine they go and announce a full iRacing collab with an offical series and official iRacing version of the next-gen car. As well as the cup series
The Thunder series had something else going for it that I feel like a lot of people don't think about. Those games came out before DLC was a thing so devs released complete games at launch. I could put NASCAR Thunder 2004 in my PS2 right now and it would be the same game today that it was on September 16th, 2003. I'm not a software engineer by any means but I would imagine it's much easier to fix bugs in a project while you're still working on it in-house rather than launching it and trying to fix it later remotely with downloadable patches. It may make me sound a little old but no one releases a complete game anymore.
They don’t anymore because a lot of them are trying to play the micro transactions game. They want you to pay for the extras.
I don’t necessarily mind that on console. On PC though I would rather have the ability to create and add stuff. Basically like what we can do with NR2003.
Yeah, EA on 2023 is not a great idea
Alan Bailey revealed the Sept 30th bombshell today actually that should be a good follow up video.
NASCAR Arcade looks like an ok stopgap for the meantime
If iRacing and Monster Games can partner on a project, I hope they could push something out within two years. I’m don’t know anything about being a developer, but I hope iRacing’s massive base of NASCAR assets can speed up development.
Finally. The dark times are over. Bring in Monster and iRacing!
Nintendo should get exclusivity
iRacing would prefer selling it to you 500$ and subscription
@@S.K.R.E.Inc.that would kill nascar gaming, they Will give the license to Monster game to do smth similar to world of outlaws and maybe get soem company for Nintendo switch ports
We need to petition Turn 10 to take a wack at the nascar licensing. They always do a great job with the nascar car models and tracks.
All I want is to run a Multicar team with real drivers as teammates
FOR REAL! I have wanted this for ages! Only the EA games came close to this with fake drivers in 05’ for me
I've wanted an Owner mode where you can hire all real drivers and then each race you can choose to drive as any of your drivers. I also want a "super sim" engine where you can hop in and out of a race whenever you want. This would be ideal for wanting to run full race lengths without actually having to race the whole thing.
They should make a game that includes older cars where you could do a full race in cars from the 90s or 80s. That would be a great feature imo. Like a throwback field. And a season mode of throwbacks would be awesome too
Turn 10 Studios: "This is my chance to prove myself!"
Agreed 100%!
Forza Motorsport has had NASCAR in it before, yet, Forza Motorsport needs that Official NASCAR Season!
I think NASCAR Should have their own Video Game Department where they can hire their own employees and make it as accurate as possible.
Same
Same too for me.
NASCAR cant even get their own sport done correctly, you really think starting up a grassroots video game production company is a good idea?
Oh. Child, no.
That's like asking the team owners to drive their own car, idk who it is, they'd shit the bed.
Leave it to the pros, just gotta pick the right pros.
I hope more than one developer gives NASCAR a go. With at least two NASCAR games released in the same year.
we smoking the MSG pack TONIGHT!! 🚬
RIP BOZO 💨💨💨😤😤😤
I just wish IndyCar would tell Motorsports Games to pound sand, but IndyCar seems to be stubborn. I wish IndyCar's marketing team was better as well.
I think a good NASCAR game where you could play something like Thunder 2004 but during all eras of the sport on all kinds of tracks would be really really cool, and a great way to show young audiences what NASCAR is all about.
If NASCAR was not as oblivious as you think and knew they were getting out on the contract one way or another, why not contact developers ahead of time and get the ball going knowing what is about to happen. Could get a game sooner than later. Could we be sitting on a game well into development already just waiting for the brand to become free? I am no expert. Asking because I'm curious.
Imagine Darian jinxed us and Motorsport actually makes the next game anyway
Hopefully this means the NASCAR Heat series could continue and hopefully build off the NH4 or NH5. I know NASCAR could go higher, but I think that might blow up in their face. That is unless they don't go for an exclusivity deal this time.
Now Madden needs to do the same with their NFL license.
NASCAR is not the only series being held hostage by Motorsport Games. You also have IndyCar, World Endurance Championship (WEC), and I believe British Touring Car Championship (BTCC). They have had content released on rFactor2 which is now owned by Motorsports Games. I'm not a big NASCAR fan, in fact never really was, but there are a large number of road racing games that are being held hostage. iRacing this year announced that they would no longer have IndyCar races the same weeks as the actual races. Culprit, Motorsports Games. I hope IndyCar can get out of their deal and bring back iRacings IndyCar Series.
I wish Studio 397 was "un-owned" by MSG so they could be bought by a more trustworthy owner...
NASCAR 99 for N64 will always be my favorite NASCAR game. I won every single race at least once.
Now it’s time for IndyCar to end their exclusivity deal with Motorsport Games
I just want a game that brings back what Papyrus had for NR 2003. I want to control the car on pit road and be able to pull into my pit stall. I want complete control of my car at ALL times. I want to be able to pause the game under caution and watch a replay of the caution from different cameras/cars. I want the ability to call an audible on pit road, to beat out the pace car, to not go a lap down. This is just some of the great things that used to be available!!!
A Long shot but wouldn’t mind seeing Turn 10 Studios take a crack at it.
FREEDOM!!!!!! Get Ready to Learn Chinese MSG, It won't be long before all of you will be playing point guard for the Guangdong Tigers!!!
LOL
I just hopped on ignition today and
-still no mirror
-the ai can't go one lap without crashing on wwt and Atlanta
-the grid ordering is still messed up on some tracks
-i can drive away from all ai on Talladega on extreme difficulty
-ai grip hacks allowing them to full throttle on alot of tracks making it almost impossible to pass on some tracks and many more issues so this video really got me excited to hear other companies are making nascar games
I was a fan of NASCAR since I was like...2 or 3 I would watch with my grandparents or my dad. However when I got old enough to play the games it definitely nurtured a much deeper love much faster than it otherwise would have been. I'm in my mid 20s now and desperately want a good game
Honestly iracing and Monster Games just need to team up and make a banger. Iracing already has the best NASCAR experience and monster knows how to make a console game so it’s a formula for success
Golden era of nascar games was the 90s / early 2000s on pc.
You know for awhile I did though about what if 2K made a NASCAR game. I mean they have made racing games in the past before so why not?
Also “NASCAR 2K24” sounds like a pretty badass title!
However the problem that I have with that is because 2K is notoriously known for shutting down online servers after every two years after the game is released. Just ask all the NBA 2K gamers. 😅
Thank the lord! 🗣️
Take a look at Radmans video on why exclusivity will remain a presence. The sports gaming industry as a whole is completely different than what it was in the early 2000s. We will never get back there unfortunately, and at this point I just want a half-decent game that works. Until then, I'll keep on going with Heat 4
Play Heat 5 every day. Ignition is just painful to play. Hope this brings better things!
LESSSSSGOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Hopefully this is the first of many exclusive rights losses for Motorsport Games!
NASCAR games are really a niche market. monster games may be the only ones wanting to give it a try, i can't see EA wanting to spend the money to make a game that honestly isn't going to sell that well. games cost A LOT to develop these days, so they have to sell a lot to make their money back. maybe 2k could give it a go, but they are hit and miss sometimes as well...
Turn 10 Studios and the XBOX Division would love to take on a full NASCAR License, I get my NASCAR fix in Forza Motorsport 7 from 2017.
*Forza Motorsport is releasing October 5th 2023!*
"Day 1 Purchase for me!"
The NFL and other sports leagues should follow NASCAR’s footsteps.
I hope we get a company that is competent
At this point, only Nintendo. EA has microtransactions, not to mention they screwed Nintendo over since 2014. iRacing could develop it, but chances are it'll be restricted to high end PCs leaving potatoes in the dust
Sing it from the mountain tops and praise the Lord. MSG is losing the NASCAR license, and it's music to my ears. If there's any doubt about NASCAR Arcade Rush, I'd say give it a try and go from there. I'd be happy if Monster Games and 2K would take a stab at the NASCAR games and see who makes the better game. Monster Games knocked it out of the park with World Of Outlaws Dirt Racing and the recent update they added, its like a new game. To end it off, Motorsports Games rest in piss you won't be missed.😂
The sad thing is Motorsport Games isnt outta the woods just yet. They still have the exclusive license for Indycar. And with that game coming out in 2024, my hopes aren't high with how they treated NASCAR. They know if they loose that license too, it is over. So hoping thats a wake up call for the studio
🎶FREEDOOOOOOOM! FREEDOOOOOOOM! Here comes the freedom man!🎶
I’m glad we’re getting away from MSG. However, I do hope that the new studio making them is someone like Turn 10 (Forza) or EA Sports. Those companies have made tremendous games in the past that we all have enjoyed, and I think if we put our faith in them, we’ll be in good shape moving forward.
I sure as hell don't want EA to handle it at all, right now. I felt like F1's games basically fell off after Codemasters was acquired by them.
@@ArbitraryOutcome Codemasters is being merged into Criterion next year.
I want 2 NASCAR games a year. One where you drive the cars for different teams just like a normal NASCAR game and one where you can manage an existing NASCAR Cup Series team and hire drivers from ARCA, Trucks and Xfinity.
like the "manager" style games?
And both to be Nintendo exclusive
Gotta admit tho. The latest Heat series is a lot better than the previous run from early 2000s.
Let’s hope it doesn’t go back to EA Sports, because it’s has massive controversy because of Microtransactions. I pray to god it’s not going back to them
codemasters is one of the racing game developers out there
I can't believe that I'm gonna say this but I hope EA gets another crack at the NASCAR license. Only because EA bought Codemasters and they haven't made many crappy racing games, and those crappy games we're still pretty good compared to the trash MSG has been shoveling out.
Ideally I'd like a NASCAR game with the "feel" of a Codemasters title, but with all the features and game modes of the old PS2 era EA NASCAR games.
Maybe they could finally fix my pet peeve I've had with NASCAR games since Thunder 2004 : I want rookie stripes on my back bumper for my 1st season In each series! Lol, that always bugged me about the games from 2005 onward.
Thank God MSG has bitten the dust. Now hopefully they'll go out of business soon.
Thank you god i pray for the biggest bounce back, TO BETTER GAMES 🙌
It’s a miracle a miracle I tell you
Let the freedom bell ring! Laugh if you want Black Flags Matter and say that you give a heck about Bad Seasons: Motorsport Games 2023.
The only Nascar game I ever played was Nascar 98 on the PS1. That game is a masterpiece.
Try the Thunder games and Chase for the Cup, specifically, the Gamecube versions
I think that multiple studios will make a new game from ea to others maybe if it isn't exclusive
Now that Motorsport games no longer had the NASCAR game license. What company will make NASCAR games in the future?
The XBOX Divisions Turn 10 Studios, *Forza Motorsport.*
Nascar 98 was the pinnacle of Nascar games.
The EA exclusivity killed both PC simulators and console NASCAR gaming...on the PC side we had papyrus/sierra, stormfront and monster putting out absolute bangers every year....after the EA deal...we got exactly 1 title...that EA dropped support and shut down servers for after a year. Really hope this leads to some good sims that give us an alternative to iRacing.
Wonder if Monster Games and iRacing would do a collaboration like they have done with World of Outlaws
iRacing owns Motorsport Games. Personally, I’d like to see something similar to NR2003 for PC. Have things like the ability to design and edit tracks, an opponent manager where we upload schemes and create the field of drivers. Also have it to where it can include multiple mods and the community can make them as well.
They could do the console version then where you have paint scheme packs or track packs for the micro transactions (since we know game studios love to do that these days).
Papyrus actually did have a console version. NASCAR Racing 2 was reworked into NASCAR Racing on the original PlayStation. So they have some experience with that.

I don’t really care that much. I just want a NASCAR 2023 game.
I’ve been saying this for a while, let Turn 10 make the next NASCAR game, maybe they can actually get drafting correct, or we get a proper NASCAR Forza Horizon update that goes through the history of the sport in a Horizon story, would it be an Xbox exclusive, yes, would I care, hell no

I am SO glad I didn't waste any money towards Motorsport Games, and good on NASCAR for realizing they made a mistake with that contract.
Can’t wait to see what it September 30 holds. My sons and I need a new nascar game to play on the xbone
Monster games with the help of i racing can definitely make a nascar console game. I hope that’s the direction nascar is headed.🎉
I hope whatever game is made you can own multi car teams in all divisions and hire drivers kinda like 05 but real drivers that could use some spotlight in the lower series

if they bring back three series campaign i’ll be happy
Exclusive rights are the worst thing to happen, many companies making many NASCAR games and having competition brings in better games and more money.
The NASCAR fan base is having a party
Legit thought in the intro you were going to say "HA HA HA, RONALDINHO SOCCER!!!"
I wish Turn 10 Studios would develop a Nascar game or how about IRacing on console
THIS^^^!
The XBOX Divisions *"Turn 10 Studios"* are the very best at Console Racing Games! NASCAR on the XBOX Series X would be Amazing!
I still play NASCAR in Forza Motorsport 7 from 2017!
Damn the sad truth is no matter what happens (unless it’s nothing) NASCAR games will improve. Hell even if EA or 2K end up with it at least we’ll get adequate(if lazy and glitchy) titles. The Motorsport games were awful.
Lets give Motorsport Games credit for doing the impossible. Making people miss EA.
This is why sports shouldnt do exclusively licenses. EA has so many. If there was competition this space would actually be amazing
I think the best way to go about it is to sell the license to multiple studios. i.e (EA Sports, Monster Games, Codemasters) {yeah ik codemasters is owned by EA} if you could do that and maintain a license multiple studios. Then you’ll have quality content.
NASCAR '98 with Molly Hatchet in the soundtrack was my first game. Thunder 2004 was my favorite.
Let’s gooooo, ive been waiting way too long for this
The company I would have loved to have seen get the Nascar license, before they were bought up by EA was CodeMasters. As for current developers I can only see two that could do the license justice: Sony & Xbox Games. The only other developer though it would be a long shot, would be IRacing.
Sony would be a weird one because I don't think Sony release a nascar game to all consoles only PlayStation and that's it.
@@runrafarunthebestintheworld That what I was implying; do away with the exclusive license and allow Sony(GT), and Xbox(Forza) to make two separate games, see which one comes out on top.
