Omg so excited for you to visit Banff and Jasper, you will enjoy them both so very much 😍 The mountains and lakes are just so magical, it feels like your life is a movie.
If I were you, I would certainly either start or end in Calgary, I'm assuming that's where you'll be flying in and out of. The Calgary stampede is July 5-14 and I'm sure you'd love it! I know you mentioned already having booked Airbnbs but if you still need somewhere to stay, Canmore is lovely and much quieter with more affordable hotels than Banff and Jasper.
Make sure to visit Johnston canyon, Athabasca falls, go for a swim to cool down in lake Edith or lake Annette, take a gondola ride (both Banff and Jasper have them), Lake Louise is a must and moraine lake is also stunning. You'll need to take a bus shuttle to get there from Banff if the parking is filled up around the lake which it normally always is in the summer but there will be signs letting you know.
The grizzly house is a great dinner place in Banff. Magpie & stump, Tooloulous and El Toro are also great.
For Jasper, Patricia Street Deli has great sandwiches for a lunch and the Raven Bistro and Syrahs are nice dinner options.
There is also a wolf dog sanctuary called Yamnuska outside of Calgary, you can do tours and interact with the wolf dogs

I’d also recommend staying in Canmore, it’s 10 mins away from Banff! I always stay there when I’m spending time in Banff. Hope you enjoy!
I have grown up visiting Banff and surrounding areas all my life. Top tip don’t even try to drive up to see lake Louise they will turn you away. You have to book a park and ride shuttle in advance. Also recommend driving 30 mins outside Banff to check out Canmore. It’s my favourite mountain town.

I was in Banff last summer! My fav things were the Banff gondola, lake Louise hike up to the tea house, Banff upper hot springs, lake minnewanka, canoeing on bow river, and the cascade of time garden! All gorgeous spots. There’s so much to do but things can get expensive lol wait till you see our gas prices 🇨🇦😭
Banff/jasper is very cold even in the summer so don’t underestimate the weather. Def pack warm clothing especially if you’re hiking up. Bring bear spray bc you will encounter bears. You can’t go to banff/jasper without hiking to look up the nice hikes. Jasper also has some really nice hot springs so look into those. I would go at night bc it’s a beautiful view and less crowded.
If you’re going to be in Banff during July 5-14th you should drive an hour to Calgary and go to the Calgary Stampede. It’s the biggest outdoor show and the most popular event that happens in YYC. Athletes and country artist come from around the world to perform.

I live in Calgary and go to Banff, Canmore and Jasper quite often, so I’m really excited to see what you end up doing!! I’m sure you’ve been told already, but its no joke how busy it gets in the summer…. if you’re doing hikes or anything else that requires parking, always leave super early. And dont forget your bear spray!!❤️

We went to Vancouver and banff and jasper! Two weeks ago for a girls trip! It was beautiful!!! Jasper is honestly pretty but we were there for 5 hours and saw what there was to see. Banff is pretty awesome! Beaver tails are a must! Spaghetti factory was a good little spot 3 course meal.
Kinda random and gonna get sappy for a second here, but your relationship with your sister Meghan is so beautiful and I dearly and deeply wish that I was closer to one of my older sisters who has become more estranged over the past several years, sadly. At least I have another older sister who I'm closer to. If life is about anything, it's definitely about relationships with people, especially family and friends. I admire how much you live that, you adore your family and I wish that all of my immediate family was closer. Anyway, love you girl.
Definitely have a cocktail for Cinco de Mayo! I love a good margarita! You’re doing the right thing by not being impulsive with buying a house! Make a list of your non-negotiable things you want in your house (storage, square feet, # of bedrooms, etc….) and stick to it because you WILL find it eventually. Remember that you can’t change location so that’s always important. Especially if down the road you ever end up selling it. Location is really important for a lot of buyers. Where did you get those bowls you put your sheet pan dinner in? I love them!!!!! ❤❤
Canadian here! Banff and Jasper are both absolutely gorgeoussss, and totally your vibe. You are going to love them both!!! Be sure to do the Banff gondola! And if you have time, try to see Lake Louise and have high tea at the hotel there!!!! Amazing experience!

Columbia Icefields Skywalk is a hot spot for tourists that is on the way to Jasper from Banff. There's also a gandola in Banff, another touristy thing.
Jasper and Banff are beautiful. I lived in Jasper for a few years, i would recommend the 6 bridges maligne canyon hike. also ask a local where the edge of the world is its a beautiful view. Athabasca falls is a beautiful spot just outside of jasper on the way to Banff.

We did Banff and Jasper NP last July and it was BREATHTAKING! however, expect rain :( we were tent camping there for the week and it was depressing that most of our hikes we planned to do, we didn't end up doing because the weather was absolutely horrible. I hope you guys have better weather. ❤
If you're flying/landing in Calgary and then driving to Banff... fuel up the vehicle before you leave the city. Banff and jasper fuel prices are ridiculous (from someone who currently lives in Calgary, AB and is from a small BC town close to Banff). I'm surprised you guys aren't hitting up the Calgary Stampede and then doing a trip to Banff/Jasper

@lindseyhughes the Calg Stampede is always the middle of July. It runs for 10 days. They usually release the info with specific dates and live shows months in advance. Just so you know for the future because I remember you mentioning you wanted to go to it one day in a previous vid. Always check the Coca-cola stage (aka the coke stage is what everyone calls it) for the live-show line up, when deciding what day to go. It's a free live-show upon entry into the Stampede grounds. I have seen/heard so many good artists in previous years, Nelly Furtado, Feist, finger eleven, nitty gritty dirt band, soooooo many.

Banff - stay in Canmore instead, a little bit slower/quaint but still a close drive to all the major sights! Jasper, go to Jasper park lodge just to go walk around the lake?!

As someone who lives in Alberta Banff is not worth the hype. Check out Canmore tho! Is right by Banff.
I like about an hour awasy from a park called Waterton is amazing and basically a smaller Banff!Jasper is awesome tho!

I live in Alberta not far from Banff and Jasper, so I have some recs! Definitely go to the town of Canmore. It's about 30 minutes from Banff, but it's way less touristy and busy. It also has a much more local feel than Banff. Banff mainly has well known stores, but Canmore has much more cute local shops, thrift stores, cafes, and restaurants. I'd highly recommend the Rocky Mountain Bagel Co (bagel cafe), Flatbread Co (amazing pizza), and Stonewaters (local shop). In Banff, they have beavertails and Cows icecream, which are both great Canadian desserts! I'd also recommend heading to Lake Louise and doing the short hike to the tea house. There's a beautiful lake up there as well (Lake Agnes). Canoeing on Lake Louise is fun too, but pricey. Definitely also go on the Banff gondola. Jasper mainly has touristy shops and restaurants, but there's lots of great hiking in that area. There's also hot springs (Miette hot springs) you could check out!
Also the icefields Parkway between Jasper and Banff is amazing and has lots of viewpoints off the highway! They're all well marked and signed

Hi! My hair is luckily pretty light so I don’t use anything! I just shave them like normal. I definitely appreciate them being low maintenance!
