I passed my test today thanks to this video! And so, I also wanted to share a few tips and things to keep in mind when going for the modified G test (which is in effect until March 31st, 2022). - try to book it early morning (before 10:30 AM is ideal) as they can have delays, which thankfully I didn't have to face. - When the examiner arrives, pull down your window and show them your license card and turn on the appropriate signals/honk. Be polite and ask how they are doing if possible. I had this Angel named 'Sam' and she was very kind, asked how I was doing and wished me all the best, which pretty much helped instill confidence in me. Then, please don't forget to buckle up your seatbelts! Being a very anxious person, I forgot to buckle up mine after showing my license card and noticed only when the warning light went on (thankfully she brushed it off and I fixed it automatically). - The route I took was exactly the same as this one (same up until 19:26). The only difference is when after 19:26, she told me to turn left and go that way back to the Drive Test centre. During this entire route, as mentioned by other kind people in the comments, I made sure to look at the rear mirrors and perform shoulder checks frequently (before every turn, lane change (including yield lanes and highway entry/exits), and when moving the car from a stationary position). Also another useful tip my driving instructor gave was to perform advance scans by looking ahead (that is to imagine you are a robot and you scan ahead of the road to see if there is anything you need to be cautious about (i.e., changing lights, accidents, blockages, traffic, etc). This also includes looking side to side frequently as you pass intersections and railway tracks. It was a foggy day today, and I was extra careful about turns and such, so please try your level best to be alert. - When turning to merge on the highway, don't slow down!! I slowed down on my second entry into the highway and she told me not to slow down! Maintain a steady speed and accelerate in the acceleration lane to 70, then perform rear mirror/shoulder check, and merge smoothly. I was asked to switch lanes multiple times (i.e. 6 times) since there was no traffic behind me and it was clear ahead as well. So be prepared and don't panic. Take your time and only change lanes if it is safe! - When at red light stops, don't be shy. Look at all the directions and perform scans of all the roads to ensure you don't get hit by any surprises when the green light hits. When turning left, signal to turn right as soon as you complete the turn (unless directed otherwise). - When I made my way back, she asked me to pull up to an empty box (i.e. no reverse parking, since pretty much every car was already parked in reverse position). And just to be clear, she didn't ask for reverse parking, parallel parking, three point turn and emergency road side stop. - Finally, remember it is just a test at the end of the day! don't panic and one last piece of advice is to stay focused on the present (i.e. don't worry about what went wrong (if you screwed up somewhere) or what might go wrong). If you adopt this mind frame it will help you keep less stressed and just imagine that the examiner you are taking out with you is actually a family member! This way you'd be very safe on the road and pass the test! All the very best to everyone!!! Thanks again for this channel and everyone who was kind enough to provide some advice/hints. Hope this helps :)

Hi Emma, Congratulations of passing the G test. I am planning to give this test in April it would be great if you could answer the following questions 1) How long did the test take? 2) Any tips/advice as you recently gave this test? 3) I have a G1 and I am skipping G2, do you have any idea if they are going to test me on parallel park, 3-point turn, or an emergency roadside stop? Also did you also skip G2?
@@shekharsharma3111 The test I would say took around 15 minutes. A few tips I would share is to always blindspot and mirror check before doing any kind of lane change, even if it is not in a lane where you usually do a blindspot check. Also, do not speed always go what the speed limit is. You have some room and go 5km faster but that is the max I would do. Exaggerate looking in the mirrors, it will let the examiner know you are aware of your surroundings. When going through a major intersection make sure to look left, right, left as my examiner told me I needed to do that. Finally make sure you have both hands on the wheel as that is how the examiner would like to see it. I did not skip my G2, in fact you're the first person I have heard who has done this! So I am not sure if on this test they will test you on other skills like parallel parking. In the G2 test they do test you on those type of skills but on the G they do not. Perhaps you could call drivetest and clarify this question due to your situation? Good luck on your road test, I'm sure you'll do great!
Hi Emma, did you take full G? I heard new rules, they don’t test 3 points turn, parallel parking and emergency stop. Did examiner asked you do everything???
Recently tests are also beginning towards Arrow Road (turn left from your stationary position at the Drive Test Centre and then make right to come on Arrow Road) and from Arrow road turn right onto Woodlawn and then turn left to enter HW 6, exit right to Willow followed by an immediate right to Marksam and then right turn at stop sign to enter Speedvale and then enter Highway 6 once again. You exit left on Willow followed by a left turn on Silvercreek to go back to the DriveTest centre.

Thank you so much for this video that really helped me to clear my G directly after G1 because of my Indian experience also got added, I was really stressed and hopeless but with all the hardwork and dedication I cleared it with ease , my examiner was Tony , a young man from Egypt and he was so nice and his last words were that you did an excellent job except a single slow turn and he said its ok sometimes on exam day , All credit goes to my instructor as he prepared me 120% in 5 lessons only , he was asking me after lesson 3 to go for g2 but I decided to stay firm and practice off track with my brother for 2 hours on my left /right turns and these videos really helped me as the route was same almost and I tracked this route with my brother 2 days before my exam . At last , Work hard and stay strong and pray surely if god is with you all seems funny later on . Any question please , comment below . Yes , go for Guelph than any other city if possible as route is very easy comparatively. Thanks again cheers 🍻

Thanks, Evgeniy! I passed my test last Saturday at this location. My examiner did some changes on the route, but still very similar. I watched this video and the “Ontario Driving Test Skills” set and it helped a lot. Good practice, knowing the traffic laws and your videos are the perfect match to pass.
Just did my G test and i passed it from G1 Straight to G today, After 3 solid months of preparation and episodes of anxieties. Big thanks to this video for calming my nerves and with the tips. watched it over and over and the routes were similar. My examiner for the Road test was super warm and nice. I passed my test today! I thought it was later this week… checked my receipt and of course it was today lol. I was terrified. I’ve never felt so stressed about anything compared to a drivers test. Is so silly, but this kind of this terrifies me. I waited so long to get my g2 from my g1 the only reason I could get my g this late was because of covid extensions. So I was running on already taken time. Very stressful. I went thinking “well, might as well” since it was already going to be a charge without the proper notice. Id never driven in Guelph so that added. But I had been told it would be totally normal. once we were 3/4 in I was like wait a minute... I’m doing great! I went nearly the same route from this video! We just went back on the highway to lane change again because it was too busy when we first went on it. When we got to park back at the centre I was prepared to hear I had just nearly passed, but failed. Nope! I passed! And the gentleman has said I did a “pretty good job”. I have major anxiety towards driving with people, let alone a stranger. But I felt comfortable with this instructor. I’m so thankful and glad for this video, my instructor, and myself! Thank you very much for this mock test! It saved a lot of my anxiety! I burst into tears when I passed!
Thanks a lot, went for a test today. I believe this video is sufficient enough to pass G test in Guelph region. Thanks to the trainer as well to share his experience.

Examiners are very good..

So just to make sure I understood this correctly, at 3:24, he said if you don’t pass the road test you’re not allowed to drive home by yourself? Failing the G test doesn’t strip you of your license so why would you not be able to drive yourself home?! That doesn’t make any sense
Thank you, Evgeniy! I passed my G yesterday from a direct G1. your tips were very helpful. I would definitely emphasize on mastering head movements and to communicate with the person sitting next to you. they are going to be objective so don't communicate with the intent that you can smooth talk them. respect their responsibility and try to genuinely communicate to convey driving is natural to you (it can also help you with your nerves), you prioritize safety and you will have better results. If you have any questions please let me know and I'll help you as much as I can like many other people in the comment section did to me.

Once you are done with the road test registration inside the office, go to your car and wait inside the car with your masks on - DONOT take your mask off as examiners are cancelling the tests if the candidate is seen w/out wearing a mask inside the car- I cannot stress this any more 2. Perform shoulder checks all through your trip - and addl. remember the schools have now open and sessions are in progress - get to know the speed restrictions on the willow road ( speed should drop to 40 from 50 if the school lights are flashing ) and the rules applicable for school bus - I did a complete stop on the opposite side when a school bus stopped in the marksam road - stay in speed limit and drive safe - good luck to all the aspirants - cheers

@@emmachaput988 Thank you Emma.
Hi Emma, did you take full G? I heard new rules, they don’t test 3 points turn, parallel parking and emergency stop. Did examiner asked you do everything???

Hi , is that guy with you is an instructor? Can i have his number? I will be having my G Road Test this 27, please
PASSED G!!! Absolutely worth watching this! Got myself prepared for the exact same route 😂😂😂 CHEERS!
Just had my Test today, Literally the exact same route and I passed you are God Sent my friend
How was it the driving and tester experience? Gonna have mine this 5th August.
@@Dann-md9eq Hey Dann it went really smooth, instructor was nice it was literally this exact same route watch this video a few times and you should be good
Just passed my G2 test first go because of this video. Was a different and shorter route, took me down silver creek to Willow to sunset drive where I did my parallel parking, three point turn and emergency up hill parking. And then had me drive back the same route back to the centre. But the tips in this video totally helped!!
Did you do your test before the removal of all those tests? Im worried theyll test me on it despite it being removed

Just passed my G test today. Watched this video last night which helped me a lot. Thank you so much guys.
Thank you for this video..I did my G license road test in Guelp yesterday and I passed. The video really prepared me because it was as though I had driven that route before while doing my test. THANKS A MILLION continue the good work
Thanks, Evgeniy!
Make sure you perfect your maneuvers, Make sure your mask is put on before the examiner gets to your car, make sure you are checking your mirrors and blind spot and most importantly, Be calm, Guelph is a good bet to pass if you've practice well.. Good Luck
I just passed my G test today! The road was almost the same. I practiced alot based on your video. Thank you so much!

Just passed my test exact same route. Examiner was super nice. Thanks for video and tips 👍

Just passed my G today in Guelph! Thanks so much! This video helped me. I remembered to do downhill parking for the emergency stop lol...thanks again! :D
Nice 👍
Thank you so much for this video! You without a doubt helped me pass my test! For all those wondering; this is the same route for the modified test but you just won’t be asked to do all the parking exercises.
Hi Jasmine, I have my G test tomorrow. Do you have any observations/tips for me? There is no parallel parking correct?
Nice!
@@abdullahshahid9051 Hi Abdullah, just make sure you check your mirrors every 10 secs and manage your speed. It definitely helps to say "no train" before you pass the railroad. I did notice the examiner trying to intimidate me but just be confident in yourself and be extra safe. Good luck!
The first merge on the highway is quick so make sure you start accelerating to 70km as soon as you make the turn. DO NOT MERGE UNDER 70!
@@abdullahshahid9051 it's it's today then yes no parallel . One top if examiner want to start conversation then start it . U ll be like u r with ur gf having fun ... I m passed today as well in guelph

So happy to hear!!!
Hello! Did the examiner ask you to parallel park and reverse park and make a 3 point turn in your G test at this location?
@@zainabchunawala1928 when I did test they didn't ask me to perform 3 point turn , parellel park , and reverse park.
If my understanding is right they weren't doing it in any location due to the large number of tests to complete across Ontario. (Please recheck in the official drive test website or ask your instructor for upto date information.
Since I had about 6 years of driving experience and my parking skills are decent I didn't had a problem doing it.
When the test was completed , my examiner had asked me to forward park into a tricky spot between vehicles , but that was not hard at all.
Cool, thank you so much :)
I just passed my G test today, this video was so helpful. Not sure how many times I watched the video...lol. I really appreciate it!!!
Glad it helped!
I passed my G test Today! Thanks for this video. We followed this exact route. Thanks a lot.
I haven't gone yet, but I really appreciate you both for making this video. I don't live in Guelph but it was hard to find any appointment and I've had my G tests cancelled twice because of covid. Then I was told it would expire soon and I was praying I wouldn't have to go to Toronto. I don't even own a car yet so I'll be using my dad's vehicle which I've never driven. My dad just recently moved near me so tomorrow I'll do a prep drive before coming in for my morning test. Thank you again!
I had my G driving test today and I watched this video before going there and it helped me alot. The route was a little different though but mostly the same as shown in the video. On top of that, the examiner lady was really supportive. I cleared my G today. Thanks so much for the help. You guys are doing a great job. Much love and support to your channel 👍🏻❤️
is the test still modified? Thank you and congratulations!!
I have my test next week and curious if you used your car or a driving institutions car?
@@ma.stephanieyvonnejavier2748 thanks so much. The test is not modified, it’s just that they tend to cut short it a little. If you seem a confident driver to them, they’ll finish the test in less than 20 minutes.

I passed my G test today at guelph drive test center. This video helped a lot to be familirize with the roads and special signs such as 2 railway crossing in Royal Road. It was the same route as mentioned in the video and was 14 minutes drive 😊. Thank you so much for uploading this video.
Congratulations. Did you do 3 points turn , parallel parking and emergency stop at this time. When you go 2 railway crossing should I reduce speed or stop ??? Because I didn’t see any stop sign there
only stop if there's a train crossing. if theres no train do not slow down... drive past at 50km per hr and check sides
@@annen.3439 Thank you very much for your answer
I burst into tears when I passed!
hey, is it still modified?
Thanks a lot, went for a test today. I believe this video is sufficient enough to pass G test in Guelph region. Thanks to the trainer as well to share his experience.

I cleared my G test today at Geulph..
Though I am not very good at remembering all the directions but this video really helped understand different signals and road expectations... In my mind I was like " i know this sign.."... I was driving at 60kmh speed at 50 limit... Examiner questioned on the road speed limit and I said 50... Then i lowered it down to 50...
Examiners are very good..
Congratulations 🍾

Thank you for this, just passed my test at this location. Great tips!
Glad it was helpful!
So just to make sure I understood this correctly, at 3:24, he said if you don’t pass the road test you’re not allowed to drive home by yourself? Failing the G test doesn’t strip you of your license so why would you not be able to drive yourself home?! That doesn’t make any sense
This helped me prepare for the test, thank you! I passed just fine, and they used this exact route too.
Are they still asking for 3-point turn, reverse parking, and parallel parking?
Thanks, my wife passed her test your video helped her lot
That's great! Congrats to her!
Hello, I have my test tomorrow lunch. Is G road test reverted back to old test version? Was the route the same as the video?
@@ma.t.t.9096 Hello! first of all, good luck to you. And no, it hasn't reverted back to traditional version yet. No parallel parking, 3 point turn, reverse parking. After you finish highway for the second time, instead of taking right to silvercreek/Ajax you will take a left and go back to test centre. The test lasts roughly 15-20 mins tops. When you return back to the test centre you will be asked to find any empty spot and park there.
@@DrChingidichoo Thank you for the quick response! Did you do reverse parking at the end? Thank you again!

Hello Everyone - I am delighted to inform y'all that I have today gotten my G license - a million thanks to this video and the route was exactly the same from the start to the end - thanks for helping us with the proforma of this route - and great tips too for passing this test-
Since I have done this test today I am available for any queries that might benefit an aspirant - the 2 most imp bits to remember: 1.
Congrats!
Did they ask you to do parallel parking or any other “parking” related tasks?

Did my G today at Guelph, passed thanks to your video!! I got familiar with the roads before my test and felt pretty good during the test. Thanks!
^^^
@@justinraso6873 It’s very easy. I honestly don’t remember the exact streets, but some of the names I remember are Woodlawn, royal Rd, Speedvale, then Highway 7. My test was about 10-15 minutes. She basically just made me drive on those streets, do lane changes and stay at the speed limit. I got onto highway 7 twice. Make sure you hit close to 70 on the highway and then merge. I got to like 67 before my lane started ending but that’s fine, I think as long as you don’t just merge right away you should be fine! No parallel, reverse, three point, or emergency stops. Make sure you stop before the stop sign like and the red light line with a full stop. You’ll be great!
