I've been a Nascar fan since 1975 to say I love the sport is spot on .now I absolutely do not care for the chase , stages , and all crap they did to screw up the sport but Chase Elliott is the single reason I still watch he's a chip off the old block and thank God he was born 40 years past his personality.

Chase is not a cry baby like most NASCAR drivers these days.
He wanted to not be there so bad. He's really pissed about the way Kyle stole this from him, but he has to keep the good face on. He's always been a stellar teammate and doesn't resort to calling them out in the press.
He's rightfully mad, but I don't think so much at Kyle. He's mature enough to realize that he has twice the wins than the entire field and basically came into the race with the championship clinched

I am wondering what he has up his sleeve for Bristol ? He helped Larson win the night race last year and has mentioned Bristol several times after this race. Will be interesting to watch.
Look obviously Chase is fuming inside and he has every right to be but he’s not gonna give in and give the media what they want and add that drama between him and Larson he’s taking the higher road. But I will say this there is absolutely no way from here to Phoenix that Chase will cut Larson any breaks, he will use him up every chance he gets and next week at Daytona you will see him bail on Larson any chance he gets and leave him out to dry just watch.
And Larson can use him up too. That's a two way street and surely Chase knows this. He knows full well he has just as much to lose as Larson and he won't play that card until the last race in the season. He better hopes he wrecks him completely too because in the sport revenge is bitter sweet. If he tries and fails be sure the paybacks will be swift.
Chase is a class act. We don’t need to know what’s in his mind. He for sure wasn’t going take himself out to stop Kyle from passing him. I surprised he didn’t get up to 3rd or even 2nd with the speed his car had. I think his just figured why screw up and get a worse finish… who knows
He could've even moved logano but basically allowed him to come 3rd
Actually we do need to know what he’s thinking that’s why he’s in the press conference. When “other” drivers won’t talk or give that kind of attitude towards a topic or whole interview, people call them crybabies or spoiled. He’s no different. Chase Elliot fans need to understand that

God those reporters need to take a step back, and think for a second. Clearly from post race he didn’t want to discuss the final restart, just drop it and be the first to ask a unique question like that wonderful question about the wet track and rain tires!

He was given a line by Mr. H and he has read it and recited it with the art of a fine actor. Now enters Jeff G the cleaner . Time will tell how this plays out. But I can tell you Kyle Larson will not head what Jeff says . AND THIS IS WHY YOU HAVE BAD BLOOD. LARSON KNEW WHAT HE WAS DOING. So did Mr. H and Jeff that is why they got to Chase first. This dude has been groomed in this business his entire life. He doesn't need any line from Hendrick or Gordon. He knows what to do and say in front of the cameras to keep the team and sponsors happy.

I could never be a member of the press. I could never ask a guy who was feeling dejected or angry a question that is meant to push his buttons just to get a reaction on tape. I just couldn't do it and I don't know how they do it. Takes a special breed I guess.

Everybody talking about how Chase handled this with class are the same ones that are mad when Kyle Busch answered every question with "Everythings Great" a couple of years ago. Trust me, hes not offering congratulations.....Hes been salty of Larson since last year when they asked Chase what is it going to take to win, and he said put a 5 on the side of it.

There is plenty there. Its obvious. Chase made it known he didn't want to talk about it.
Whoever has the inside of a turn has the advantage. Chase knows that (I hope). Why did Chase choose the to be on the outside of the first turn? To me that's a HUGE mistake. He did it more than once, too.
Cause you can build more speed taking the wide turn into the big speed section. Larson locked them up and went into Elliot, it actually looked like he saw that and backed off to avoid damaging his car
You get a better exit from the top hence why the 1st restart he took the lead. The thing is he had a teammate and his inside which he was comfortable with he gave Larson the benefit of the doubt but now that he knows Larson will nvr be a team guy he will dish out the same energy and when that happens I want the same people that are saying what Larson did was ok to hold that same energy when chase is on the side of the contact.
While it’s true you get a better launch off the corner, who’s ever inside on a last restart is going to drive you deep into the corner and try to push you wide. Kyle had a great push from Aj which drew them pretty even going into turn one. It was unfortunate for chase but that’s the chance he took. What I don’t like is the whole mentality of I did what I had to do for the win.

You are remembering bristol 2021 fall race when you got Harvicked for a 2nd time and went 2 laps down and came over the radio and said "where is the 5 at maybe I can help him". Too bad your So called team-mate wants to use you up like a door mat.

Larson might of woke the sleeping giant. During Chase's championship run in 2020, he ran awful at Texas and at the end of the race he said 'F this place ' and he went to Martinsville and dominated and same at Phoenix. A pissed off Chase is a very good Chase in my opinion. Sometimes I think he is too nice behind the wheel. I predict that does not happen during the playoffs.
At least Kyle Larson tells the truth when he does these things denny Hamlin does it to others every week and smiles about it until Ross gets him now it's not right lol

I've never heard such an objectionable interview in my entire life. By refusing to talk about the issue, he just draws even more attention to it and makes himself look childish and fundamentally unlikable in the process. Or maybe I should say even MORE fundamentally unlikable. It's difficult to warm up to a guy who is so stoic, unemotional and rigid, combined with a little bit hateful and resigned in this interview. Ugh.

By the way Larson’s team mates weren’t nearly on the level he was last year so half the time they weren’t even near him for them to receive help from him. It’s a race, at the end of the day you have to be selfish at some capacity to win you got no idea what you’re talking about buddy.
