Thanks so much Janet, thanks for the kind words 😊🙏 I try to come up with my own original games as much as possible. A lot of it comes from being a big kid myself and thinking what I would find fun while also helping develop the skills needed (I've rarely seen a kid crazy excited to do another peg baord!) 😄
I tried this exercise with my 5 year old today who is already taking OT & ST & I had to hold the pencil for her with my hand while she moved each peg alternately up the pencil one at a time. She wasn’t able to do it independently just yet. I was happy to let her do a fun exercise in between while going through other activities at home. Thanks for sharing 😊
Great work! You're 100% right in your approach. Make it ACCESSIBLE. Start from the level the child is at and always keep it fun. Amazing and thanks for sharing 😊🙏❤
@@AdamtheOT thanks for the feedback & guess what, I tried the exercise with her again today but made her do it as you’ve shown in the video & after a few tries she was able to do it! 😃
Oh my gosh, my cousin, who is an OT, sent me a link to one of your videos and I am thrilled to pieces to have found you!!!! My grandson, who I help care for, needs fine/some gross motor help and I am going to use every one of your games/suggestions!!! Thank you! Your own OT client kids are sure lucky!
I am working in a specialist school and I believe my students will be definitely benefit from this fun activity for handwriting! Can’t wait to try with them! Thank you Adam for sharing your wisdom!
