- This video is a full restoration of big mouth Billy bass. I will show you how to disassemble the fish, replace all 3 motorshaft gears. This repair tutorial will also work for other 3 motor fish like Rocky rainbow Trout, big mouth rainbow trout, Al’s dancing fish, etc, but make sure to check how many teeth the gear that you are replacing will have since that will vary with knockoff fish.
These repair videos are such a useful thing for those who want to repair their singing fish! One thing I usually do is I like to unscrew the circuit board so that the wires don’t have so much stress on them and accidentally get pulled off the board.

Nice. I have singing jaws with a broken head mechanism. The rest is fine, but the head doesn’t move, it shakes and creeks instead

Great video, but where do you get the replacement gears? I've got one with a busted head gear and mouth gear, and if I'd love to buy replacements. Failing that, I might try 3D print.
update: found some on ebay. 1/2 mod 9t and 10t gears. If you have the fish already, just take it apart, take out the problem gear, and buy one that looks similar (9t for the driving neck gear, 10t for the driving mouth gear). Worked for me.
Great video! Thanks! The two pieces that connect to the motor have snapped where they connect to the shaft have snapped. Do you know, can replacement be sourced?
Could I show you a vid of my croc-o-rock for your advice on it please the head is clicking when it moves out and I assume the crown gear has split or is splitting but I’m not sure so I would love for some advice if your okay with it thank you
I wish my soldering iron melted soldor quick like your mine takes about 1 or 2 minutes to melt the solder idk if it’s just mine
I put pressure on mine to make it melt quicker😉

It sings and the mouth moves but it won't turn it heads towards me ???

Split gear for the head.

I put 3 different sets of batteries and does not work.nothing turns on.no movement or singing.
Could it be the power switch?.
