A few videos ago "I am an adult so i am going to stop breaking things because i need to be more responsible..." this video *slams $1000 phone against steering wheel 4 times*... Lol. He rages like me and it's funny af
The voltage is supposed to drop. Also the amp is going into protection because it's not meant to be wired like that. You can try holding RPMs above 2 thousand RPMs to help though to see if that helps. But my suggestion is wire the 12s under the seat like normal, then wire the third 12 in parallel (look it up to see what I mean if you don't already. Hope I could help man!
YOUR WORST NIGHTMARE no you won't I had a 4,000 watt amp and running 5 12's on one battery and sounded fine. It's probably a issues where the amp is either getting hot and/or not enough power to push 3 12's all he needs to do is make sure it's getting plenty of air or upgrade to a bigger amp
Sounds like your running to low of a ohm load on your amp! What ohm subs are your running and how many? That amp is only 2 ohm stable! You need to check your ohms on subs going to your amp! Set your volt meter to ohms and check the wires going to your amp from the subs and make sure there not lower the 2ohms!
It's a kicker comp. Pretty sure that's a single coil woofer. Either 2 ohm or 4 ohm. Scrap the whole junk system and build a new one. Just remember, insufficient airspace decreases impedance! Could be impedence drop causing the amp to go into protect as well if it's not stable under 2 ohm.
Just watched your newest video in Florida. Came through some old videos just to see how much your Channel has grown! Good shit man. I’ve been a sub since you made the video about how to hide your dip.
Congratulations buddy, and I know exactly what you mean. My channel hasn't been around for long, but I was really contemplating starting it or not. So one day I just uploaded a video and before I knew it I had a comment. Fast forward a few months and now I have 370 subscribers!! I know it's nothing yet, but it's slowly getting there and I'm really enjoying it. I also have a nice handful of followers that Faithfully watch and comment on every video. It's just a really good feeling knowing that people are enjoying the same things I am. So mojo risin my friend, Keep up The great work, this channel is just fun to watch
Speakin’ of us other fellow people, I’ve watched your videos for about a year now, and anytime I’m going threw a buncha stuff and anything like that, the hilarity of your videos always make me happier, thank for being a great UA-camr and being funny asf cause without these videos, I’d probably be really depressed😂, and remember, ima keep packin’ one with you🤘🏼
"mojo risin". Now, all you need is to rig a better connection for the LED light bar and get a bigger terminal for the positive cable on the battery. The amp wiring (and maybe the amp itself), will need to be replaced and upgraded whenever you can in the future, but for more accessories and better performance of these, you will eventually need a new more powerful alternator (preferably before your old one completely stops working)!
I love these videos where you work on your truck, btw you should try any dip (preferrably Grizzly Wintergreen) and add a spoon full or two of baking soda and mix it real good. If you add enough baking soda you'll have the biggest buzz ever
I think the slow engine response might be due to your clutch packs being worn out, but I don't work on trucks like that so idk, plus rough shift might be trans fluid.
I may be mistaken. Maybe Kenny or someone else could correct me but his truck has the 4.6 v8. Its a gutless wonder. Its not ment to be a big powerhouse, they're for reliability.
Did you do the big 3 on your truck when you hooked your subs up? This upgrade replaces or augments three key cables in the electrical system with 1/0 or 4 gauge wires: the battery ground to chassis wire, the chassis to engine block wire, and the alternator plus to battery plus wire. This increases your electrical system's current flow capability, ensuring a more consistent voltage under varying demand conditions. Basically the subs sound better for long term
Just started watching and have almost watched every video love them fr😂😂I live in kentucky too love this place but never would I have thought there’d be someone famous from here
You need to get a new amp. I had the same problem. If your amp isn't strong enough, it will go in protection mode because the sub is pulling too much wattage for that amp. That is your problem.
wire crimps are the best tool for that job buddy, and pull the sub and check the wire connection to the sub, and also check your ground connection on the amp. another thing you can do is the big 3 upgrade
Get a battery capacitor. It stores energy in order to help the ammo keep up with the large hits and high output. Your alternator is not big enough to keep up with the constant draw causing the drop in voltage. You can get one at Walmart or Amazon for cheap if you are pushing 1500 watts I would recommend a minimum of a 3 farad capacitor
Sounds like the voice coil may be broken in the sub. If you can, take the sub out of the box and look at it and see if its fcked. If its not that, try getting a capacitor. Its easy to put in and helps keep enough power to the system when the bass drops. Check to see if your headlights dim when bass hits. That is a good indicator that you need more power available
Put the volt meter on you positive and negative battery terminal. Start the truck. Turn your radio up all the way until your subs start cutting out and monitor the voltmeter. If it drops below 14v I would say your alternator is not rated at a high enough amperage. Check and see how hot the alternator is getting too.
The only 2 things i can think of is either you may need a bigger battery or thicker wire going to the amp from the battery... or it could be a combination of the two.. my dad had a massive system for 6 years and he 00 gauge wire and it still sometimes would be weak before he had bigger batteries so give that a shot
Kelly I’m no auto mechanic If your lights in your gear cluster are out it is a really easy fix or you have to do is remove the gauge cluster from the dash and replace the LED bulbs I hope that helps
Hey kenny take a look at the Alternator .. i just had to buy a 250 Amp Alt for my 2000 rado , i have a 3800w 15 with 2800 amp . Also yes look into doing a double battery setup . You need a batter isolator (Amazon) 4/6 guage wire and a 4/6 fuze . When the truck is off whatever you have hooked up to what battery is where the power would be pulled from . Say you have a lightbar and its hooked up to your secondary battery then it will only pull from that and when you turn on the truck the alternator will charge both . Im about to do all of it next week . Keep one for the truck only and one for all the extra shit you add .
You should put ring terminals on all your battery cables and use the marine terminals at the battery. Then plaster them with dielectric grease. That's how I usually fix Ford battery cables once the factory ends have to be cut off. Prevents corrosion much better than using those clamped on ends. Swap the wing nuts that come with the marine terminals with a proper one the same thread
Kenny I know your 3 motors into this truck (as of 2020) but if you have any more trouble you should put a 5.4 or another big block v8 that won’t break the trans and dif
Check the speaker wires going from the amp to the subs and make sure those aren't touching each other anywhere, sometimes if the positive and negative speaker wires touch each other it'll go into protection mode. Also check for corrosion on those wires, I'm no expert but just suggesting some stuff from experience
You need a bigger fuse for the amp it’s a safety feature that keeps from blowing the amp that’s why the subs keep cutting out or you need a bigger alternator and better battery since your volts are draining when the bass hits that means you need a bigger alternator and good battery
I have a 12” in my car and some problems I’ve had is that some time the positive and negative wires will not be in good enough and will cut in and out.
Your impedance is to low on your amp. That amp is 2 ohm stable and those Kicker Comps are more than likely single 4 ohm subs. When you ran 2 subs before you was probably at 2 ohms, but with that 3rd woofer it drops the impedance below 2 ohms and throwing it into protect. Lose a sub or get a amp that can handle the impedance you are throwing at it. Hope this helps.
Get a capacitor had the same issue. It will save your battery and alternator. It basically charges and saves up power for your amp so your battery isn’t taking the full load. Much cheaper than buying a separate battery.
One of the wires somewhere is lose. Maybe on the new 12 and all those speakers in there with it. If any of the wires going to the speakers are lose it’ll put the amp into protect and then it’ll cut back on when it’s turned down either that or the third 12 could just be to much for it try unplugging the new 12 and then see if it does it
Check the ohm stability of that particular amp you may have to change the configuration of your speaker wires from adding the 3rd sub to the supply the correct ohm load.
I didn't see if your power wire had a fuse or not but I'd get a larger fuse like a 100 amp fuse and a capacitor that should help regulate your voltage depending on how much power your pushing through that one speaker I'd also look at bridging your amp you'll get more power out of it, keep up the videos too man I just found you and hit the subscribe button immediately great content!
My 1 12” did the same thing and I figured out that it was because my amp was getting weak and when it hits hard it cuts out the amp is getting put in safety mode and it’s just from it may be too small of a amp if it get hot a lot that could cause it and sometimes it’s just because it’s old your best bet is to get a new amp
Thank u rc wolfy thats what i have and ran for a long while abd never had to do alt change nore bat ...and i have 2 2000wat 15inch subwooffers and a huge amp and i dont drop below 11amps win i am driveing or bumping in a parking lot but after 15mins ya my bat is hurten lol but just a copassitor will so just fine
Idk when you added the 3rd sub but if it started cutting out when you put the 3rd sub in and if you have all the subs bridged then the amp probably can’t handle that low of ohms.
I bought a kicker model amp like that and it was doing the same thing, some kinda new thing they got going on inside those models, bout it from best buy for almost 400 bucks and took it back the next day cause it would cut off. Their subs are great but the newer amps suck. Got a sundown audio amp now and it slams on 2 kicker 15s.
Turn the gain halfway bass 3/4 way and adjust gain to where you want it after it hits correctly. If amp goes in protect mode or whatever. Then your remote wire is fairly loose behind the radio
If you have a 4 ohm amp but you have your subs wired at 2 ohms then it will cause you amp to go into protection mode (that is if they are dual voice coil) if the they are single I would try a capacitor and a amp, I would also get you tweeters hooked up ( the ones in the box with the twelve)
take the sub woofer out the box make sure polarity is correct and make sure no speaker wires are touching. mine did the same bc it was shorting out the sub at high outputs.
It's your ground wire or bad wires(corroded or bad connections) causing to much resistance( higher ohm draw). Only two reasons an amp will go into protection mode.
Try unhooking the third 12 and see if that works your impedance or ohms might be too low for the amp when you have all 3 hooked up which in most cases can be the cause of it going into protect.
Ur hot wire needs fixed and how much power do u have running to u subs and maybe u have a wire crossed and do u have ur amp bridged or hooked up straight...if its bridged then in bridge it and turn ur bass up on the amp and possibly double check all ur connections....just ideas...but I love ur vids man keep em coming and unhook everything and start over
I don't know much when it comes to audio in vechicles but what i would try is get a second smaller battery for only your subs and lightbar so the only power is going to the subwoofer and the lightbar instead of having to go to everything else
With your amp cutting out it could be a fue things. Check the voltage at the batt. Battery could be dropping/weak alt. Also make sure your ground is at a good sanded body/frame spot . also the ohm level that you have it set at could be a factor. That sub is no Less then 2ohm could be a 4 ohm. . upgrade your power/ground wires to a good 2 or 0 gauge wire . but if the amp isnt junk its most likely a wire/connection issue. Good Luck!!
The cruise control is on your horn fuse under the hood I have an 03 f150 and added an extra horn and when I have Cruze on and spam the horn it blows the horn fuse and that shuts down Cruze control
I also fixed my by bridging my amp i had 4 wires and i put all 4 wires in all the positive and negative things on the amp. You only have 2 speaker wires on each end on the amp. I fixed my literally a week ago it works great
Kenny can literally make fixing a truck entertaining what the hell

Get a separate battery just for the subs since you have 3 12’s 1 single battery and alternator cant produce that much power nor the amp can
That isnt the reason I have two 4000watt 12s on a 4000watt amp and no high amp alt or extra battery he only has like a 1000watt amp
I hace 2 15inch subwooffers and a huge ass amp and only i have one battery

Absulutly correct
You want to have a a lower ohms reading, That means less resistance and it will take less wattage to power the subs.
Lower resistance means more wattage.
FullThrottleLife too low of an ohm reading will
Cause the amp to protect, I bet he’s wired at .67 ohm right now. Luckily that amp isn’t blown
It’s your ground wire on the amp that is making it cut in and out
But he had 12v to the amp! He has to be running to low of ohm load or one sub is blown and starting to short out!
MrSoundQubed not short, it’s open. It means one of the amps resistors isn’t working properly. Probably running too many ohms through his system
Johnny Frost when subs and speaker blow the voice coil shorts out and causes the amp to go in protect!
Subs not blown amp did have good volts to it but the ground is lose so when bass hits it moves ground causing it to go in protect mode
Jacob Briard He is running to low of a ohm load to that amp!

Kenny just buy a new truck
Put the volt meter on you positive and negative battery terminal. Start the truck. Turn your radio up all the way until your subs start cutting out and monitor the voltmeter. Mojo risin. Congrats on 200k Kenny! Watching this vid made my Friday 100x better.
Ur hot wire needs fixed and how much power do u have running to u subs and maybe u have a wire crossed and do u have ur amp bridged or hooked up straight...if its bridged then in bridge it and turn ur bass up on the amp and possibly double check all ur connections....just ideas...but I love ur vids man keep em coming and unhook everything and start over
Great video Kenny!! Can’t wait for the next one!
I fixed my literally a week ago it works great
Love your videos brother showin love from Lawrenceburg Kentucky
