she held herself extremely well I would've crumbled under the pressure
I would've left and cried. So many props to her.
Well she’s a pilot, she calmed the storm, good Rachel. They care for their son which I get it but to be tough to a woman ( unfair treatment).
Tino signed up for the bachelorette, knowing what the show entails. His parents should have had this convo with him before he joined.
This!
Amen! Duh! I think Zach better match , but we'll see.
Rachel should take it in stride.
Right. I too cannot wrap my head around the many past fraudul ent guys. They have the fans believing they are on their season for the right reasons to find Love without bringing along unresolved relationships drama
Some appear too or don't care if a female gets blindsided and hurt from some that are being dishonest knowing all along they are withholding pertinent information which most likely would eliminate the wrong person and keep a more appropriate honest guy. Yet those guys intentionally accept roses anyway dishonestly while knowing good and well they have withheld pertinent information from the bachelorette because if she would have known during the beginning of the season her decision about some guys would've changed by elimination during the first few weeks. Prime example Jebb with Hannah. He was the real reason she did not find her true person with the possibility of 💕 Love engagement to proceed to marriage.❤️💍.
Never to late to make the right decision.
Mom: “this is not real”
Rachel: “well it is..”
😂
I was cringing watching this, it’s clear that tino’s parents do not like Rachel or this whole process. It’s 100% understandable to be skeptical of your son getting married to a woman he met in 2 months.
I see red flags 🚩 Both from Tino when he described their journey as a competition until now, “cool” that he got the first rose, and that he wants the rest of the men striked out one by one.
And then the grilling and negativity towards her.
Run Rachel run 🏃♀️
Actions carry more than words do. His choice of words may have you thinking so way but I think his energy and the way he looks at her depicts a totally different story. I think they’re great together.
Also gaslighting her by saying “my family loved you” with a straight face after they had put her through that. Manipulative as hell for throwing the word “love” out right after as a Hail Mary bc meeting the family went so horrifically bad.
He knew exactly how to manipulate her enough to reel her back in with the L word. 🚩🚩🚩
@@lolacookie453 yes! Thought I was the only one who saw this! Yikes
Yaaaaaasssssssss. Common sense right here 🙏 thank🙏 you 🙏
@@lolacookie453 yes! That was the first thing I noticed! He gaslighted a VERY HUGE RED FLAG. So manipulative right there
Tino's family is real. The mom was a little bit abrasive but not everyone believes in the 6 weeks to engagement process.
Ok then they should’ve talked to their son about it not attack Rachel
The parents should worry about their own marriage rather than trying to control
Tinos who is an adult and can make his own decisions. Being loved even for a short time is a blessing. Parenrs look miserable.
That’s the premise of the show. If they had a problem with it, they should’ve spoken with Tino before he went on
the problem i have is that tino voluntarily went on the show so they should understand that point, the parents should be optimistic, and discovery their intentions and their feelings, and if they believe it, i really don't think it has to do with 6 weeks or 6 months, and yes of course one can make a connection quickly just like one can make a disconnection quickly
@@milwaukeemotor5995 There's such a low success rate for couples to stay together even a few months after the show.. I think they were just being realistic. Feels like they were just looking at it from a different angle.
These people spend a total of three hours of alone time together...and then get engaged...?
Yeah, the dad is the sane one in this conversation.
Wow, this was intense...As a parent I understand where Tino's parents are coming from. They are just looking out for their son. I do think that they (particularly the dad) could have addressed it with more sensitivity towards Rachel though. I mean Rachel has been on the other side. She's been in Tino's shoes. And I will say that how respectfully she responded to his parents when they were challenging her speaks volumes of her. She handled them with grace even when she looked like she was about to cry...I also don't think it's fair to call what they are going through a fairy tale. I mean Rachel went through hell on Clayton's season. Then she' making history sharing the lead with another Bachelorette, which as we've seen had been a struggle for both girls. While there are things I don't like about Rachel, I applaud her and Gabby for how they handled this challenge together.
Their son did sign up for this show.
Well parents have point. Also she already telling 2 men she in love she acting like Clayton from previous show
My mother was like Tino’s dad. Really intense. Somehow my SO handled it with grace. Yeah, Tino’s dad should have handled it differently. I do understand why the dad is being protective/realistic. Tino is a man and should be trusted to make his own decisions because it’s Tino’s life, not anyone else’s.
Yeah but his dad had a reason to be skeptical. They get engaged and a few months later are now broken up and don’t speak. I mean they both dodge a bullet. Only time tells & for them it has spoken
Tino was sweating 😬 he held his ground. It’s his decision-period. He can make his own choices and mistakes, he’s a big boy. But imagine being Rachael and having them as in laws, ooof.
I’d run like the wind if I was her. They seem to be the type of in laws that would constantly be trying to butt in and trying to override their decisions.
Tino is 28. It isn’t his Mom’s responsibility to mend his broken heart or plan his wedding. Cut the cord.
It's her son. Just cos your parents are diff doesn't mean a mother can't be there for her son when he needs her. 🙄
It’s giving monster in law
So true! Why do parents think their grown up childrens well-being is their responsibility? Let go
@@ThereseDavidson Regardless of age or how independent one becomes, U can never completely outgrow ur parents and you will always need each other in life 🤷🏽♀️
AMEN!!!!!!!! Straight facts
These are legitimate questions from the parents and it makes total sense why those questions will be asked especially with such a rushed commitment.
He full on lied to her face when it obviously went horrible. The parents don’t seem happy or close. And just very controlling. 😬
People dont take marriage seriously anymore, the parents were right to ask questions and get real
I just feel like at some point his parents stopped listening. They were just asking questions and had decided that no answer was acceptable. I’m not judging them for being skeptical I just they were just close minded from the start.
Perfect summary 👌
The questions are fair and accurate. But on the flip side, these dudes know all about this show and the process when they sign up for it, and so should the parents/family know the process as well. I agree with them that it is fast for a possible engagement, but once the show is over, the couple can take all the time they want as a couple before a marriage (don't need to rush it once the season is over). JoJo and her fiance had a five year engagement, and by not rushing into it did it right.
Exactly! 🎉Jojo waited 5 years to marry Jordan. They took their time. And their families supported them. ‼️
This was so uncomfortable to watch. This is a conversation Tino should of had beforehand with them about the whole situation, for them to hit her with all the questions like his grown son didn’t know what he was getting himself into was WEIRD. He’s grown. They either support it or they don’t but the way the portrait their message shows how toxic they can be towards their son. They could of addressed the situation better but instead it sounded like they were talking to their 16 year old son. This was not ok.
AND when Tino lied to her and told her they “adored her” it really showed the type of person he is and how he’s so used to his parents behavior he has to lie for them. OMG she should RUN. Not to mention how quick he was to tell her he loved her so SHE wouldn’t run. Yikes lol
Yeah he let his parents take the lead if my parents tried this with me oh please
I mean the show is based on whirlwind romance, people who barely know each other get engaged, and 90% of them break up before the altar, and yet Tino has to pretend this is going to work out.
His parents probably thought he would never make it this far in the show. It is Absolutely insane. This show. They really make marriage look like nothing these days when in reality marriage is a very big deal. There was nothing wrong with his parents questions. They were normal and valid. I think the same thing every time I watch these shows.
His dads comment about Clayton and his son being a second mistake ! What ?!!
I can certainly appreciate the skepticism of both Tino’s parents. They asked some really good questions and if they felt that if “you love someone you will know how to answer the tough questions” versus giving a very generalized response or folding. Bravo parents!
Tinos parents were way out of line. He was not 21. If I was Rachel I wouldn't of been so nice. Didn't matter how nice or good of answer she gave his dad didn't like it. She's not going to be with his dad.. his just git a complex. Gross
totally agree it’s about tino’s and rachel connection at the end of day. anyone can marry someone they dated for 5 years and still end up divorced so i don’t get all this is moving to fast skepticism. like actually try to get to know rachel instead of worrying about the process lol
@@promita97 they didn't even say hi. So glad my son sees nice things in you.. Nooo..she might as well had 2 heads and Tino wasn't very reassuring either
We can’t really blame them for feeling this way. Like his mom said, in 2 weeks she’s either going to be mending a broken heart or planning a wedding. It doesn’t mean they don’t support their son. It means they care about their son. And we should all remember that Rachel was nervous to bring Clayton home to meet her dad just sayin.
Red flags. Rachael needs to be careful. You want the whole family on your side.
As someone who personally knows Tino’s parents, they’re actually the sweetest people ever. What you’re seeing is just a part from a reality show, a part that shows their genuine valid concerns. So please remember these are actual people who you don’t know much about before you comment negative remarks about them.
That’s fine and all but they grilled Rachel to the point of sheer embarrassment on tv. When they should have grilled their SON before he went ON the bachelorette if they felt so strongly about the show. 🤦♀️
Now we know they were right. Rachel and Tino weren’t a good match.
@@rachelriegel7491 You're spot on
@@rachelriegel7491, Exactly! Thank you. They are supposedly concerned about the horse 🐎 after it left the barn. SMH
I would not want to be apart of that family, poor Tino. Rachel run! They seem like they would dictate his marriage. Dad boundries please!
I wish his parents had expressed their concerns in a more respectful way and that they had been more welcoming to Rachel.
As someone who experienced something similar when meeting my future father in law, I can empathize with Rachel. I wasn’t asked hard questions but told passive aggressive comments. Thankfully my fiancé told his dad, in front of his whole family, to knock it off. He then had a discussion with his dad telling him that he would have to respect. Hope tino has a discussion with his dad.
They weren’t disrespectful but if their son signed up hello - already done ! He’s not 5
If Rachel ends up with Tino honestly good luck to her
I wanted to give Rachel a hug. I felt so bad for her.
It's like going on a job interview, you have to be able to handle the tough questions. Only instead of your future boss it's the in-in-laws.
10 week courtship, married for 33 years now.
When you know, you know.
😍🥰😍🥰
These parents were not nice and very rude. It is their sons choice not theres. Very disrespectful and nasty. Tino is not a child. Ugh...
Run Rachel Run !
She’s too chubby. She’d have to bounce.
So happy Tino’s parents added a generous helping of reality to the home visit. Marriage is a HUGE undertaking even with someone perfectly matched with ample time to prove it. I hope if Tino and Rachel stay together, they are very happy and I applaud Tino’s parents for caring so deeply about their son’s future.
Agreed with you 💯
Yes. I agree. They care about their son. I don't feel they were rude to her.
I absolutely liked this. These are wonderful parents and why should they be any different questioning a bachelorette as they do the male bachelors? I think they also had a good sense, she might be sweet but comes across disingenuous in her answers. (Like stating that he is soooo positive is such a general way to describe his traits...)
While they clearly care about their son’s best interests and take marriage seriously which they should, they were incredibly aloof and cold toward this poised young woman who came into their home. They could have handled things far more graciously.
@@kristaselene The "poised young woman" who is telling them she wants to marry their son and be with him forever could maybe come up with a more poised or deep answer to their questions about why she feels that way about him than "omg he's so positive like he donates blood and when I heard that I was like wow!"...
To his parents, why do you think Tino decided to still sign up for this type of show knowing the type of people you are and having such a poor opinion about it? Hmmmm
EXACTLY. Tino is clearly trying to get away but they won’t let him 😫
I must admit i completely understand where Tino's parents are coming from and where they're hearts are at. Good parents look out for their kids above all else. Rachel honey, I believe if there were really something deeper beyond the show. Regardless of how the parents are she would have been able to show that love for Tino and it would have been obvious to even the parents. The fact that she gave the exact same response to both parents and couldn't even describe Tino in her own ways was just disappointing to watch. I believe the parents are very valid and Tino does need to think with his head and not so much with his heart. At the end of the day if this all doesn't go well he's going home to his parents heartbroken.
A question. Do some of their parents even know what this show is? They seem so shocked. Their kids never explained how the show works? 😁 where is their support for the choice their kids made by trying this show? Why always so sceptical. Just let them try dating this way, at least this show sort of forces deep conversations out of contestants quickly. This also answers the question of ''How can you form a deep connection in such short time?" It doesn't really matter how much time you spend together. It's about quality, not quantity. There's people in relationships for years and they don't connect on such deep level perhaps, but you can meet someone and know them for just few weeks and already FEEL that strong connection. I believe it's more than just spending time together. With some people chemistry can be instantly, with some - delayed, and with others - none at all.
THIS IS ACTUALLY GREAT PARENTING!!!!!!!

a relationship requires effort, time, committment, but it all starts with a decision first
“I genuinely like almost cried” of course you did Rachel 🥴
There is a way to handle that parents but not like this. Rachel is someone else’s daughter too welcome her get to know her then save your smirks for private time. Don’t make an a hole out of your home. Rachel was lovely and handled it elegantly.
his dad had a reason to be skeptical. They get engaged and a few months later are now broken up and don’t speak. I mean they both dodge a bullet. Only time tells & for them it has spoken
These are very caring, loving and intelligent parents. They have the courage to say the thins that any other parent would want to know. Well done for them!👏👏👏
ok people, remember how hard Catherine's family was on Sean Lowe and the whole thing? And look where those 2 are now, married with 3 kids. You know the producers love all this drama and even egg it on.
*WHEN PEOPLE SHOW YOU WHO THEY ARE, BELIEVE THEM!!*
For him to have the audacity to tell her-
“they adored her”..says alot about him.
In my opinion, he has showed who he is from the beginning.
I mean I agree with their concerns 100%. But won’t I don’t agree with, is how incredibly rude & disrespectful they were!
I think they’re miserable people.
Thank you!! Yup!!!!!
They were not rude nor were they disrespectful. Those questions are all valid points.
I agree. And Tino has not shown his true self during the show. I think he has been leading her on.
Rachel described Tino as humble.
Well he showed the opposite to the camera when he did not get the first rose right hometowns. He seemed calculated and expressed to the camera he wanted to get rid of the others one by one…. - A humble person doesn’t do that.
He seems to be love bombing Rachel, aggressive towards the other guys, and at home he seems like he did not have a loving caring upbringing.
I think toxicity and some narcissistic traits run in this family, and Tino is no exception.
Run Rachel run.
Certain women like a-holes like certain men like crazy
I think it’s very likely that after they both talked to Rachel, they talked to Tino and said, “look, we adore Rachel. If you are going to choose someone on a show like this to date, we can see why you like her. And we do too. But time will tell. Good luck”
There have been many skeptical parents before (I didn’t think they were rude), and usually they show this ending conversation. They didn’t show us it, but it doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.
People would sum it up as, “In tbe end, they told their son they like Rachel and respect his decision”
We have to remember that it’s edited. So, all they had to do was not include that, IF it happened. It could have not happened. But there’s a chance that they told Tino they adored Rachel 🤷♀️
He could also be a bad guy. But I had to mention that this is heavily edited.
I do like seeing a father of a son do to a woman what they normally do to a guy. He really grilled her and let her have it. Usually dads only show up when it's their daughter going out with someone.
I feel so bad for Tino, to be put on the spot like that my his dad just feels so uncomfortable. I think Rachel handled herself really well, way better then I could've
I’m good with how the dad handled it. I see nothing wrong with him questioning the process.
I would have started crying if I was Rachel lol
Me too, they were so mean and they have had lots of time together! He hurt her feelings!
Your both weak.
There are lots of broken relationships no matter how in love they are. So Tino dad shouldn’t have been so humiliating to her. She’s trying to be loved. Sorry if Tino get eliminated. Good luck Rachel
She's trying to be loved. That is the stupidest thing to say. His parents questions are valid and honestly what I think every time I watch this show
HOW DID SHE NOT CRY omg
Aunt Lindsey would fit right in with this family! Rachel did a great job.
@mimi I agree not as bad as aunt Lindsey but definitely had similar vibes and just that interrogating energy. “This is your second go around.”
🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
I can already tell mother/father in laws from hell lmao
I like him. I hope he makes a good decision in the right decision with her I can understand where his parents are coming from.
Tino is shady AF and a walking red flag since the start and now I see where the toxicity originated from. He is manipulative AF.
Run Rachel and never look back
Wow I think his family may have just ruined this for him ! Nice job mom & dad!!!
Rachel needs to feel comfortable , and accepted with his family too and sorry but if she’s not feeling that then it will never work out bc of “his family” they totally will grill the next girl he meets so good luck with that tino” Rachel hang in there other families are happy to meet you !!
His parents look bitter as hell. Some parents who are like this can’t stand to see their children happy and have to drag them down to their miserable level with them.
Absolutely not true. These are responsible parents that care deeply for their son. Get a grip.
a connection can be made instantaneously
Honestly as brutal as this is, I can't blame his parents for being like this. They don't want him to be hurt. I know my parents would want to do the same. I know Rachel's Dad would feel the exact same way.
They're just being honest and want to protect their son and I can't blame them.
@@phoenixflames9042 🎯👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
90 percent of the relationships from this franchise don’t work out so it’s understandable
Their son is an adult. The dad was especially condescending when Tino talked about proposing to Rachel. You don’t laugh when your kid tells you they want to marry someone. It sends the message that Tino is incapable of making his own decisions and that he needs his parents to make decisions for him. They clearly don’t trust his judgment at all which says more about them than it does him. They could have brought up their concerns in a much less judgmental way. At the end of the day, he’s grown ands it’s his life. They can voice their concerns but they should realize that it’s Tino’s choice in the end and that he doesn’t have to take their advice. If he ends up making a mistake, at least he’ll learn from it. That’s what life is about.
@@nataliec1964 Well said.
Both parents are insensitive and cruel. Why did you not have this talk with your son before he got on the show? Poor Rachel had to deal with their negativity. I hope they regret being this brutal.
I got a roll of bubble wrap for ya
Not their decision. How about trust your son to make his own decisions and let him live his life.
They were needlessly cruel.
It’s one thing to pull him aside and say “I’m happy for you but I do have a few concerns that you might want to consider”. They were being way too abrasive about it and acting as if their son doesn’t have the capacity to make his own choices which is very condescending considering he’s an adult. They could have voiced their concerns while still showing him that they trust his judgement and that they understand it’s his decision either way. They were treating him like a child.
I doubt they expected their son to make it this far into the competition.
you can meet the right person anywhere anytime, not saying they're a match, but dislike their attitude towards love in general and especially over 2 independent adults
at the end of the day they arent the ones in the relationship, they should trust their son more
Tino's parents are right. they kept it real. They basically called out the show's premise and the way it works. Yes, it's reality TV and most dialogue is controlled by the directors and producers. Seems to me like Tino's parents did not listen to them one bit and were brutally honest. Tino was sweating bullets and Rachel was dumbfounded.
Very bad and unwise interruption. They didn't help at all, only brought their son's heart to breaking.
Very small chance the relationship will work out but it’s possible
Exactly! Parents were like we are not sugarcoating ANYthing 😅
His mom Looks like Aileen Wuornos.
This wasn’t that bad. At all. I had listened to some recaps and will watch the whole episode later. But, I didn’t find them that rude. Rachel will just have to show them through time, if she ends up with Tino.
I don't understand why people are shocked by this. These are his parents, and they don't want him to get hurt. My parents were the exact same way when I told them my fiance and I were engaged, and we've been together for 10 years. Yes, it was harsh, but it's reality.
Parents make real sense in this crazy situation. Tap the brakes before you crash is all they are saying.
It’s so hard to enter a family that doesn’t support your relationship. I wish parents would realize this. Your child will resent you for this.
They look bitter and abrasive. Mom said “she’s planning a wedding or mending a broken heart” 😬… yikes. Monster in law vibes. Tino isnt a child, he will mend his own broken heart 😂
@mimi yep, it’s difficult to see that much empathy for Rachel’s situation. I see many narcissistic traits in this family
It not that they don't support it but that this show is Absolutely insane and his parents are asking the real questions that all parents should be asking
@@CATSWITHKYLA sure. But the way they ask the questions are horrible. There are tons of ways they could ask these questions to Rachel without making it a tough interrogation…
@mimi I couldnt agree more about Tino being immature. His way of handling it was a little immature he just kept cracking jokes. Then when Rachel told her his parents were really hard on her he basically ignored her concerns and just said oh they adore you and then started telling her he was falling so she would stop talking about his parents!

red flags as in laws and grandparents , they will want to control everything,
there are people who were in a committed exclusive relationship for 2 years, 3 years, and then broke off - a reasonable amount of time, i understand his points, but more time doesn't always provide clarity or security

it is real, but the circumstances are different, but still real, yes, they still have a lot to discover outside the show, but how many dates have you been on in regular circumstances where it didn't work, and you knew it immediately, it's really about the intentions, and seriousness and decisiveness of the 2 people involved
Realistically if you went home with a man/woman after just a few times dating them and you told your parents you were going to get married, they would have the exact same if not worse reaction. Yeah, I get it’s the point of the show, but parents don’t give af about shows. It’s their child’s life
I’m sorry and I know people would disagree wit me on this ….but I agree wit Tino’s dad , because 5 weeks isn’t enough to get to know someone by getting engaged ….. Maybe the way tino’s family came at Rachel was a bit wrong but I do understand why they were so hard on Rachel …. I don’t think people realize that marriage is a big step and I really think tino’s family really want the best for him …… not to mention I strongly believe this whole season was rushed … I can’t even believe it’s already hometowns
