Aviumtechnologies Panel Method v1.0.9 Overview | Unstructured Panel Method

The Aviumtechnologies Panel Method is a low-order, unstructured panel method capable of predicting the potential flow around arbitrary bodies. Although panel methods predate finite-volume ones, they are still used during the concept and preliminary stages of aircraft design. The main advantage of using panel methods is the speed up during the initial design iterations. Although not accounting for the viscous effects, panel methods can reasonably predict the aerodynamic loads arising from pressure. The designer can determine whether the design is feasible in terms of performance and stability during the early design stages.
