Thoroughly enjoyable podcast, thank you for the mostly thorough session. If I may, I have one reservation though. Juliette mentioned that bringing more renewables online wouild filter down into cheaper energy prices for consumers. Yet how can this be the case when the consumer electricity price is based on the wholesale gas price, not how cheap electricity is from renewables? I had really hoped to hear that Energy UK was applying its abilities into getting government to decouple gas from electricity, so we can actually feel the price benefit from renewables. She proudly proclaimed that wind was the predominant provider of electricity last year, not gas. Alas this rather vital issue was not touched on. According to Greg Jackson, this is the most important issue facing future electricity prices for consumers. Surely then it must be right up there on Energy UK's priority list? If I am wrong then I am sure lots of commenters will wade in and correct me.
Jules is the ultimate propeller head!!! Thank you for an interesting interview!
