Evening bro 🤠 . Thanks for the heads up, that's crazy 🙃 . About 2 weeks ago my friend and I how to run into Palatka in my 02' GMC Envoy. He decided to show me a shortcut everyone around here calls 9 mile aka: the old Gainesville Highway that everyone used until the new highway was built. Now it's basically an abandoned road that runs from Interlachen straight through Palatka all the way to Gainesville. The majority of the road is sand and it's pretty heavily wooded and only used by the folks that have property and live along it. On our way to Palatka we found 4 or 5 spots that were washed out. Each spot was about 20 yards across and was about 16" deep with a gooey Sandy Bottom and the envoy ate it up like it was nothing in 4High 🙃 . Ffwd until 2 days ago my friend and his wife took the same route to Palatka in his 01' mid sized Dakota sport & he found out the washed out area has gotten considerably bigger and it's now 200 yards across in the hood of his Dakota went completely underwater for a second while he was trying to cross it and he had to hammer the throttle to get the nose up quick before he sucked up a bunch of water and hydro locked the engine And he almost submarined the truck and had water leaking in the doors by the time he shot out the other side of it . Needless to say he took the new highway home 🤣 ..
