This is so true. My parents want to know why I'm acting so sketchy. Or why it took me 20 minutes to get home from work today instead of my usual 10. Because I got a speeding ticket. I am utterly terrified to tell them. Because every time I think I can soften the blow, somehow I made things twenty times worse. I mean, I can't even use the fact that my Dad gets three speeding tickets a year. Because obviously "This isn't about your father!". I've laid aside the court costs. It took me liquidating an entire paycheck. I just have to plan it out. I can quietly get an extension on work without telling them "Haha, your model employee landed her stupid ass in court" and lie to my parents to tell them I got scheduled from 9 to whatever. No one has to know. It's my first. I can get it talked down to SOMETHING, right? I mean it's only my first. I've never even occurred a warning! I knew I should I have made myself cry to the cop. He might have given me a warning. Even if I was going 15 over (I didn't realize that the 35mph extended past the apartments. I don't take that road EVER). I'm going to vomit again
I don't know if they find out yet, but I have some good advice for you. Tell them that it is your responsibility and they don't have to ALWAYS worry about you. You can take care of yourself. Tell them also that they can't always be there for you, and you know when to take the unexpected part of the real world. If they can't accept that, they are only thinking about themselves instead of accepting that you can take care of yourself even if they are your parents. And since apparently you have your own job, they don't have to hold paying for your actions over you. I went through my first experience on the road recently that I hit the rear left side of a car that I almost completely avoided hit despite my best efforts to not hit the car. I told my parents and I know how it feels when that confrontation comes, but trust me, I felt incredibly guilty about that incident even if the guy came out and didn't call the police or charged. I can't express how much I felt guilty over that. I am not trying to compare my experience with yours, but I hope that I helped you in some way. And remember, nobody is perfect.

Yeah i thought that was brilliant writing "people in bell air don't have real concerns?" and then those 2 walk by in the background discussing how to spell a luxury car and a luxury vacation destination. xD
This is actually a very interesting argument because I've lived both sides. I grew up from kindergarten through 7th grade attending the same private school and living a very sheltered life away from the inner city. But from 8th grade on, I was pulled from the private school life and thrown right into the inner city public school system where I immediately noticed a DRASTIC difference. I didn't fit in at all. Kids acted and spoke differently and I quickly realized how badly I didn't know anything about living outside of the protective bubble I was raised in. But in hindsight looking back on it 20 years later, I wouldn't have had it any other way. At my youngest age in the private school life, I was taught good morals and ethics and how to determine right from wrong. And it was that mindset that caused me not to fall into bad circles when I transferred into the public school in my teenage years. But it was the public school system that taught me how to get along in the real world outside of the sheltered life.

Having studied German myself? Hillary's pronunciation is correct. The e is stressed. It's not silent. So it is essentially "por-shuh" as far as pronunciation. Just like Volkswagen is actually pronounced Folks-vah-gen. W's are pronounced as like English v's, and V's are like English f's.
