The new cab engine has completely changed the game. I have been able to remove a lot of extra eq's previously needed. It really does speak highly to Line 6's commitment to customer service to still be providing that level of support and innovation for a product as long-lived as the Helix line.
Totally agree. The commitment to improvements and CS make me stick with L6. In regards to 3.5, I’m a huge fan of the new Dynamic Ambience block. Im replacing the room verbs with it in all my patches. Makes a dramatic difference for me!
Agree!
It feels like it should have sounded like this from day one. No fiddling with extra eq etc.Amazing.
This looks like the next gen of Helix is around the corner.
100%. I’m very excited to see where L6 goes with their approach to the tech moving forward!
Enjoy your new Helix Rack. Hope you create some awesome patches for your gigs (and to share with the Helix community)
great video and playing as always!
Thanks so much. Love your videos and hope to have mine be as pro as yours!
So do you need a power conditioner to use it entirely? Or is the helix rack unit itself gonna work with a orange super crush 100 and 2 4x12s? I have a pod go and I love it but this would be my first helix
You don't need a power conditioner (which is to regulate voltage/clean up EMI and RFI) but if you plan to use just the cab, you'll need a power amplifier. You can also run the Helix into the effects loop of the Super Crush (to use its power amp, bypassing its preamp) or in 4 cable method to use the SC's preamp.
@Nathan Whitney that's generally my idea, to use the two cabinets with my super crush AND run the helix into return of the FX loop. Thanks I appreciate the tip, I'm trying to make sure I don't over expand on the helix case and get one fitted for just that
@@blakeoms try running the PodGo to the SC effect loop to see if you like the tones you're getting. Try with the gear you have, before you buy, right? 😆
@Nathan Whitney haha yeah exactly what I'm doing right now, I learned if you use the preamp of the model being used in the pod go into the return of the FX it gives it even more clarity, I love my pod go I have no bad things to say about it lol
