Marshall Fogel is the “Finest Known Example” of what a true collector is, and what we all aspire to attain. A legit inspiration that brings the hobby back to life.
I could watch these episodes with marshall forever. There is just so much history that this man knows. It fascinates me to hear the history behind certain pieces, or to see an incredible piece of baseball history
Love love the ending of Marshals playing the flamenco like guitar ! What an interesting individual! He should open a museum with this unique collection to make sure that it’s available to the world before he dies and his inheritance sell off the collection..!
Thanks to Marshal for sharing his wisdom with us, and letting us get a glimpse of the amazing pieces in his collection. I feel like I could spend a lifetime looking at everything he has, and hearing the stories related to each piece.
We must protect marshal at all cost! This man is an old school guy with mentality that is imaculate with baseball memorbilia. Thanks for sharing this ! Love to see almost antique collections!
Great to see more of the Fogel collection again. When you have a guy who has collected this long, his knowledge is invaluable and his collection is priceless! Well done Geoff on the interview and look forward to more videos.
It's so good to see " Louisville Slugger" on those classic bat's. I'm from Louisville so I'm proud of my city being a huge part of baseball history. If u haven't been to the Louisville Slugger Museum, you have to bring the family for a wonderful tour. The best part is, you and the family get mini bat's to take home. How great is that!!
98th LIKE here !! Marshall is truly an amazing gentleman!! It must be such an amazing feeling to sift through his collection Worth so much, like its just another card to him!! A true collector !! Well done Geoff as always!
An absolutely jaw-dropping, mind boggling, mesmerizing, colossal, stratospheric collection, nearly cosmic in un-attainability, inspiring and utterly EPIC in every way! So perfect it's an island of perfection, among perfection itself!? Does some of this not even make sense? It CAN'T, because the English language can't even contain this collection!! 🤯 It's beyond time & space! Reality bending, time warping, beam-me-up-Scotty, galactic paradigm shifting paradoxical quantum impossibility of sublime proportions! 😮
I can't think of anyone other than Geoff to interview this man. Too many $ chasers out there while Geoff respects the history, while keeping things modern. Kudos to this channel
I have been collecting autographs from my favorite athlete for a few years now. The best thing I've learned was to build a database of known autographs to use to compare when potentially buying a new one. This is pretty much what authentication companies do. I have a huge folder full of known autos, categorized by items the athlete has autographed over the years. I also have a folder full of fakes which helps me to really see what common mistakes forgers make. The other thing that is super important is the proper display of your valuable memorabilia. UV-protected glass and keeping direct sun out of your display room is important for preservation.
Marshall was a work comp claimant attorney with a great reputation. I had many cases against him and now have many vs his son and both are honorable attorneys. He and fellow collector, the late Barrie Sullivan of Denver were inspirational to all of us in their quest for the best memorabilia. The Mantle 10 is likely the most valuable card on the planet.
He collected cards as a kid but the vast majority of his collection wasn't purchased until the late 1980's and beyond. He was an attorney, but I always wondered if he was an early Microsoft investor or hit it big with other stocks or just came from a wealthy family to have had millions to invest in the 1990's. Either way, he certainly timed his card buying right
So he really don't know those balls are real of not , that's that ,he has two guys words plus his that none of them saw him sign it ,or have a picture of him signing it.

I wonder if he has a book on his knowledge and collection? Gotta google it.

Exactly......very interesting
When you buy a throne chair like that it's a legal requirement to have a boss collection.
Haha. And the chair I was sitting it was Lou Gehrig’s personal chair. Amazing!
That guy is awesome! He seems to be the right person to own all of that stuff! A real collector
Couldn't agree more. Right man for the job!
Yeah Guys like Jeff ruin things and don't deserve these type of interviews, but money talks.
Nolan Ryan was my childhood hero and my all time favorite player. Love that glove.
I wish this guy was my grandfather. What a hobby and passion it would have been to share with him! Amazing!
That Marshal guy is a character! That mans collection looks astounding. Cant wait for the next few episodes.

Marshals knowledge of his collection of what he collects is impressive to say the least. It is great to hear the story behind his collection.

This man is a legend. There should be a movie made of his life as a collector. Im sure he has a library of stories.

He’s a legend.
Wow what a collection
God bless this man❤

Great video wish I had there kinda money to be able to collect like that but I'm still happy with my little collection that just keeps building
shame he doesn't have that 1952 Topps case from all those PSA10 cards from? Or does he have that case? The Mr. Mint case
I seen that Gretzky stick. Trying to me sneaky hey😉
A card guy that is a professor in cards , meets a guy who is a professor at memorabilia! 😮

For an odd piece:How about the bat Jamie Moyer used to hit his second and last sacrifice fly of his career,22 years after his first one?
This is amazing
This guy is Legend!
Marshall too
My LCS does not have slabs. I'm like, WHAT? Everyone of us want 1/1 millionth what that guy has. Amazing. I mean that dude has a freaking throne!
Fella is a national treasure 😮
That’s awesome 😎
awesome video
Coincidentally enough I was literally just watching the first video about this.
Gracias por compartir👍🏻
If I saw that old man on a street corner, I would feel compelled to give him a couple dollars😂
So if I wanted to have my 1905 Christy Mathews graded, would I mail it in, or does PSA come to my house and grade it?
I’d probably drop it off in person to PSA at a show or their headquarters
I'd be interested to know what, if anything, Marshall is working to collect now...
I’d like to know what’s the one piece he regrets not buying the most
Gotta be Zion Base Prizm Rookie PSA 10.
@@johnpawlowski2141 hahaha.. I didn’t see any of those in his collection :)
My buddy Marshall Fogel is the G.O.A.T.
The OG gangster of sports memorabilia.
I only make like $4,000 a month lmao I can only afford psa 4-6 for anything pre 1969 but I love the hobby I love vintage and I love the history
Love your videos
Lmao that velvet throne 😂
@ᴛᴇxᴛ ᴍᴇ ᴏɴ ᴛᴇʟᴇɢʀᴀᴍ👉@Sports_Card_Investor lol you guys are still doing this 😂
The chair I was sitting in was Lou Gehrig’s personal chair!
@@SportsCardInvestor that is awesome!!
GOAT 🐐
How did you find this guy, I wish he was my grandpa
Tremendous
I love this dude... Not Geoff as much from some things I've been hearing but definitely trying.
How many are trimmed by Mathis and the squad?
Finally a great video that’s not talking about a Lebron card
Are signed cards considered memorabilia?
He splashes slabs like they are poker chips
Was good
🐐
Wow
Let's go
How to build a collection like this? #1. Have MILLIONS of dollars.
@@DanielMartinez-nv5gb lmao. Takes a bow.
Probably Billions
Be at the right spot at the right time with the right amount of crazy
Very nice someone that doesn't Work for PSA 🤣😉
Nice to be rich.
all trimmed
❤❤
what did Marshall Fogel do for a living?
I believe he was or is an attorney
@@davieboy8975 thanks. no wonder he has tons of disposable income
I don't think anyone's collection can come close to Marshall's. I don't thing anyone has the stories/storytelling anywhere near Marshall's either.
@Sports_Card_Investor-. f u.
Tell me how much money he has in the bank and I can tell you how he got this amazing collection.
Fith
They Hate on Geoff But they can’t produce great content like this … just complaining in there spare bedrooms
just money
How did this guy make his millions? I dont think its physically possible for those baseballs to be so white.
So he really don't know those balls are real of not , that's that ,he has two guys words plus his that none of them saw him sign it ,or have a picture of him signing it.
They’re all authenticated by experts
