The water doesn’t mix!!! Meeting of the Waters- Rio Negro & Rio Solimões/Amazon River

(Amigos brasileiros, sinto muito pela minha má pronúncia de “Solimões”!)
The meeting of the waters (Encontro das Águas) in Manaus, Amazonas, Brazil. The dark Rio Negro meets with the light brown Rio Solimões to form the main Amazon river. The waters do not mix! It stays like this with a sharp line between the two different water sources for several miles down river. Amazing.
