Sorry, but there is no reason - life is simply a series of random events. All you can do is hope that it goes reasonably well - don't expect too much. I'm 64 and suffered anxiety badly when I was 40-50. I'm out of it now...for now!

This song hits in ways unexplainable. I was stuck in a business that was torturing me. I was hemorrhaging money and working over 75 hours a week like a madman. I’d play this song in the last 6 weeks really getting in on the words.
Then, it happened, I got out and my life has been so rewarding since.

After 3 years of suffering of anxiety and mild depression I found this song and cried really fucking bad, because I couldn't believe I would identify so much with a song. A few months after, an angel, a lovely girl appeared in my life and filled me with so much love and affection. After all, thanks god, for just giving me what I wanted.
Dont worry people, everything comes at one point, we just have have to handle the suffering the best we can, until that something arrives.

I'm sorry but that's nonsense. A song is a very nice diversion. Temporarily. But it's totally insufficient. Some of our lives are so hideous and cruel that even if they changed today it still couldn't make up for what we've been through. But still I keep hoping. Many of you do as well. If things improve then help another.

the only things that worked from me was sitting with my emotions. I do this an hour before sleeping and an hour upon waking. This allows me to accept reality and feel more and more comfortable in my body. Good luck :)

Today I brought to the vet my little angel. And I wouldn't ever wanted to know what she told me......... my little angel can't stay with me anymore. And in the car I heard this song.... I'm Italian so my English is not so good...but still.....I understood every single words.....they were digging into my heart.......and still I can't hear it without letting my tears out.... I used to listen to this song a lot back in a moment of my life when I was really sad and everything went the wrong way. Now that I'm way past beyond that and I feel much better I just wish I could help everyone who once has felt or currently feels like I used to do
This song has always been my favorite Smiths song. I used to think it was about a person out on their luck and just wishing for salvation but really listening to it its about a good thing finally happening, the spark of hope being lit in the person's heart hoping to fan the flames into something substantial. This song has flipped 180 for me in just seconds I used to be so sad when I listened to it but now it makes me feel really good. Its all the same chords and same lyrics but it just feels completely different. Incredible

As much as I wish this was a longer song… It’s truly so beautiful that they can fit so much pain, pain I’m currently feeling, into just two verses.
Songs like these touch my sore spots in my taste of music, nostalgic and wonderful!
Many of the great songs are simple. This is less than 2 minutes but Morrisey and Marr manage to create something which is beautiful , touching and achingly sad . Melodically and lyrically a masterpiece like much of the Smiths songs
