Yet the art exhibition in the last scene of the game is undoubtedly filled with Jack's work. His signature is even on the portrait of young Amber, as the elderly Amber views it with her living family. It almost appears to be a Memoriam exhibition, and so we can only assume that poor Jack passed away of some illness which is why Amber is so heartbroken. The painting of young Amber is a stark reminder of their old love and the chance that was lost when she moved to New York City. Now that Amber has her memories back though, she and Jack can be reunited in the afterlife.

Amber started her family when she was accepted in New York (meaning that she moved) until she grew old and saw the painting Jack painted. Jack died due to illness or old age. (What we saw through the window) Amber was tearful when she saw the painting. The brush was placed and the story ends.

My theory: young Jack had feelings for amber, but after hearing that she got accepted and just one step away from pursuing her dream he hid his feelings from amber and never got the chance to tell her, so he kept painting of their past memories just so he can feel does moments all over again.

The old lady was Amber looking at a picture Jack painted, she placed the paintbrush down to be "saying goodbye" to him (since she moved to NY before he died). We can also see his cause of death was illness (by the window scene). So yes, the painting represents 2 houses meaning their souls will never reach until the afterlife, then they can be reunited again.

As all great art does, each painting in Behind the Frame has some hidden meaning. All of them unravel some sort of memory of the Artist from her time together with J in their youth. All of them apart from the very first painting, the one the Artist believes will pave her way into a contract with a fancy New York gallery.

I know I'm late, but I think her and jack were in love, but she moved to New York,(temporarily?) and got in an accident, where she got amnesia. Since she didn't remember jack,or her past, she never came back home and even started a family of her own.She probably stayed there the rest of her life, while jack got old,and died, completely forgotten.Jack had not forgotten her though, and went on to pursue his art dreams, and then made an art museum. The game shows her journey of slowly recovering her memories, and in the end when she has her memories back, she sees the painting Jack made of her,remembers, and cries.

jack was amber friend, but i think jack loved amber. when amber moved to NK they stop talking i think and when amber grew older, her family went to a art exhibition and she saw jack art which it was her younger self and more art of when they were together and jack died of old age and amber got flash back of went they were together and the time yall were playing the game is maybe the flash back
The ending was that Amber had basically moved to New York City and has started a family and seen the painting of her young self with signature Jack. Jack has already passed away and Amber was very tearful that is why the story ends with a paintbrush with the name "Jack".

my theory is that jack and amber chose different paths in their lives and they didnt admit their feelings to eachother. time passes and old jack is still in love with amber so he makes paintings based off her. the young amber krew play as is the amber in jacks paintings. i guess she can see old jack even while behind the frame. she seems to have no memory of jack, not until she figures out the stories behind jacks paintings. i think old jack passes away and his paintings are in an exhibition now. old amber goes to that exhibition but with her own family now and she also remembers all the memories she had with jack through the paintings

The old man was painting the scene of older amber looking at the painting before! (With the two men behind her), I also notice that what Amber was painting in the beginning looked to be two houses (rather then back pack buckles) and both the roofs were red and yellow like the umbrellas, so I believe that what Amber was painting in the beginning was her and jacks apartments across from each other, and the man that lived across from her is older Jack painting their memories (since he wears hat just like younger Jack did) I’m not really sure what happened to Amber 😭 but I do believe she passed away at some point and came back as a goth now watching jack across the street paint their tragic memories day after dat

And also, I think that was the year 2020. Since the year grew and grew they started to get old. Year 2021. Jack is now a old man (flashback to me) so the day they met jack was older than him and I think jack was 18 years old, and amber was 16 years old, and back to 2021. he goes through all the paintings to see all the memories that he really love, Year Nov 2022 they are dead, and they saw the painting when amber was now 18 years old. that's another theory it's the opposite. I'm talking about the years they gone through.
in my eyes i believe amber had got accepted for new york, at the time she loved jack and jack loved her but she moved for new york and started a family there, he died from old age or an illness (which is what she saw thru the window) and at the end is where all of jacks paintings were shown based off of amber and their young love that was only a chance, she sees the painting of herself when she was young that jack painted and is reminded of what couldve been between them and all of their memories, the people shes with are her husband, her children, and her grandchild, in the end they were only a chance that was never taken

One rainy day Two ppl met they were a girl and a boy they rushed to find shelter, And both found a nearby coffee shop They introduce each other together the girl was named amber/the main character the boy was jack . They'd chat even when the sun came up
they went into the coffee shop after one month they got married and wanted to go to a spot were there's many beautiful flowers. Ambers painting got answer she left to new york when she came back she was pregnant she was about to tell jack till an email was sent to her that jack made a art museum for her and passed away soon after she had children and those ppl with her was Jack's mom/dad 😊😊
Amber left to NY. Left Jack behind. They were friends.
She had a family of her own. Jack died and his works were put out for the world to see.
That is why the houses were apart.
Many of the scenes were from 50 First Dates. Kind of silly, but a neat concept. She was trying to remember everything as she went through the art gallery.

I think both did love each other, but didn't admit to them.
When Amber finally got a chance to go pursue her dreams, Jack lets go of his feelings so Amber can pursue her dreams without being tied to. They remain friends.
As Jack got older he remembers the memories they shared together. So he made those paintings as they were a turning point in his life. Which would explain why painting Amber became self aware. The feeling were strong enough.
The old woman is Amber and they're going to Jack's exhibition, with her Daughter married to a boy and had a kid, aka the little girl (The end of the story)
Old Amber is crying because she wasn't around when her so called "boyfriend" got famous and found out when she came from the university? and as i said, Jack drew those paintings so he could remember the memories they shared.
When Amber came they did a lot of things together, then she had a daughter that maybe had the same story as her mother. The daughter married the man and they had a little Daughter who liked Art just like her Mom, Grandma and Grandfather. Amber is crying because she missed the part of the story, having so much work doing on New York that she forgot everything, but Young Amber reminded her everything.

Guys found something secretive in behind the frame! there’s a secret DLC if you click on Jack now you can play as jack and DLC! isn’t that cool? new colors.
But I won’t tell you what they are, because I don’t want to ruin the surprise. P S.S there’s also Ambers box, all the colors are in there is red purple yellow green and blue
I believe the old man was jack : theory , him and amber met near a coffee shop, she got accepted into a school but was later announced dead, Jack heard of the news and spent all of his time painting her (which is why when amber spoke to him he wouldn’t respond -she wasn’t alive) when the old man passed out he died of old age and his art peice was later seen in the art exhibit.
I almost cried to the beautiful story, Amber was truly a great painter. Krew made it so suspenseful and more exciting. My tummy was feeling scared, But in the end it was so amazing💘
For anyone wondering the theory I came up with was that amber had died and was stuck in a time loop slowly loosing her memory as jack grew old without her in the apartment across until one day he died too and they never saw each other again as amber finally remembered and passed on whilst jack goes threw the same thing she did until he can pass on.

“Behind the Frame” could be read as "a tale of loneliness", as the tragedy in Amber's relationship does become apparent early on. But that's revealed not to sadden us so much as to awaken us, to remind us that our memories must be cultivated and exercised as much as any craft or skill.

I think the old man was Jack and was making a painting of Amber, and he was dying cus he was old or sickness, and “his cat” is actually Amber’s cat and taking care of her cat, & then Amber saw him falling off his chair/dying (what was showed threw the window) so b4 he died he finished the painting of Amber, and thats how Jack died.. that’s what I think.

My theory:
Jack and Amber became close friends,
she got accepted and was on her way to New York,
then on her way to New York she died by the train crashing?
Jack hung up all her work in the exhibit.
He painted her, and her family saw the painting.
Jack grew old,
and when Ambers ghost visited, she forgot everything.
The story begans with Amber and art. Amber is a artist who loves to paint but in every puzzle come to a memory. the painting she saw on the old Jacks window was Ambers recreating all the art of Amber. As Amber face more challenges in her chapter she comes to a relization that she is no longer alive, as she came accross her past she remembers everything as the story continues they may get together in the afterlife.
This was my favorite krew vid it was on my birthday last year too!

My theory:
Jack is the old man, Amber is young but it's her memory. She doesn't remember him cause she has memory loss. She re-lived her life, remembered old memories and all her paintings were famous. She has a family but her husband died. In the end, she remembers her old lover and BOOM! Painting wasn't just her only memory but the time she spent with her old lover.

Here’s my personal thought: Amber had to move away for a job, she then moved in and set up her things she looked at her ph1one, she saw that jake had died, she cried after she red the whole message. She then made art of him and her, but she looked at window she saw a figure of jack, and it running towards her, Amber smiled and hugged the figure, then she jolted awake. She had forgot everything. She looked at her phone and the same message was there,
She then said: “please.. please tell my dream isn’t real!“

As she looked at her young self, she then remember the memories with Jack. So now she is also old but soon will be her passing and they will be reunited in the afterlife

I think Jack and Amber had feelings for eachother, and jack turned out to have an illness, so he made paintings of their memories. Then amber got accepted, so she went to New York and left Jack. Then Jack is older and dies from the illness cause in the scene he has that medical thing, and then is on the floor. So when older Amber visited the gallery, his art was displayed, and she remembered him from all of the paintings. she got teary remembering him, because he was dead, and she wasnt there to say goodbye to him, so it represents in the paintings how the red umbrella is amber up living with her family, and how jack is gone.

When the game started, amber was painting a field of 2 houses, one was a red one and the other was a yellow, When she never got any replies to barb, it meant that she was dead plus, When she said that she changed the calender that also meant she was dead too, Jack on the other hand was not passed. He was ignoring amber because she was GONE! Amber lived in that house next-door. When she moved to new york she apparently passed afterwards after meeting J a long time ago, Jack could've been in in the afterlife and had gotten a chance to come back together. The picture was signed by jack, and so, she could not realize because she woke up there, she was never there to tell the tale.

My theory is that Amber is actually stuck in time. She says, “I bet those two wished they were paused in time” and Amber got stuck in time. Whenever Jake ignores her it’s showing that Amber had already died during his time and during Amber’s time she was still young. The reasons she has no more memory of him is because her spirit erased it and didn’t want her feelings to get hurt when Jake dies.

I think Jack died by his house getting hit by lighting like one of the scenes showed Young Amber looking through her window at Old Jack trapped underneath a shelf and Young Amber calling after him. Though Jack died after Amber had moved when she was regaining her memories it shows that whilst realising how Jack died for players to understand they showed it as Young Amber looking at him as Young Amber was the only Amber Jack saw due to her moving so they both never really got to meet each other in their old state.

I think the game is about the story behind the painting. The character we're playing is Amber of the painting who after remembering, sees the museum and then sees the real, elderly human Amber seeing the painting who probably also revisits her memories with Jack who just passed away. The game shows what's the story 'behind the frame' (painting) 😊.
My theory is that…
The whole time y’all were technically reliving amber’s memories and flashback of her youth and how, what, why jack died and what he was doing when she moved since her art got accepted, in the end she went into the museum where jack’s art was display in and she was thinking of the memories she had with him and the time when they were still young and the woman that was in purple was amber since they look the same and have the earrings along with purple, her color (what she said) and is sad at the end was because jack died and she thought of him when she saw and was looking at the photos and painting that he painted of young Amber ‘aka her the one in purple’ with her some of her family along with her looking at his paintings and work.
