    I've been a fan since the mid-sixties. Johnny's my favorite singer then and now. I never get tired of listening to him.
    When is he going to get his due with the RRHOF. It's so overdue!!!!

    Saw him in Lansing, MI just a few years back. His voice, style, class hasn't changed a bit. SO impressed with this man! Nonstop talent. Not to mention he makes me melt every time - those eyes are simply incredible. Wish he'd play around MI again soon!!

    Great post--one of JR's best works I think. I've seen him do this live recently and it's fantastic. And he travels light--plays lead, with a bass player, keyboards and drummer--still one of the most memorable live performances I've ever seen. JR--RRHF

    I would say that this attempt at a country rock thing at the peak of his skills. What I hear is confidence and the tightest of productions. He took a shot hear as it looks from the get go that it is an MTV kind of film- need a little smoke,,,,nice to see him more aggressive in a rock song.

    Lidia- Can you spread any light on this 1st class (read expensive-although he must have some untapped favors" Was he going to give the TNN audience a fair chance to get behind him? This one should have charted. Also- do you know if he insists on producing himself or does he let a producer come in that never heard of him to break out of the box that gets to everyone. I am thinking a OOHHHH! can you imAGINGE yOACHUM AND jOHNY??

  • @duffgordon9005
    @duffgordon9005 8 років тому

    I gotta believe that no sixsome could do this better period. In the pinch- sure I want him to play a wicked lead- but he does the whole song with, besides a nice tight rythym guitar. Don't kid yourself for a top lead guitarist with no voice is a tough road, with the production being what have to be some of Nashille's top studio guys. I am going to mention a gift that Johny has a few bands have but he has mastered. Every player finishes in a Johnny written finish , that has some more =juice, a nice hook and a big pull to make certain that large mouth gets in the boat, and a wind up to the second. A band called Tangier has some nasty wind-ups with two "leads" merging at the end.

    JR- PLEASE LISTEN, THE OLDER YOU GET THE MORE BLUESY, HIPPER , COME ON STAGE WITH YOUR TRIUMPH.
    dEDICATE IT TO THE HALL OF FAME AND LAY OUT NON STOP YOUR TOP 15. rE THE hALL OF FAME, ONE OF MY FAVORITE SHOWS OF ALL TIME---tOMMY LEE GOES TO COLLEGE,,, IT WAS A blast, . tHE THING ABOUT tOMMY IS HE WAS THE MOST LOVABLE OF ALL CHARACTERS -ALL TEN EPISODES !! sO HERE IS MUY POINT. tOMMY REJECTED BY SOME FRATERNITIES STARTED HIS OWN FRATERNITY, OF SO CALLED "LOSERS" BUT . SO LET'S TAKE THAT CONCEPT AND OFFICIALLY START HMMM "tOO GOOD TO BE IN THE HALL OF FAME. jOHNY'S NUMBER ONE, NUMBER TWO-gLEN cAMPBELL (THEY FIGURE THE BEST GUITARIST AND PERFORMER WAS NOT rockie enough. tHE BEAUTY IS, THERE WILL BE A HOME FOR THE 3-4 HIT WONDERS. sERIOUSLY THOUGH THEY HAVE TO BE GREAT IN THEIR STYLE, BUT CANNOT BE BORING . cAN YOU IMAGINE THE PLAQUES ON THOSE TWO WOULD READ? Maybe keeo it to the 60's?
    tHE ONLY RESTRICTION IS IF SOME REAL TALENT GOES TO THE jr HALL OF FAME, HE CAMNOT SIGN WITH tHE FIRST HALL OF FAME- i KNOW HUMAN NATURE AND IF jOHNY WENT- OHH THEY WOULD WANT HIM BECAUSE HE WAS TAKEN. tHE FINAL THING IS YOU WOULD HAVE TO HAVE ALL THE STARS ALL SIGN THE SAME DAY. aS FAR AS MONEY? iF tOMMY lEE WANTED TO THROW AT FRAT PARTY HE PAID FOR IT. wELL jOHNNY WE KNOW OF ALL THE PERFORMERS YOUR MOMMA DIDN'T
    RAISE NO FOOL- WE KNOW YOU WERE ON THE ENEMIES LIST FOR BUYING A LABEL AND OWNING YOUR MUSIC. tHAT MAY EXPLAIN WHY THEY HAVE TURNED THE OTHER CHEEK. bOTTOM lINE- yOU FUND YOUR OWN hALL OF fAME!! oH, THEY WOULD SAY, jOHNY RIVERS HAD TO START HIS OWN hALL OF fAME- yES PUNK, THAT IS CORRECT, YOU KNOW WHY?
    BECAUSE HE IS NOT ONLY THE BEST IN SO MANY CATEGORIES , hE SOLD A FEW RECORDS AND LABELS AND THE ROYALTIES GO CHING CHING. .. FOR THIS TO FLY WE NEED BOB DYLAN AS HE WOULD love THIS EVERYMAN VIBE AND TO TELL THE STORY OF How , in JR's HONOR , that his Hall of fame will begin the classification of "The best cover artist" in 5 years
    integrals, with Dylan blowing everyone's mind with the praise of 41st street ,, the plate would be given to the Museum and to the artist Just maybe play Tim Hardin and then JR's and ask which artist did you just hear? Then have some stories of Whiskey with some rockers who may have heard Johny react to a packed house. Maybe Mick Fleetwood or Robby krieger. . I would never ever want to diminish the original artistry which some being outstanding. The day you announce here is a check for $100
    JR I JUST HAD THE IDEA OF PAYING OUT NOTHING AND BUILD THE LARGEST RIB PLACE WITH A BIG STAGE/ TOP TECHNICALS.. oNCE A YEAR AN INDUCTEE OR 3 PICTURES OF EACH PERFORMER LINING THE WALLS . wITHE STAGE THERE
    ANYONE THAT A HIT OR TWO COULD PERFORM. -i AM WORN OUT JR

    I HAVE THE IDEA, HE EITHER GOES BACK TO ELVIS BLAACK HAIR orrrrrrrrr FOR FREAKOUT , OH THAT WILL BE TALKING- GO BILLY IDOL................................WHITE ...go ahead and do the biker thing. Also, He and Billy should hook up for five of Billies best
    and 5 of Johnies best.....Anyone up for this? JR and billy switch songs --Start with JR singing White Wedding ! Billy does secret agent---

      why should he color his hair this man is in his 70's he is real/////////

    • @duffgordon9005
      @duffgordon9005 7 років тому

      Point y=taken- here he is 68 and was is intent to take a stab at country with the use of a very fine video? This is Johny- So you want to know if I can rock, well here it is. I wonder if he called in some favors to get this video
      done, or if he just wrote the check. Johnny's usual super thick hair looks thinner Gray, so I think he sould do some black, what they call "perma color" which thickens the actual hair and it washes out. Johnny may have one of 5 in a long career who didn't abuse himself., so, what a ya say Johnny, get yourself a swimsuit and a tan, go to hawaii for that real surf music- since that is one gernre never conquered. HOT IDEA IMO _ Since they have the same drwaals - Louisana cah=jun, do an album with Tony Joe white. Call it "Swamp Brothers." Ohhhhh , it would be soooo good.

    He's been considered, but never admitted, to the Hall of Fame....seriously? They let some of the worse bands possible in and they don't consider this rock and roll? What a sham!
