忘れもしないのは、1年前、吉祥寺の小さなカフェで、ギター1本、裸足で歌うカネコさんに遭遇したことです。
当時から楽曲を聴いてはいたものの、いきなり目の前に現れたカネコさんの歌声に、僕は心が震えました。
声とギター、それだけでした。でもそれだけで充分で、歌声や仕草、全ての様子が、祈りのようでした。
どうにも頭を離れず、気になって、気になって、それから1年。
いてもたってもいられず「『ロマンス宣言』のMVを作りませんか？」とお声がけをしました。
こうして大好きな楽曲を映像化できたこと、そしてカネコアヤノさんと、尊敬するスタッフのみんなと一緒に、街や海を走り回った時間が、僕の宝物です。

Yes, it does mock country stereotypes but this song gave me a typical thunderstorm vibe here in the Philippines. Yes, I love it. The cold air along with strong wind, and the rain slaps you and your roof hard and the lightning just kept going on and on that it kept flashing on your eyes and thunders just blasts your ears.. but it still feels calm.
