This was the most poorly handled thing in the history of the afl. Freo clearly should have won the game. there was 0 logic in bakers free kick. If he kicks it saints get to win? wtf? Absolutely ridiculous
greg simons bakers first kick wasn’t even a set shot😂
greg simons hey buddy they have free the win after the game so yeh it wasn’t handled the best but they fixed it and gave feel the 4 points
The decision was overturned the day after, quit your bitching
The afl officially ruled the game as a 1 point win to Fremantle a few days later.
The fact it took more than 5 minutes to reach a decision is ridiculous enough as it is
I would be pissed off too if I was Chris Colony
I actually heard the siren but barley, I can faintly hear a buzz, and it happens as the clock finishes, so yes, that was the siren.
VFL at its best....
AFL
@@59771006 too Victorian to be AFL....
still don’t know why Baker got another kick
He was bumped (possibly high) well after he kicked it. It should have been over already, but to the umpire who didn't hear a siren, it was the correct decision.
They overturned it on the Wednesday which was good
As a saints fan, this is completely fine. I don’t see the problem.
obvious bias
@@MitchyPlayzz nah really
@@kanewhite2161 the problem was the siren was too faint all game dude
did anyone think to ask the siren guy who presses the buzzer?
That what I was thinking
I LOVE YOU SO much
thanks!
Who?
This could have happened at the gabba Yesterday (Yesterday was the 24th March 2023) Where there was a power outage which stopped play between Melbourne and Brisbane and when the players came back on the commentators were saying that the siren may not be able to be heard
Common sense was no whereas to be seen on this day!!
Turn the Siren UP !!!
So in the end common sense prevailed and freo won. 94-93
No they didnt they called it a draw. which is the most ridiculous thing of all time
greg simons wrong. The Dockers were given the win days later.
and of course matt nicholls is part of this debacle
You still can’t hear the siren in this. Absolute disgrace this sort of situation was able to occur.
Listen closely, you can hear it at 1:22
it happened at 1:07
Deja Vu
wait, so who won ?
Ravi Krothapally ye
Freo was later awarded the victory
Tbh I can’t even hear the siren
Guess who that guy is OHHH!
What a Disgrace this was
So who actually won?
Freo was later awarded the victory
Fremantle won by a point
I didn’t hear a siren
1:22
Pretty embarrassing 😑
The umpiring needed an investigation!
here after adelaide got robbed by the goal ump (rd 23 2023)
Literally 😂😂
Hahha even after the Umps made their decision to reward the Saints with a free kick, they still looked as clueless as ever hahah clowns, the lot of them.
I was the 3 like and 1st comment OG BtW
When?
The same umpire in this game was also caused another controversy in fremantle vs collingwood 2024 that gave a terrible free kick to freo in front of goal
I watched this low populous footy match on TV a siren fault damaged this football and everything it stands for.
