I know when I used to do air conditioning we put a dye in the system. And we would use a UV light and special glasses to find it. They might have something like that just for general oil.
I could probably put food coloring in their, it's food grade so shouldn't be a problem. I'm pretty sure it's coming from the transmission seal, just by where it's dripping in the chain.
When it's a seal that is not torn.. I have used 205 reseal... It's from like Chicago chemical products.. it's been around for years it won't fix gasket leaks but if it's a seal with like a shaft spinning through it it's a polymer and it works really quite well.. you do have to put it in clean oil.. so you'd like to change your oil and then put this in
Ya probably won't be riding it all that much, I'm planning on switching over to the springer for awhile. I've only Taken that bike out once since I did all the work on it. Going to have to put some miles on it to make sure everythings working fine on it.
To me just check your oil.. keep it topped off. It's like . cars burn oil and they can burn oil for years as long as you keep adding oil there's not a problem it's the people that don't add oil and the motor blows up.. well maybe for cleaning off the spark plugs now and then😊
Transmissions shouldn't really burn oil, it's a closed system and doesn't go thru engine grabbing all the combustion heat. Mine has gone down slightly. It will continue to leak while it's leaning on the stand until the level of the oil is below the leaking seal.
Mine did the same thing. Replaced the inner primary bearing and seal to fix it. I use standard ATF fluid in my sealed primary so it was easy to decipher trans vs primary leak. Good luck!

Never a last leak , NATURE OF THE BEAST.
The rebuild this winter should solve everything... I hope..

Think thats what I'll do is blocked off the feed and return. One less leak today worrying about.
That 'filter' on the breather hose doesn't do ANYTHING except restrict the breather. The air only travels out, there is no air going in.😅
It's know just catches errant oil being blown out.
