Elizabeth I's relationship with Parliament was occasionally very strained. Whilst Elizabeth had significant control within it, they often talked about issues on the royal prerogative like her marriage and the succession. On the other hand, Elizabeth only summoned 13 Parliaments and they would usually give her the money she needed.
