It's interesting that the prechorus ("falling and were losing control" part) chord progression and vocal line is a product of its time. You won't hear it anywhere else but this specific era/genre. I'd I had to name it, I'd call it Neo-Elfman(Burton). Listen to Thank You for the Venom by My Chemical Romance at 2:40 and you can hear the exact same little inflection. It was a brand new progression that could ONLY have come from Emo, Classical(Bach, Beethoven) and Metal being squished together. This is kind of a weird concept, but there are... let's say "critical nodes" of musical thought. Like a skill tree that intersects to create something else. Daft Punk could not have occured before the hardware required existed, obviously, but their grooves couldn't exist unless there was Funk, Rap, and Disco music. Funk gave the hip bass grooves, Disco gave the flashy and open melodies, Rap made loops, with or without singing, mainstream. Sadly, this is when lyrics started taking a backseat to groove which was supposed to be solved by Rap, and was, for a time. We've actually regressed back to the musical days of Daft Punk's beginnings. Mainstream Rap has almost completely eliminated the need for lyrics. Kanye proved this in two separate songs: Runaway, where the final 4 minutes are unintelligible singing heavily distorted with a talk box, and Lift Yourself, where he uses the two stupidest words possible "poop & scoop" in a rap intonation that sounds like actual rapping.
That was incredible! Never heard of this band until about 15 minutes ago, and I'm glad as hell that I finally found out! Thanks so much for posting this, it is truly epic to watch and listen to!
I love this so much. I'm so happy I found this band, man. You can just see his passion as he sings, and him resisting the urge to just break out and scream those words, ya know? :)
did John Falls continue after the break-up? or is he a lost sheep with an insanely intense voice? i love his voice it's deep yet hard... i dunno how to explain it... it's a one of a kind ;)
Damian Richard Heidingsfelder he sounds WAY different, and isn’t credited in the making of the music on various sites if looked on, so no idea on where he is atm
His vocal quality, at least in this song, is called "gravelly" (like a bunch of tiny rocks, not like a tombstone) "textured" or "raw." One or all fit, and they aren't just synonyms. Gravelly is like Joe Cocker, Ramstein, Kim Carnes (listen to Betty Davis Eyes and you'll know what I mean) Most people would have to damage their vocal chords to sound that way. Textured is like John Mayer, Dave Matthews, Ceelo Green. It comes from singing through the lowest point in the back of the throat, like an impression of Kermit the Frog. Raw is like Kurt Kobain, Chester Bennington, and Chevelle. It comes from singing with the hard pallet on the roof of the mouth. Some of this is stuff you can train for your own voice, but most of it is not. You either sound that way or you don't, and it's easy to tell if it's an imitation of the real thing. This guy has the real thing.

GREATEST Music White Rabbit (Sorry for gramatick I from poland ;D)
this song had a solid adrenaline that make you thinked about fighting scene, action movies, or extreme off road racing
Interesting how the singer's voice goes from being so raw in the electric version to so soft and relaxed like this. What's the singer's name?
