I can only imagine how beautiful and just great that street could be, is there wasn't cars... The restaurants' patios could be extended more to the street, more greenery. And also just more space to people walking and cycling.
Then I'd LOVE to cycle on this street!

Absolutely! Helsinki could be an awesome city to live and to be if it embraced human centric streets over car sewer streets. The city has that feeling you get from great cities, which in this case mainly stems from beautiful and varied architecture and land planning, but the streets are mostly god awful. On top of that, Helsinki city center gets hot as heck during summer time all thanks to no trees and asphalt.
Check out Rue du 22 Novembre Street in Strasburg. It went through a fantastic transformation from a car sewer to a lively street, and I loved being there every second. Google street view may still show how it looked before the transformation, but I couldn't find any points anymore when I tried around a week ago.

Paint is a good start but not enough. There should at least be a clear separation between car lanes and bike lanes, for example by using poles (as shown at 1:20) or a clear border. Cars parked next to bike lanes also can cause dangerous situations. The situation at 2:30 looks ridiculous, to be honest. This zigzagging makes it confusing and unsafe. Cars shouldn't be allowed to block bike lanes either, which happened on several places in this video. I know we Dutchies are spoiled with our infrastructure, but it's far from perfect here either. Helsinki seems to be making progress, but it needs to do more to take it to a higher level. Helsinki has a lot of potential: there is space, it's relatively flat, it's rather compact, it's quiet, many roads are quiet.

so many parking infractions in this short video, imagine being arrogant enough to see a bike lane separated with bollards and choosing to park there anyway

Hello there! And nope. Helsinki does not have good cycling infrastructure. Granted, improvements have been made, but not at the required pace and much of new infrastructure is STILL car-centric. If I'd get the chance, I'd move out of Finland in a heartbeat. But, well... things aren't much better elsewhere.
