It sounds like you’re getting double audio from the original source - I know it’s probably just the audio being sent to the various destinations, but it’s odd, as it doesn’t seem to happen on all of Octa’a effects routings. Keep up the amazing work man, you’re an inspiration.

Heavily distorts kick drum - "make sure I can see a VU meter so I'm not clipping here" - distortion intensifies... hahah glad you had that VU meter up... wouldn't want to wreck the sound! 😛
