A very warm welcome in the “Alps” of Duisburg!
Our Mother Earth, after millennia of nurturing us, is severely ill, infected initially through the unknowing interactions of us humans. Who would we then be, if we abandoned her now?
The steel mill in the background is in its final days of production. Instead, a centre for the production of energy from hydrogen will take its place. It is only small step toward climate neutrality, of which many more must follow, in order to make the production of a more sustainable “green steel” in our city possible.

Orchester des Wandels (Orchestras of Change) is an initiative of German professional orchestras who are dedicated to confronting the climate crisis in creative ways through music. Our ongoing benefit concerts support a reforestation project in Madagascar as well as numerous regional projects.
