The early 2000s was obseesed with spies for kids. Spy Kids, Cody Banks, Kim Possible, Totally Spies, all the toy gadgets they constantly had commercials for
Man, this video reminded me that my strongest memory of the Cody Banks movies was when two kids' mom on my swim team took me to a meet and put on the movie on her expensive headrest-back TV screens. Only they just had two pairs of headphones, which her sons claimed, and the audio only played through the headphones, so I just awkwardly sat watching a silent movie the whole ride.
Spy Kids definitely set off the 2000s’ “undercover adolescent super-spy” subgenre. And it was also an anomaly for good hispanic family representation in Hollywood.

The whole third grade didn't fit in one classroom so we watched it sitting on the floor in the hallway with the lights turned off--the sequence of the birthday party ice cube shoe fiasco brought it all right back!
I didn't think much of the movies back when they were new, but I did watch them both through rentals not long after Destination London came out. I did find them a bit weird, but I could not dislike them, mostly because I enjoyed Totally Spies (and still do, so thanks for that earlier video), and so the movies felt like a live-action male version of the show. Sure, I'll still take Totally Spies over Cody Banks, but again, I cannot dislike the movies - and a related side note, the movies did help prime me to enjoy D.E.B.S., which, yeah, was not exactly a movie meant for kids, but it cranks up its own campiness and silliness while still delivering some rather good and memorable lines and moments.
3:12 - “Dr. Brinkman” is a likely play on the cold-war concept of “brinksmanship”, since both countries were seemingly on the brink of missile-based conflict.

I've watched both of these movies many, many times. I used to stay at a daycare during the summer that was run by someone we knew from church and connected to their house. In the mornings, the older kids would get to go upstairs to their living room and watch TV or a movie, and they had these on DVD. It's funny, I was the right age to watch all his stuff but I have never actually watched anything live-action with Frankie Muniz in it.
wild to think, but i forgot how many big names were in this movie lol.
I remember both of these movies dude. I grew up watching Malcom in the Middle so was instantly a Frankie Muniz fan when I watched these growing up. I liked the second film when he's fighting Victor Diaz and everyone in the ballroom was singing War What Is It Good For It was such an awesome scene
I had forgotten about Racing Stripes and now I am cursed to remember watching it on repeat for 2 weeks on holiday cause the town I was staying in had neither internet nor phone signal...
You're the best Jordan!
Agent Cody Banks is one Disney takes of James Bond mixed with Kim Possible’s level of humour. Remember watching it and remember that it’s weird, but Keith David really puts a smile on my face.
Wow, this video got me looking into Frankie Muniz's Wikipedia and he's done so many varied things since the 2000's that can warrant at least another 2 Muniz March's. Not only was he Malcom, but the mad lad was also the voice of the zebra in racing stripes, drives race car, played drums for an indie band and was even voiced FREAKING DOMINO IN THE 102 DALMATIANS PS1 GAME. Bruh.
He even voiced Chester on the 1st season of Fairly Odd Parents!
Oh yea. And wasn't he in one of the sharknado movies. Sucks he had a short scene.
Every time Keith David gets cast
Director: OK Keith just be yourself but can you turn it up/down a notch?
Bro I completely forgot about these, thank you 🤣
Aye keep up the great content Jordan
i cant tell you how much i loved this movie! always wanted to be cody at summer camp being a spy.
8:40, I think he was confusing T.S. Elliot with George Elliot
